They removed the old rails, built and installed new ones, and disposed of the old ones. They arrived on schedule, were a pleasure to do business with, did an excellent job, cleaned up afterwards, and the price was right.

Dave came to see what needed to be done and provided a clear and reasonable estimate promptly. When we settled on a date, the crew showed up exactly on time and did the work capably and expeditiously. They were all friendly and polite and left no mess at all. I'm quite pleased with the work they did and would definitely call on them for future jobs.

Great. Very professional; efficient, neat, organized, patient w questions and fully explained process and any concerns we had. Picked up all debris and made minor disruption to existing landscape. Would recommend enthusiastically and would use them again.

We hired Treetop Construction to build a front deck, replace a side deck that was rotting, and build a staircase from the 2nd floor back deck. We could not have been more pleased with their work. They were professional, friendly, PUNCTUAL, and the quality of their work was outstanding. They kept us advised of the timeline, and finished the projects on time as promised. We can't think of a single negative thing to say about Treetop. They are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dave and his team were wonderful to work with and the finished product is even better than we had anticipated. We obtained three bids on the project. Dave's was the lowest and, even though conventional wisdom suggests you choose the middle bid, we were impressed with Dave's professionalism from the beginning and so decided to hire him. Dave provided us with a fully itemized estimate. In spite of heavy rain which caused construction delays across the state, Dave started construction just one week after the original estimate. As the work began, I requested a change in color for the Trex deck as well as a couple of other changes and Dave cheerfully complied with no additional cost. Two to three employees were here daily and the whole job was completed in just over a week in spite of three days of rain. Dave's team, led by Brian, were professional, efficient and friendly. Once work began, the area building inspector expressed concern that the footings on the original wall of the house might not be strong enough to support that side of the deck. Dave called in an architect and, based on his advice and with the approval of the building inspector, two additional footings were added as well as added supports. The extra work, which could not have been foreseen, cost Dave time and money yet he charged us only a nominal sum for the architect and additional support. The supports for the deck were dug into a manmade slope on the side of our house and many large stones rolled down onto our lower lawn as they dug the footings. When the work was completed, the team cleaned up the work site completely including hauling all the stones up a steep incline and dumping them where we had requested. My husband and I highly recommend Dave and plan on hiring him to build a four season room.

In all of our meetings and phone calls and emails Dave never gave any indication that he had any doubts about doing our agreed upon project. As stated above, he promised to start in September. We had been discussing details of the project for many months on the phone and in person at our home. Just 3 weeks before he was supposed to begin work, we received a brief email stating that he had changed his mind and would no longer be doing our $40,000 deck construction. He did not even apologize. When asked if he would at least suggest other contractors for us to seek, he never responded. We are extremely disappointed. We know he can do an excellent job because we've seen the photos of his completed projects.

We had our railings replaced and the steps ripped out and redone too, the guys that came to my house were pleasant, experts and did a great clean up as well. Always on time each day... Great job!

Job began as promised and work was continuous until completed. Job took ~ 12 days. All workers were professional and worked full days. Workers were very neat, and stored equipment at the end of each day. Very happy with end product.

Cleaned up after Hurricane Sandy - amazingly fast and precise. could not have asked for better.

When asked about the estimate the provider said he goes home and does the calculations. Well almost 2 weeks later and we still haven't received the email with the estimate. If he was too busy or wasn't interested in the job, he should have told us so that we could have been making phone calls and finding someone that was. A lot of companies are booked up by now, and we just wasted two weeks.

At that time there was one specific thing that prevented us from using them and that was at that time we were trying to figure out what we should do financially. It was more on lines with our own personal finances. They gave us plenty of time. They came out a couple of different times. He was professional, courteous, and explained his works. We definitely liked them. Overall he was very good.

You need to be very specific with them and clarify before they begin the work. That was an issue for us. They mis-understood what we wanted. We ended up having to use a different product. We wanted fasteners that you couldn't see and they couldn't use them with the product they chose, even though we requested it prior to the job.

I did a fair amount of searching, on Angie's list, servicemagic and on the Trex web site to try to find the best contractors to give me estimates. I ended up getting 3 estimates in total. One was ridiculously high and extremely lack in detail. A second was the lowest, was fairly detailed, but there were some miscommunications by the contractor in terms or when he would show up to do the estimate and what he wrote in the estimate vs what he verbalized. Treetop's estimate ended up being somewhere between the other two. Significantly higher than the low bidder, but WAY less than the high bidder. His timeliness, communication and written estimate detail/professionalism was the best of the three. In addition, because they are a Trex Gold contractor, they were able to offer me a better warranty from Trex, including labor, than another contractor could. Before I made a final decision they were also able to give me an additional benefit for the same price. For the same price he had quoted me for traditional wood based framing, he had a special offer from Trex which would allow him to give me steel framing instead. Using that steel framing more than doubled the length of the labor warranty he could give me, which was already better than what I could get elsewhere. Once he had the materials, we agreed on a start date. They showed up on time and showed up on time each and every day of the project (even when the weather was threatening). The project took a few days longer than expected because using the steel framing seemed to require more work than they had expected. Upon completion I found a few relatively small issues (a couple of bubbles where the Trex stairs were nailed into the risers and a less than perfect mitre joint on one corner where the facia met between 2 side, and the steel seemed to squeak a little when you walked on the middle of the deck). In an ideal world, they would have seen and corrected these themselves, however once I pointed those problems out to them, they fixed them to my satisfaction even after having received the final part of the payment.

Treetop Construction did a fabulous job from start to finish. The owner (Dave Weiss) was very professional and well informed on proper design and installation. Site preparation required leveling of the property dues to slope/pitch. The base was professionally prepared to ensure weed mitigation and level blocking, and included a lot of paver cutting to address the many curves in the patio. The crew was extremely industrious, courteous and knowledgeable of the required work. The owner was always available to address any issue that we wanted addressed. We recommend Treetop Construction to anyone looking for professional and courteous construction at a fair price.

Dave and his crew performed a 'tune up' of my walkway (pavers with 2 steps) and replaced the rotting stringers and risers on my front porch steps. Both items were repaired perfectly and at a cost that was very reasonable. Dave was very professional and created a very positive customer experience. I would hire him again.
