I had had two previous companies come to my house and they could not locate the septic tank and wanted to charge me for a backhoe and expensive riser system. I highly recommend ProSeptic. Description of Work: The guys showed up early and cleaned are septic tank. We started smelling it last night, first thing this morning I called ProSeptic and they said they would be here between 2pm - 4pm. They came early, were very very friendly. The got right on it and finished before the time they said they would arrive. See you every 2 years ProSeptic! They even put grass seed down over where they had to dig. No joke!

When the job turned out to require much more, they offered us fair and precise estimates and a very accommodating schedule for service. They did a superb job and we're confident now that our new home won't be having any septic issues for a good long while. + 0 moreWe were looking to purchase a home and wanted to inspect the septic tank to see what condition it was in. They were able to work with the real estate agent to setup a time to access the property. They arrived on time and found the tank within a few minutes even when I had no idea where it was. There happen to be a heavy snowfall a few days before and the snow on the long driveway was a foot deep. At first they had trouble getting the truck up the driveway but they did not give up and did everything they could and finally got the truck up the driveway so they could pump the tank. Luckily there was no issues with the tank, but they recommended replacing it soon because it was a metal tank and it's age. They also provided my with a written estimate of tank replacement for negotiations. I was very pleased with their professionalism and expertise.

+ -1 moreWe contacted Proseptic to help eliminate an intermittent sewer odor in our basement. Jason and his crew showed up on time, listened to my description of the problem, ticked down through a list of the possible causes, then decided on a course of action and carried it through quickly and professionally. I was impressed by their knoweldge and experience, workmanlike manner, and excellent customer skills. This has been a huge improvement over every experience I've had in the past with any septic service provider, and even most plumbing tradesman for that matter. I suppose time will tell whether the problem has been completely eliminated, but I have confidence that it has (I will update this review if the future proves me wrong). I highly recommend their services, and will use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreTo begin ,this was an old system that we constantly had problems with. We spent 2k on another unnamed provider which is listed here with only 1 rating as of this writing ,needless to say it was a nightmare they dug up the ground left the hole unfilled and I had to fill in myself it seemed to work for a year or so and then problems continued.We contacted Jason and his crew who were very professional ,explained the problem and gave an estimate . It was a difficult job as they had to dig under an enclosed porch to install piping from house to septic tank. Jason kept me aware of the work being done and explained the septic tank was not draining into the leach field and what additional work needed to be done . This work took an additional day to dig up the leach field and install new infiltrators . Jason has a very experienced worker who also explained the situation and this individual does top quality work . I waited a couple months to write the review because I wanted to make sure all problems were resolved .Jason is an honest dependable person who I would highly recommend . There is a reason proseptic is rated A with many great reviews!!! I

+ -1 moreProSeptic arrived promptly on a very cold day. Both Jason and Tom were very professional and after poking around for a short time they were able to find the lid to the septic tank. Very quickly they set up the hose and pumped it out clean. They also let us know they saw no issues with the tank itself. The whole job took less than an hour. Jason was even thoughtful enough to spread some grass seed over the area where he had to dig for tank cover.

They did a very conscientious job such as relocating the tank slightly in order to eliminated a 90 degree bend in the waste line from the house to the tank and back filling the tank to be sure it was settled before covering it over. I did not rate the price of the job since I did not do any "comparison shopping". I chose Proseptic based on the recommendations I saw on Angie's List.
Description of Work: Initially I thought I should have my septic tank pumped. However, when uncovering the tank I realized that after 42 years it really needed to be replaced. They initially inspected the tank on Monday and they arranged to begin work at 9 AM Friday.

Description of Work: Part 1: When we called, Proseptic they made a very quick (next day) appointment with us. They arrived with their pump truck promptly on the day they had said they were going to do the work. They located the septic tank, and the concrete tank that holds the pump (which pumps to the distribution box and leach field.) We had asked them to clean the septic. Because the septic tank had not been emptied for a long time, they told us that, in addition to pumping out the tank, they would need to thoroughly wash the tank and apply biological agents to help treat the tank. They discovered that the pump had burned out and showed us that it had been the wrong kind of pump. They also discovered that the electrical connection into which the pump was plugged was corroded and needed to be replaced. They told us to get an electrician to replace the electrical connection. They proceeded to pump out the tank very quickly and efficiently with their equipment. They left the pump temporarily hooked up to a water-proof extension cord from the house. Everything worked well after they finished. They replaced the earth over the tank and reseeded the area. Unfortunately, this was only part 1 of a longer 'fix'. The electrician's job will be reviewed elsewhere. Unfortunately, the job the electrician did resulted in the new pump burning out, and we had to call Proseptic again to diagnosed and repair the problem. |Part 2: The second time they came, they diagnosed the problem and replaced the pump again with a sewer pump of a different design, which could work well with the new electrical connection. They did not charge us for the pump replacement. Everything worked well for a few days, then the septic started backing up again. We called them back. Again, they made a very prompt appointment with us and were very courteous. They discovered that, although the pump functioned, a valve had become clogged with a loose piece of concrete from the pump tank housing, preventing the pump from pumping the effluent. They removed the concrete, and the pump immediately functioned perfectly.

We're first-time homeowners, and they answered all of our questions and educated us on what they were doing as they did it. We also asked about snaking out slow toilets, and they talked us out of it because the problem is probably caused by calcium buildup instead of a clog. I trust someone who puts his customer's needs above his profits.

+ -1 moreThree workers showed up for the job, Jason, Kevin and Tommy. They were on time and professional. I was very interested in everything that they did since the poor job done several years earlier by their competition was causing me to dig up my lawn a second time. Let me be clear, these guys did a fantastic job. They showed me everything that was wrong with the current installation and told me step by step what they were doing to correct it. I'm an Engineer myself, so I know whether someone is giving me a straight line. These guys were on the up and up and worked hard. They smoothed out the lawn and reseeded it before leaving. The price was very reasonable. There was a lower bidder, but I didn't trust that the other bidder would do as good a job. I had already seen what cheap work gets you. So if you are considering using ProSeptic, I think you are making a good choice. The service is great, and these guys are skilled and work hard. I know that if there ever is an issue with the system in the future they will be the ones I call to help out.
Description of Work: Removed existing 750 gallon septic tank that had been improperly installed by another company and installed a new 1000 gallon unit.

He located septic tank at house, (no printed record of it's location available) hand dug to remove cover (ground too wet for backhoe) removed cover, pumped tank, replaced cover and soil. Charged an additional small fee to hand dig the cover which we found totally acceptable. A great job on short notice. Will definitely use their services again in the future and would highly recommend them.
