PM Painting is the contractor. He had experienced workers and an apprentice on call and ready to work. He and they showed up on time for every appointment, start to finish. He kept in touch with me by phone to let me know when he was on the way. His workers were efficient, polite, and unobtrusive. The job took many days because it rained about once every three days. When they left each day, my grounds were neat. Phil, the contractor paid great attention to detail. When a set of the wooden sheets arrived with a different texture than the originals, he had his men sand the surface to get a match, at no additional cost. After the job was done, he came around to inspect and noticed some paint had dripped on pipes alongside the outside. He provided paint and had his men paint the whole pipe so it wouldn't look all spattered. One impressive thing he did was in matching the stain color to my neighbor. He tried four, maybe five, different mixes from different paint companies before he was satisfied he had it right. (There was no extra charge for the paints we did not end up using.) Another thing that impressed me is after I told the apprentice that the week before I wasn't able to put out my garbage on collection day because the materials in my garage were blocking the bin, he made sure that he left a corridor in the garage so it wouldn't happen again. During the work Phil's crew e noticed that part of one outside wall had no insulation. Phil told me he would insulate that section and that did add to the original estimate. He told me up front what it would cost and charged me for the insulating material only, not the labor because 1. the section was already open and the only extra work was stuffing the insulation in, and 2. more importantly, that's how he does business. This was my first expereince with PM Painting. The contractor I had used before was unable to fit me into his schedule and he recommended Phil. I was hesitant until that first contractor told me Phil was the person who taught him "all" he knows. I will definitely be a return customer. P.S. I called Phil to ask what label he wanted me to use. I wasn't able to find his exact description among the choices. Here they are: painting contractor / home improvement / light carpentry
Description of Work: Extrior of house-replaced boards and 10x4 sheets that were in bad condition-primed and stained entire exterior.
