Really creeped me out how they took a picture of my house, made it into a magnet, and mailed it to me. I would rather pay a higher price than go with this company. I felt like we were raw meat on a roadway and they were the vulture.

I have been on an automatic delivery plan with Love Effron for the last 3 months. They have delivered heating oil thrice during this time and the prices have been very competitive. I have not signed a contract with them and therefore, I am not bound to them in any way. So far, they have saved me some money. Hope that continues in the future.

Twice they charged for repairs that were covered on our service contract --and only withdrew the charges when we argued the point. They were polite and they did good work, but it undermined our confidence to have them twice bill us for work that was covered by our plan.

Petro is always very good. There are no problems. Either they'll come automatically or if I want to get it topped off, I'll give them a call and they'll send a truck up. They come, they deliver the oil and they're gone. They do a good job.

I was a Petro customer for about three years. My last heating oil delivery was 12/1/12. This was on a Saturday, so I was home. I checked the price-per-gallon on the bill against a local heating oil company (Depew). The local company states their fuel prices on their website, as well as in front of their office on route 9W. PETRO'S PRICE WAS $0.80/GALLON HIGHER THAN THE LOCAL COMPANY! So I changed heating oil companies. I didn't make the effort to go through past heating oil bills and compare those prices to the competition. The first year I was with Petro (2010), the cost of their service contract was $130 for the year, paid in advance. The next year, this cost was $215. For 2012, Petro sent me a bill for $304 for this service contract. I called to complain, and they took $60 off.

Love Effron is sometimes difficult to reach via phone/online (unless you owe them money or they have a big job upcoming for you). They have just replaced an old leaking superstor ultra 50 gal indirect water heater (which LE claimed they tried to get the local superstor delaler to cover by warrantly -but it just never happened- apparently superstor claimed the leak wasn't their weld! (it was top weld inside the insulation on tank wall!). So I instead went with a new 50 gallon Burnham* "stone lined" indirect heated tank + associated new plumbing and mixing valve. This should be good for our harder water here. The work was done in about 3.5 hours and was done very well and professionally- I think they had 10hr on the books for the quote!- so it was easily over booked as far as LE time. The Guys brought in the new tank removed the old tank and layed down floor covering where needed and cleaned up almost all areas very well and although the price of the job and tank was high from my point of view it was done well and when needed (scheduled Monday for a Friday Job)- before our guests arrived. Love Effron field service are always willing to go the extra mile for a customer- going out to get additional needed parts to finish the job right. I also pay for the annual oil burner maintenance program as well as getting all my oil deliveries from Love Effron (They deliver on their own schedule and I have never run out or had to call. recent delivery price 12-24 was 4.65/gal #2 Heating oil. *Love Effron is a dealer for Burnham The seemingly high costs for this provider have me seriously considering other vendors.

They installed a new furnace in the mid 2000's and a new water heater in 2008. We just changed service companies and learned that Petro never vacuumed out the furnace every year as they should have. Our tank was full of oil burned soot. The pipes were full of soot and they're should only have been a coating. Additionally, the nozzle that was installed was too large for the application. Lastly, when Petro was servicing the Furnace, one of the technicians claimed a piece had rusted and therefore broken off. This new technician with this new company indicated that it was never rusted, but simply broken off. I realize accidents happen, but tell me the truth at least. Petro also has this oil plan where you pay upfront for oil yet delivered so that your payments remain equal throughout the year. The only problem is that the "pot" of money they hold of yours is much more than is required. Hence they apparently collect interest on your money. I would never use this large company again and instead will stick to the smaller oil/service companies that go out of their way for your business. Petro does not care. There were several other smaller instances that have gotten me fed up over the years and I will never go back to using Petro.
