John had rebuilt my gutted out bathroom. We had an appointment for an estimate which he was prompt to the time we had set. He listened to my ideas of how and what I wanted and between his ideas and mine We collaborated on a layout which worked for me. He is well rounded in plumbing and tiling as well as the construction aspect. I was ecstatic with the outcome. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again and definitely recommend john.

John of John J. Carpentry designed, built and painted a new fireplace surround and mantle for me, removed and reinstalled a door to have it open out instead of in, put a new roof on my home and made a number of small repairs and improvements inside and outside. John is an expert craftsman. His work was clean and carefully done and he paid great attention to every detail. He is also an excellent communicator. He made sure he understood what I was looking for and that I understood what he planned to do. When there were choices to be made he always asked me my preference. It was a pleasure to work with John -- no disappointments, no surprises, no mess, no fuss. He was always cheerful, helpful and unfailingly trustworthy. He made accurate estimates, he was on the job when he said he would be, he cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day and his work was wonderful. I plan to hire him for my next remodeling job and I have recommended him without reservation to friends.

John J. Contracting did absolutely beautiful, excellent, detail-oriented work, consistently, and with a positive nature that immediately put us at ease. John is a master craftsman and at every step was committed to giving us exactly what we wanted despite the challenges served up by our 19th century Victorian. His attention to detail, creative thinking, knowledgeable input, and masterful execution made him an absolute joy to work with. He is unwaveringly devoted to his craft, and to the honor found in excellence. He is an artist at what he does. We have two small children and so our concerns about demolition/construction dust and debris were great. John was meticulous about containing any dust he was creating and leaving his workspace clear of dust, nails, etc. at the end of each day. He was an incredibly responsible and honorable worker, and he always had respect for the fact that his work place was our home. John carried us through the gut-renovation of our kitchen, the re-framing of doors, custom tile-work, the installation of a new pocket door and a number of other projects. His work was consistently excellent. We thanked him at the end of each day, and he always thanked us for our commitment to him and to his work. I would recommend him enthusiastically, and without reservation.

We hired Johnny from an ad on the local supermarket bulletin board.From the beginning we were impressed with his work. He showed up at 7AM ready to get going and continued that way all along, calling or emailing if he was going to be delayed because of car trouble or family matters. We aren't used to having people working for us who are more skilled than we are, after being do-it-yourselfers for ages, but with Johnny we could tell him what the job was and leave him alone, knowing the job would get done better than if we had done it!
