Dr. Energy Saver

Description of Work: After having a baseboard heater pipe burst and s*** water in a bedroom, I was very upset when the ice dams caused water leaks in another room. Dr. Energy came immediately and evaluated the problem. The workmen returned soon after and nailed a type of styrofoam board to the rafters that would catch future leaks and drip them out the soffitts and then they blew in insulation and wrapped the woodstove pipe in another kind of insulation. They also insulated the short wall that led to the attic space and blew some insulation in a space above the bathroom ceiling. Since we have not had the winter we had last year, I can't affirm this will all work, but I assume it will. My complaints are the high price (we did not get other estimates) and that the workers were a bit sloppy. All my clothes in a large walk-in closet were covered with insulation dust. I also had to ask for a "door" into the rafter space be insulated, something they should have known to do without me asking. I regret not discussing this with the company head rather than writing it out in public, but the winter repairs we suffered through had been long and exhausting. I feel that these problems would have been addressed if I had and if I had gotten other estimates perhaps I'd see that the price was the fair and going rate. I was able to finance the charge interest-free for 6 months.
