Eddie is the most understanding person I can imagine. We have had so many delays in the closing of our home that we have had to cancel and reschedule many times and he has been so understanding. We have used his services in the past and he always does a wonderful job with nice courteous workers. Finally next week we will get our new home done. Thank you Eddie for understanding.

the house was very dirty, as in years of grease in the kitchen soaked into the concrete floors and cabinets, the type of dirt that you don't really see until you start scrubbing and it seems to never end. Also they were cleaning up after a painting crew came in and sanded, taped, and painted the whole interior. They had a big team, worked very hard over a couple of days. My wife is possibly the cleanest person on the planet and she had a couple of extra requests when we moved in. They came back and re-cleaned a few areas to her standards of cleanliness, which is at a level that I can't even detect! Overall very satisfied with the job.

This isn't the first time I have hired Ed and his crew to clean my house. This was actually the 4th time and it will be the last time too. All the times I have hired them to clean my house, they have cleaned the windows, both inside and out. This last time around I had checked their work before I handed them my check for payment and I noticed that none of the windows had been cleaned, the ceiling fans were not cleaned, the mirror and the light fixtures in the bathroom upstairs were not cleaned, and the sliding glass doors in the living room were not cleaned. I brought this to Ed's attention and I was appalled by the way I was treated. First of all, how dare a company I hired to clean my house tell me that they are the ones 'doing me a favor' of cleaning. In actuality, I did them a favor. I hired them and payed them to do a job. Ed went on to say that they went the extra mile to clean the kitchen appliances. Seriously??? Did he think that I was gonna pay him more than $150 to dust, vacuum and mop?? I couldn't believe what he was telling me. And to top it off, they were scheduled to come to my house on a Friday morning and never showed up. So when I called to check on their ETA, the lady who answers their calls said 'oh we were just about to call you to let you know that we were not going to make it today.' Gee, thanks for the heads up after I drove 2 hours up from the city the night before. So again, how is it that Ed and his crew are doing me a favor??? I have hired them 4 different times and have paid them very well. But never again. Completely rude and unprofessional. I'm pretty sure I can find another company willing to do all the work I ask for. Also, Ed is a bit chatty. He needs to stop talking so much and just concentrate on doing his job.

Great. Company comes once a month to clean all common areas. Always happy with the people who come and the job they do.

It went well. Ed and his crew were professional. The home looked great. Cleaned everything from kitchen appliances to Bath. They removed all the dog hair from everywhere. (my dog sheds alot.)

terrible. they showed up hours early and left a note that they were there but I asked for them to come in eth evening because I would be at church at morning and unable to let them in. then I had to wait hours for them to show up after I called them even though they said they were 20 minutes away and would be there in a half hour. they barely cleaned anything, were very slow and not thorough. then they wanted to charge me to finish the job if they needed to go into a hour overtime. the house was clearly not cleaned so I figured they needed the additional time but still, after the additional hour the house (which was empty because it had not been moved into yet and just needed a cleaning before my stuff got moved into the house) was not clean. I was very disappointed and just wanted them to leave so I could finish the job myself.

I called Down To Earth Cleaning Services to request a full cleaning of my new house prior to our moving date. I spoke to the owner of the company and described the job to be done. I explained that we had a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom house that had just been completely painted on the inside. I told him that there was dust on the floors and on many of the surfaces as a result of the work, and the entire house needed to be cleaned. He told me that they could handle the job, and that he would be there, along with 2 of his employees, along with all of the supplies, including a special Hepa vacuum to deal with the dust. He quoted me a price of $250.00. This morning when the service arrived at my house, there were 2 people instead of the agreed-upon 3, and the owner was not among them. They took one look at the house and told us that this was not the job they agreed on, that there was far more dust than they were led to believe, that it would be far more expensive than we were quoted, and that they needed more special equipment that they did not have. They then simply left the house. I spoke to the owner who denied ever knowing about the post-construction dust, even though I had previously explained that the entire reason we were having the house cleaned was because of the mess left by the painters. He said if he would have known, he would have charged me far more, and would have sent more people. I am saddened and disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed here. I understand that this might have been a misunderstanding, but for them to simply leave the house less then 5 minutes after they arrived was entirely unacceptable.

Edward leveled with me that cat urine is nearly impossible to remove and that it wouldn't be worth the expense to attempt a professional cleaning on a linen sofa. He further instructed me that I could attempt to clean the furniture myself using white vinegar and a white towel in tiny increments over several days/weeks. In this way, he said, I'd save money and potentially get the sofa to a condition where I would find it passable - although he warned that on damp days, I'd still smell cat urine. I really appreciated his honesty, generosity with information, and straightforward demeanor. Based on this interaction, I would not hesitate to use Down to Earth's services in the future, should an occasion arise.
