Quality was inconsistent. There were times the wife and I were pleased and there were times she and I were p***** off. Part of that problem was due to the high rate of turn-over among his employees. No, it's not cool when you're constantly giving access to desreet parts of your home to what appears to always be a different kid or adult off the street. Lastly, some of those employees thought it was acceptable to socialize on their cell phones while cleaning. The work was not bad 100% of the time but when it was, that was sometimes the reason. If it only happened once, that's one time too many. The final straw came when I altered my schedule for them to work and they botched the appointment. I've gotta end this. Too many bad memories resurfacing. |

He was there two days and it went very well. They are very professional and personable. I have absolutely no complaints and have been very happy each time they came. I’ve just had them do rugs before, they were excellent.

I have been using Down to Earth for many years. I have used them to clean carpets (wall to wall and area rugs), house cleaning and upholstery cleaning. I will never call anyone else for these jobs, Down to Earth is the best!! I had used other companies in the past however none compare to Down to Earth. They have good prices and GREAT service!

I called him three times. Each time he told me that he was in a bad cell service area and that he would call me back. He never called back.

When I got the estimate, I wondered if it would be worth having a professional cleaning. Well, yes, it is! During the estimate meeting, I pointed out to Ed what I wanted done. He has a great memory since he didn't write down anything I was saying. I can say I am pleasantly surprised. Areas of my house that I didn't point out to him were cleaned, anyway. Areas of the house where I dare not tread were shining. I didn't point out to Ed the laundry area nor the boiler room, yet he and his crew cleaned those out. Bathrooms, cabinets, closets, carpeting, and window frames were all spotless. Most importantly, to me, was a refrigerator which had spillage and was growing mold (it had been turned off for six months). It was spotless and smelled clean. All in all, an A+ rating and I will be using them again.

I dealt with Ed the owner. He was very nice and gave me a good price for what turned out to be quite a lot of carpet. I was closing on a house and wanted the carpets done before we moved in and Ed was willing to change the appointment time to late in the day. They were punctual, did a great job, and are competitively priced. Definitely will use them again.

I based my selection of this contractor on the reviews that were posted for them on Angie's List. Contacting them was difficult. A family member is in the "office" and when I called the first time there was crying in the background and other noise and the woman said she would call back and never did. I left a message later and my call still was not returned. I chalked it up to a bad day (we all have them) and contacted the cell phone number I had. I got the owner/ Ed who set up a day and time with me. When no one arrived on the scheduled day, I called. First, the cell phone and left a voicemail message and then the "office". I got the young lady I had spoken to last time and she said that they had "left already but she would try and get a hold of them and call me back". When a half-hour and passed and still no word I called the cell again and this time Ed answered. He said they had an emergency and his daughter in law was supposed to have called me. I told him I had already spoken with her and she seemed to know nothing about this. He then said that she didn't like having to tell people private information. I told him that I really didn't need the details, just a phone call would have been enough.

Been using this service for years to do our carpet cleaning. Always done an EXCELLENT job. Now have added in housecleaning services. Very satifised with everything provided.

The business is family run and their communication and professionalism reflects their pride of service. The crew came on time and went right to work. The quality of service was outstanding. Definitely would recommend.

Be careful with this company. Based on all of the good reviews on here, I thought this was a no brainer to use this company for our house cleaning (we bought a new home and needed a thorough cleaning) and carpet cleaning. However, less than 24 hrs prior to the day they were supposed to come, they called to cancel. The reason I was given for the cancellation was that the owner's wife and daughter were in a bad car accident and being rushed to surgery (a lot of information to give a potential customer I would think) and possibly they would be cancelling on our appointment for the next day. Then, two hours later, I received another call that said there was no chance they were coming the following day. I am not saying that they lied, as I don't know if it is or is not true whether the owner's wife and daughter were in a car accident. however, what I do know, is this: (1) they did not offer to reschedule, not even a week or two later, but rather the assistant on the phone just cancelled and said there was nothing they could help me with, (2) on two prior occasions, I received messages/calls from the assistant saying that the owner was in the hospital or had a family emergency which is why he had not returned my calls (they have a lot of excuses at this company) and (3) this is a one man show and apparently business stops if something happens... so if you need something done on a time restraint, be careful about hiring them as if something happens to the owner, then you're not getting any service. I'm not trying to be insensitive if something awful did happen to the owner's family however, I want to put it out there that this company seems to have A LOT of emergencies and hospital visits and it doesn't seem honest (and I say this bc if it were honest then they would have at least offered to reschedule at a later date, even a few weeks later).

They were fine. They were prompt, got here on time, gave us good information and did a good job. Things are working well since they have been here. The price was reasonable.

Everything went smoothly. They arrived on time and went right to work. They moved all the furniture and set the furniture on small foam pods so the dampness from the carpet wouldn't ruin the furniture (very thoughtful). I would recommend and use them again.

We have hired him for continued work.

It went fine. The first time they charged $400 and then $150 every time after. Everything has all been good. They are friendly and courteous. The girls seem to know what they are doing better than the guys do.

Ed and his son arrived this morning as promised and took charge of my garage and basement. The garage was in desperate need of a full cleaning and tossing. While Ed worked in the garage, his son headed to the basement and vac'd the entire floor, ceiling and walls where cobwebs hang out. Ed took everything off the shelves and proceeded to wipe them down and then it was my turn to pick what was to be saved and what they would toss. Ed is one of the most organized people I have ever met and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The floor was swept, vac'd and cobwebs taken out. The shelves were reloaded and I was amazed at the space I had left. All this was done in just under two hours. I am just so very delighted. Ed is coming back shortly to take on the job of the indoor carpeting - I can't wait!! I will be telling people at work and my townhouse neighbors about this.....everyone should get this sort of professional, quality attention. Thanks again, Ed !!!

Everyone was pleasant on the phone but was not happy with the lack of follow through and false promises.

They did a wonderful job. My dad has been diagnosed with cancer; they had anti-bacterial clean and so forth for a sick room. They came in one day very quickly; they made room for us in their schedule and came in the same day. They were awesome and their demeanor was great.

They were thorough and they got everything. They were a real professional cleaning company. We had a lot of stuff soaked up in the house for a number of reasons and we really needed that major cleaning and now they are going to come by weekly. They had missed one area and they came back and fixed it. They provided very good service and I plan to stick with them. Our house is now shaped from top to bottom, not just cleaned but it is now dust free which is a severe allergy consideration for us.

A crew came in and were extremely thorough. They were very professional and hard working. I have absolutely no complaints and would use them again. Very highly recommended! My house is spotless!

We were absolutely delighted. My initial phone call for an appointment was responded to promptly by the company owner. The appointment was kept on time and he and his daughter visited our home, reviewed thoroughly with us what needed to be done, gave us an estimate, and communicated what we could expect. The day before the scheduled work was to be done, we received a phone call confirming the time we could expect them. The team arrived exactly on schedule. They did a thorough job from top to bottom - meeting the time schedule and estimate. The team is very capable, very professional, and they are very nice people. It gave us peace -of-mind to know that this is a family-owned and family-staffed business. My husband is not one to use flowery language but when he saw the work that had been done, he said: "I thought the house was pretty clean before. But now it actually sparkles." We've set up an ongoing relationship with Down to Earth for regular cleaning services.

Ed and Eddie arrived at the house and took a tour. I showed them what I'd like to have done, and they listened carefully. They performed the job better than expected, and were even helpful with future cleaning and painting recommendations. They completed the job quickly - I don't think they even took a break. I highly recommend!

Ed and his staff did a wonderful job. I would recommend using them. I wanted to surprise my wife with a total house cleaning when she came back from being away with our children. Ed came out gave an estimate, i was nervouse because of the price, however he over delivered on what he quoted. I am very happy, recommend him highly and most likely will be using his services on an on going basis for the routine cleaning.
