We could not have been more pleased. Mr. Burkum was very accommodating of our schedules, both in arranging to come out for an estimate and for the two days of work that resulted from our contract. He even changed our schedule to handle our job sooner than we had agreed upon because of the threatening nature of some of the damage to the massive willow that had been sustained in a storm. This damage essentially prevented us from using the deck or accessing the river safely because of the large dangling branches. Mr. Burkum and his team were always on time for both the start and finishing up of each task. They went well out of their way to be sure that we understood the options and lasting effects of each choice. The skill of the tree-climbing arborists was remarkable. They were safety-oriented and exacting in the precision of their work. The second task was the removal of two diseased trees, the minor pruning of a third, and the removal of the stumps of the diseased trees as well as the very large stump of a tree that was cut down by a different provider several years ago, but whose stump remained. For both tasks, Burkum's team was thorough in both their work and the cleanup that immediately followed. The finished products were a very clean area where the formerly diseased trees stood and an ancient willow tree that had a complete uplift and can now provide the promise of many more years of enjoyment of our riverfront property. We would highly recommend Burkum for both of these services.
Description of Work: Burkum removed several diseased or damaged trees. His team also did a thorough pruning of a massive willow tree that overhung the St. Lawrence River and a deck below the tree. His services included a careful assessment of the trees, discussion of options for removal or pruning and attempting to save each tree, and scheduling the service offered. The decisions were clearly drawn up in a contract, and performed in a timely, professional manner. Burkum's team was extremely careful to protect surrounding areas, was fully attentive to our desires for both tasks, and exceedingly professional in their methods. The chosen approach was pruning of a large willow on the bank of the St. Lawrence River by tree climber, and removal of debris. The second task was the removal of those trees that were beyond salvage, the service included cutting down the trees, removal of all debris, and a complete cleaning of the area. It also included a very thorough stump grinding.
