We are new homeowners and they were great. Really easy to work with and responsive to phone calls. Easy to get an appointment, very fair pricing. They did very good work, and were enjoyable to be around.

They were very good; I was pleased with them. He was lovely, pleasant and very nice. He assured me that he had trouble pushing the circuit breaker himself. They did the job and were gone in about 5 minutes; it was great.

Basically I liked them. It is a one man operation but he is punctual, nice, knows what he is doing, is competitive price wise, and he responds right away. I recommend them.

I recently bought a corded electric lawn mower, and discovered that power from one of the old outside electrical outlets was intermittent if the plug was jiggled. I thought it would be wise to change our house's two conventional outdoor outlets to Ground Fault Interrupter outlets as a safety precaution. We also wanted to replace a number of old 2-prong outlets to 3-prong outlets in various room of our 1940-vintage house. We requested an estimate from a franchised electrical company that is listed on Angie's List, and thought their price was much too high - about $614 after "discounts" were applied. We also called Salerno Electric, and got an estimate for less than 1/3 that amount - about $200! (However, at the time I requested Salerno's estimate I planned to convert only one outdoor outlet to a GFI) The actual bill was slightly higher than estimated, but that was because it included converting the second to a GFI, not just the one in the original estimate I requested. Salerno Electric is a local business that had done a small job in our house many years ago. I decided to have them do the job. Salerno's Dennis and technician Sergio arrived a few minutes early, assessed the job and double-checked whether they had all the parts they needed on their truck. Sergio did the actual installations. He worked quickly, neatly, without any problems, and with a friendly, helpful attitude. In one room, we had to move a heavy chest of drawers topped with a two stacks of heavy books to get to the wall outlet. When I went back into that room, I saw that he had moved the bureau and books back by himself. In an other room very light carpet, I asked Sergio to remove his work shoes before going in. He explained why he had to keep his rubber-soled shoes on as a safety practice, and he showed me that his shoes were indeed clean. The entire work, inside and outside, was completed in 1 hour and 20 minutes. From now on, Salerno will be my first call when I need electrical work in our house.
Description of Work: Salerno Electric replaced two existing outdoor electrical outlets, one of which worked only intermittently due to corrosion, with Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) outlets and weather resistant enclosures. They also replaced eight interior 2-prong outlets with 3-prong grounded outlets to accommodate modern 3-prong plugs and replaced the outlet plates.
