Safavieh

Ordered twice, area rugs from two allied catalog companies (whom I don't necessarily fault) -- after seeing the rugs in the catalogs and viewing the websites, and requesting carpet samples before placing the second order. The first time ($325), the carpet received was similar, but the design was not as delicate or varied, and had a really ugly green tint over the whole thing. The second order ($160) was the same problem, the colors were not as described, not the same as the sample, and, the carpet smelled as if it had been stored in some dank place for a long time. Because the catalog companies credited all the charges, I'm not mentioning their names, they fulfilled their guarantee policy, but I did write to them letting them know what I thought about Safavieh.
