Job was done well and quickly. Workman arrived promptly, completed job and behaved courteously, professionally.

Overall, this was a horrible experience. Rather than send the owner to quote the job, the owner (Jaimie) sent his electrician to quote the entire job. When the electrician arrived, he said the entire job would be done within 1 week, and it would cost approximately $1,200. I agreed. Two guys came to strip the wallpaper off the walls, and they noticed that the outer layer of the sheet rock was coming off as they stripped the wallpaper off in the first section. Rather than stop right there, the electrician had them continue to do this on all the walls in the bedroom, and all the walls in the bathroom as well. It looked awful. When I saw all the damage to the walls, the electrician told me "don't worry about all this, we'll just bring in a guy to skim coat the walls, I know someone who does a great job." I asked the electrician to call Jaimie (the owner) to look at the damage they had done, he refused to call the owner. I then called Jaimie myself, and he arrived to look a the damage. Sure enough, Jaimie admitted that his employees should have stopped peeling the wallpaper off immediately, because we could have just put up new sheet rock instead of working for 2 days stripping wallpaper off, only to put up new sheet rock anyway. I felt that Handyman Express should have covered the entire cost of these 2 wasted days, but Jaimie made me pay for half of this time (I still don't know why to this very day). Instead of a 1 week project, the project ended up taking over 2 weeks to complete, which forced my family to sleep in the basement for an extra week due to all the construction. Due to all the additional work, I also had to pay an extra $1,000 over budget to accomodate the time overages for Handyman Express, as well as additional materials. Many of these time delays and cost overuns could have been avoided had Jaimie went to the job site to quote the job himself, but he never showed up until the damage was done. When the job was complete, Jaimie promised me in person that he would be back to finish the floor moldings in the bedroom and retouch the paint job in the bedroom and bathroom, as the trim was not done well. Despite this promise to me in person and by phone, he has not returned to the job site in over 1 month, and he has stopped returning my voice mails. As a service provider, Jaimie and Handyman Express failed in several areas. 1. Cost ends up higher than quoted 2. Time ends up longer than quoted 3. Failure to deliver as promised 4. Unqualified people quoting jobs 5. No customer service - doesn't return phone calls I would not use their service ever again.

He came January 5th to fix a simple leak in the kitchen and bathroom. He said he needed some parts and would come back to finish the repair. He stopped the leak in the kitchen but needed a part for the faucet. It is now January 27th and I have not heard back from. I wrote him a check and he asked that I make the check out for cash and I did that. I received a copy of my canceled checks and it has been cashed. He was very pleasant when he was here, but I have not seen him since. If he is having a hard time getting the part, I would at least expect him to call me and tell me that.

The best part is he managed my expectations. I got a call when he couldn't come. Lots of back/forth with the phone but always pulled through on the day promised. Did his work well and knows a great deal about the details needed for home repair.

Quick reply to phone call, and fast estimate and completion of work that needed to be done.

Mark showed up at 9:00am as promised. He went right to work replacing the valve. When he was finished everything was neat and clean.He charged me less then the estimate he said it didn't take him as long as he thought. Don't think you can get better service then this. Larry Birsner, Williston Park

The job when well and I would use them again.

I called on Friday and left a message. I was called back within a few hours and told that the installer would call me. He called on Monday and an appointment was scheduled to install on Tuesday. Mark arrived exactly on time and the installation went perfectly. Very neat. P.S. The major appliance store I purchased the TV at wanted $300 to do the job.

Excellent. All very good. They were reliable and nice. They were prompt and professional. Nice people to work with.

He was very reasonable and did everything great. He was very professional, and he had really reasonable prices. I would recommend him to anyone.

Very pleased with the work performed. All ceiling lines came out straight despite most tiles needing to be cut. In addition, there wasn't much clearance in drop ceiling given the number of beams and pipes. Not only did his advice help save money on materials, but the job turned out great at a very reasonable price. I was worried this job would be a bit over my head and seeing the work that was done and the outcome, I'm glad I went with a professional. I would recommend Jamie's service for all jobs that you feel may be a bit too complicated to do yourself.

These guys are reliable, reasonable and very thorough. They can fix anything, they are a pleasure to work with and can be trusted to be there when they say they will, do what they say they will do, do it well, in a timely manner and be honest about what can and can't be fixed (versus being replaced). I will be using them over and over again.
