Anthony's World of Floors

Wow, just had my floors done by Anthony's Flooring and I'm totally blown away! Nichole was super cool – always there to answer my questions and super responsible. And Kumar? The guy's an artist with floors. He worked magic in my place. They were really flexible with scheduling too, which was a huge help. The job they did is just amazing – beyond words. My floors look so good now, it's like, wow! If you need flooring work, these are the guys to call. Top-notch service, top-notch job. Absolutely thrilled with how it all turned out.

Very well. Staff is very helpful, patient, and knowledgable about products and customers' needs which you won't get from a big box store. Clean-up is neat and they do installations on Saturdays which us great for working people. They have great ideas and suggestions and won't try to get customer to go over budget. No charge to go to your house for an estimate. I have used Anthony's Floors 5 times and have at least 3 neighbors who have used them. They go out of their way in customer service. They also have coupons from time to time.

This second-generation family-owned and operated company performed the installation like clockwork. They are real professionals. Any delays, which were entirely my fault, were absorbed into the game plan without any hassle. The demolition was performed in one day, the flooring was installed in one other day, and the trim molding was completed on a third day. I shopped around for several weeks, comparing companies and flooring products - both the price of installation and cost of materials were more than fair. I even got a discount by mentioning I found them on Angie's List. Considering the the time they invested in consultation before my purchase; and the speed of installation, quality of materials and courteous service, I would definitely consider my purchase a bargain. Without any reservation I do highly recommend Anthony's World of Floors.

Two workers arrived at the agreed-upon time. They removed and bundled up the old carpet before installing the new carpet. They acted in a professional manner and did a good job. Two years have passed, and I have had no problems. The carpet still looks good. The company charged a fair price for the carpet and the work they did, and I was able to use a coupon I had clipped for a promotion they were offering at the time. I would use them again.

They were very nice. It wasn't a problem. It's just that we decided not to do it. They were expensive. They were great. For responsiveness, they were excellent.

It took them a couple of hours. They were efficient, got the job done. They came in, saw what needed to be done, got it done and got out.

Bob arrived early and with his assistant, moved furniture, removed moldings and laid a beautiful floor. When the floor was installed, they put the moldings and furniture back, careful to place it to my liking.

Initial interview occurred in late February. Sales rep who came was knowledgeable, friendly and part of family business.Subsequent contacts by phone were hit and miss by us and the company sales rep in office. We finally agreed on price and explained that time was important as our daughter was getting married in mid May. We were promised that the work would be completed within one week. The workers who came were very polite, knew their work, but the time spent was hit and miss. iE: 4/15/2013- Monday 11-4pm; Tues- 11-3:30; Wed 10:45-4:00; Thurs 10:30-4:00pm; Fri 10-12pm. I had to call the office to find out why they were not at our home early as promised. The cell number for the coordinator worked the Sunday (4/14) when the schedule was initially set up. Calls afterward went to voicemail and I had to call the office to verify when they would come. I finally found out that they were short staffed and had to go to some other job nearby or leave early for the same reason. This process greatly inconvenienced our home as we were forced to use makeshift space in an other part of the house for about 10 days in all. They workers put up plastic sheeting, but the excess dust was ridiculous. I have since learned that the machines may not have been properly maintained as far as filters , etc. I cannot verify this however. The job was finally finished the following Monday, 4/22.

We first used Anthony's when we bought our house and needed some floor work done before we moved in. This was in summer of 2012. We received 3 estimates but found Anthony's to be the most professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and priced competitively (though not the lowest cost provider). They did the refinishing of the floors while we still lived in our apartment and while we were nervous about this, everything turned out well. After moving in, they came back to install a new floor in one of the bedrooms and replace the carpet on our stairway. They were flexible in terms of scheduling as we had to move some of the dates due the rescheduling of the house closing. Most recently, we used Anthony's in April of 2013 to install new vinyl flooring in our kitchen. They also helped us select the product given our budget and intended life span. It is true that one deals with several different people while arranging the job but I see this as a family business where everyone pitches in. I found that they keep good records of the schedule and the notes on the jobs so I did not find this to be an issue. Overall, they are professional, get the job done timely, and it turns out great! We plan to use them again for any future flooring needs.

Anne was very patient and helpful in picking something out being mindful of how much the insurance was allowing me as well as what would be most appropriate for the space and its future use. The measurement and installation were both perofrmed punctually and professionally. We have used Anthony's before and will continue to do so in the future as we have always had positive experiences with them and their staff.

We wanted to replace floors with vinyl tiles in kitchen, foyer and hallway. Anthony's staff were very professional and didn't give guesses about the price, but scheduled a visit to measure and check the condition of our floors. We got a written detailed estimate the next day which was called in and then faxed to us. The work was done in two days, interrupted by Hurricane Sandy, but everything was done efficiently, courteously and without any guessing or surprises. Everyone we worked with was courteous, friendly, and respectful of our property. We had gone to two other flooring places and they gave us prices that were not realistic, didn't account for variables like moldings, building subfloors, etc. While those quotes sounded initially less expensive, I knew they weren't complete. I prefer Anthony's straightforward approach, with no nonsense and no hidden surprises. The job was meticulously and beautifully done. I could not be happier, and if they weren't the cheapest (not sure if that was really the case), it was worth it not to encounter any headaches. It was a pleasure and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

They were very accommodating and kept things on time. The house was neat and clean after their work was done. For the most part they were very good. There were a couple of spots though where they must have burnt a little bit on the side of the floor which I wasn't pleased with. Their prices were pretty competitive.

The job turned out satisfactorily, but it took several phone calls to get in contact with them. There were a lot of communication issues because there were five different people involved in the project and they did not communicate to each other very well. The price was decent, the job was okay, but it took too much effort to get to that point.

We recently purchased an old house that had original beautiful hardwood floors that needed TLC. In one room, about 5% of the hardwood was missing, however replacing this was no small task as the mostly flooring had some hand inlaid walnut trim around the perimeter. In a second room, the hardwood was all there, but the previous owners had taken a shortcut and sanded and polyurethaned around a rug, leaving a rectangular section in the middle in bad shape and an outside area which was slightly higher with a heavy coat of wax - another challenge to correct. Anthony's sent an appraiser who was prompt and courteous. Anthony's subsequently brought in a hardwood flooring specialist (Jimmy) in, who separately came to the house to look over the rooms. There were some minor hiccups with Anthony's in that I had to chase them after the visits to see if they could do the job, when they could do the job, and the quote - and then again with scheduling (after calling twice to confirm the appt, I was called twice again to ask when I wanted to schedule; also they had scheduled appointments for two days, however the hardwood floor specialist indicated when he came the first day that he needed 3 days). Jimmy and his team completed the work in the promised three days. Moreover, I requested that he use a water-based polyurethane rather than oil-based as we have a 7-month old daughter and I didn't want her to be exposed to the extra fumes associated with the oil-based coating; Jimmy didn't hesitate to oblige - he said he'd be happy to do it. Jimmy did review the trade-offs (notably that it would be a lighter more natural color than the traditional golden tint the oil-base coating gives, which was fine with us), which we very much appreciated. With the work now complete, I can say Jimmy and his team faithfully reproduced by 5% of "missing" hardwood floor. They even tinted the new wood to make it match better the rest of the flooring and replaced a few additional boards that were in really bad shape. I am very happy that Anthony's arranged to have Jimmy and his team do this work - both rooms' floors look amazing now. I recommend Anthony's without hesitation (and in particular, Jimmy and his team) and look forward to using them again for other rooms.

Flooring was ordered from Lowes, that didn't go so well, they screwed up the order and we had it delivered and acclimating and just before it was installed we opened one box and it was the wrong floor. That was Lowe's mistake. Then we re-ordered and they forgot to call and tell us it was in. Then we did not get credited for the return. It was a mess. Finally the floor guys arrived. What a pleasure. They were fast and efficient. They did a beautiful job. They helped move a very large piece of furniture that could not be relocated, even though they don't usually do that. I was very picky and they were very cooperative with anything I asked of them. They did a beautiful job and I would highly recommend them again. It took one day and then a couple of hours to redo the moulding on another day.
