Too expensive and they want people to live in that house help him and charge a lot money for small project no good.

We were very happy with the work Steve did. Took about two hours and was very reasonably priced. Would definitely hire Steve again!

Learn from our mistake. Do not hire Steve Applebaum, the. LI Handy Hubby. Seven weeks ago Steve estimated $80-$100 to fix our hot tub leaks then charged us $252. He said the repair was more difficult than he thought. We found out, after running it, that it still leaked at his repair areas. So Steve lied and said he stood by his work and would fix it. He came back once and told us to spray it with flex seal. We did and it still leaks, we think because he used the wrong PVC pipes. We asked for a partial refund minus the cost of parts. No response. He still won’t respond to our calls and emails. Like many amateur hubbys who think they are handy, Steve guesses how to do repairs and it ends up costing you tons more cause of hubby’s mistakes. Now we know Steve is the type of guy who would ask relatives to write those positive reviews that had impressed us. We should have known the type of fraud he was by Steve’s business card slogan: “Size doesn’t matter.” Ugh. We are honest hard-working, trusting people and Steve made fools of us. Beware and don’t get schnookered by hiring LI Hubby. You’ve been warned. We gave Steve half a star rating only because he showed up. He really deserves all zeros.

While we were happy with the completed work, we really wish Steve was available more to do the work in the mornings instead of afternoons. It was hard to nail down times with him but to be fair, it also snowed 3 of the 6 weeks he was working on our staircase. His prices were quite reasonable compared to others we interviewed. He even offered a reduced fee when the work became more extensive and stretched into additional weeks.

Steve Applebaum did an outstanding job. Very personable and will hire him again.

Steve did not show up or call to do the job he said he would do.

Handy Hubby Steve repaired cement stairs and installed a new outside back door. He did an awesome job. Steve was always on time and made sure everything was done properly. His prices were very reasonable. Great personality. Very personable. I will definitely use him in the future for any other repairs I need done.

I had a handyman replace my sink and vanity in the bathroom of my home. He was very reliable. He took ownership and returned to fix a leaky faucet. He took care of the issue immediately. Fantastic customer service.

Steve put up a sliding screen door that I bought on line from Home Depot. He did a spectacular job. He knows how to read directions and when the door was completed in under 30 minutes it worked perfectly. He is a perfectionist and very neat workman. Hire him for any job that requires a skilled craftsman. He does superior work . When he was finished I asked him to complete another job I had been putting off; Removing and cleaning the down spout in front of my house; He did it and also took the time to add a leaf catcher so It wont have to be removed again. I am glad that Steve is a local business man . I look forward to recommending him to my neighbors and friends. I am sure they will be pleased with his work.

I called and happened to get Steve right away and since he was in the area he came right over. He examined the blind to determine if it could be fixed without a replacement piece and since it could he did the repairt quickly and efficiently. He was reasonable and very pleasant.

He came when he said he would and installed two ceiling fans, replaced two light switches, repaired my basement door, and installed two plant holder brackets in the ceiling. He was a pleasure to work with and I was extremely pleased with his work. His prices were very reasonable for all the work he did. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and I would hire him again.

As with any home project you run into a problem. Steve was very good at figuring out the best way to do the best job. His rates are reasonable and he is a pleasure to deal with.

I especially appreciated the fact that Steve called when he said he would call. He knows what he's doing, he's professional, pleasant, and he did a great job with 2 plumbing issues. His price is reasonable and fair. I recommend him highly.

I called Steve the Handy Hubby on a Thursday with a somewhat of an emergency. The entry deck to the side entance of my rental home had rotted wood and needed repair pretty quick for safety reasons. Steve came and looked at it the same day, gave me an excellent price and came back the next day to do the job. Couldn't ask for anything more. Great experience!

Steve is reliable and the level of his work is exceptional. He is a very competent and friendly man with whom it is a pleasure to do business.
