the process was effortless. Communication via Email extremely convenient. Price was great. They agreed to use shingles I had from original roof job and gave a reduced price for that.

Quick response to request for an estimate. After signing contract proposal, it took about a week for the job to begin. Finished roof in one day 7am 5 PM. Leaders and gutters the following day! Very professional and responsible workers. Clean up was perfect. Very satisfied!

I called them and the estimate was done quickly and easy to read all question were answered I actualy asked them to hold off on the job till the weather was better ( warmer) and they had no issue with that Job was done clean no debris was left around there was a follow up satisfiction call from the owner Mailed in my payment and that was it i need to add that about a month later i discovered that the roofers had put 2 nails into my central AC line When i contacted the roofer they put the blame on the AC installer ( the AC) was installed 4 years ago) and did not want to discuss any responsibility on their part. Sort of put a damper on the entire experience.

They were very good. We called them on Saturday and they came Tuesday. They were eight people and it took them one day to do the job. They work well with you. I don't have to bring a cashier check but only a personal check which was good.

It worked out very well. We were very pleased with them. We did get 3 other estimates and they came in at the best price. They also cleaned up great.

The estimator came out right on time, did a very matter of fact presentation of the options (no hard sell at all). The representative left the book of color options for the roof tiles. At exactly 7:30 am in the morning, the team of roofers came to the house, as agreed. They tarped the entire ground area and put plywood up to ensure there was no damage to windows during the roof tear off. Actually, during the work on the roof, several people were busy inspecting the grounds to make sure all nails, roofing tiles and debris were picked up. Excellent job! I would definitely use this business again.

Got an estimate for a simple gutter repair that was twice what others were quoting, so did not use. Competitor that did the job spent less than an hour and maybe $20 worth of materials easily available at Home Depot.

I wanted to be there for the extimate because I had questions and they said that was fine and stated they would call the day before they came. I received a call from them about 20 min before they showed up. The repair then turned into a replacement and the same situation happened the second time

It turned out very well. They were on time and did a good job.

Hurricane Sandy blew off much of the siding on one side of our house on Monday October 29, 2012. By the Friday of the same week the people from A-1 Siding had already delivered a repair estimate, By Monday November 12, 2012 they were at my house ready to install new siding. The completed the job that day. What made it even more remarkable is that they came work in spite of the severe gasoline shortages that were present at the time.

The representative was professional and the work was done on time to perfection. Have recommended this company to several people after Hurricane Sandy. Would use again if needed.

You don't need to call anyone other than A-1! From my first phone call to the replaced siding, A-1 was timely, prompt, honest, and my siding looks terrific! We lost a panel of siding after the hurricane. Rather than having to buy a full box of replacement siding, they went the extra mile and found one piece that was a near perfect match to our existing siding. They even provided an estimate and performed the service when we weren't home!!!! They are the best, truly!!!!

I had some roof damage from Sandy. Found A-1 on Angies List and gave them a call. John showed up the next day, provided me with a very competitive estimate for the work and we set a date to have the repairs done. The company showed up on time, completed the work in a timely manner and in a quality fashion, which was most appreciated since my job was relatively small and they were probably overwhelmed with bigger jobs from the storm. It was great to deal with a company that responded quickly, provided fair pricing and got the job done perfectly. If you need roofing done, these are the guys. They are insured and licensed so no worries there. Additionally, they are friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Overall they did a great job.

The job went well except when one of the workmen stepped on a rotten piece of plywood and put his foor through the ceiling below.John got me in touch with a painter he uses who would make the repairs. It took about 1 week for them to come, but that was due to their busy schedule after Sandy. The fella who came did a great job of repairing the hole (you can't even tell there was a repair made) and the next day came back and painted the entire ceiling - no charge for anything. Also, the guys who repaired my roof did a great job and I would use them again. Great work.

I cannot even explain to tell you how great this company is. Our whole experience started great and ended even better. We had called the company to give us a quote to replace our brand new roof that another company had done very poorly. They had come to give us a quote and later on my husband and I agreed to go with them since they were priced right and came highly recommended. The day of our scheduled appointment they came right on time. The whole crew was great. They came and set up all around my house for the removal of our roof. They had the roof off in no time and started putting on the new. While they were working on our roof they were letting us know the findings they came across that were not done right by code or just done poorly by the previous company. One of the workers was working on part of our new skylight that was not done correctly. Honestly he didn't have to do what he did because it wouldn't have affected the shingles but he made sure he fixed it so we wouldn't have any future problems. By mid afternoon they were all done. After they left you couldn't even tell they were here. They had the entire outside of my house cleaned up so good you couldn't even find a nail anywhere. My husband went onto the roof later on and he was very impressed how neat and solid everything looked. Thanks for giving us piece of mind everytime it rains or snows now. No more worrying about looking up at my ceilings to find new water spots/leaks everytime it rains outside.

As an avid Angie's list follower and believer in her choice of good quality company, I chose from her list " A 1 Roofing & Siding of LI". to come and repair my damage roof caused by hurricane Sandy. 24 hours later, a staff of the company showed at my door, to measure the roof and give me an estimate. Five minutes later, he presented me with an estimate of $7,500.00 and a booklet of material that will be used for my new roof. I was impressed with his presentation, till I started asking him some questions like when they can start the job, what is the square feet of my roof and if they are honoring the $100.00 coupon and the 10% discount for senior citizen as advertised. All of a sudden that nice individual look strait in my eyes and said, "Don't waist my time with questions, call the office if you need answers...and left" Fair enough I called the office to ask again about the senior discount. A gentleman by the name of TONY denied completely that they give any senior discount, even though I guided him to the location of the discount on his add. He brushed me off and told me that they are busy and the nearest time they can start the job will be by end of January 2013, two moth from today 12/1/2012. My conclusion, I do feel that "A 1 Roofing" are making false advertisement or they have lot of jobs that they do not need to stimulate their business. In both cases they proved to me that they are a dishonest Company that need to be removed from your honor roll.

I called them on Thursday, they came Friday and gave me an estimate and they did the work on Saturday!!! The guys were terrific!!

We called A-1 to schedule an estimate and they showed up the following morning. The estimator, Mr. Anthony (Tony) DiCostanzo , was a true professional. He inspected the entire damaged area, answered all of my questions and gave us a fair estimate. As a cost savings for us, he even recommended reusing our ridge vent that had come off during the hurricane because he found it to be undamaged. Two days after the estimate, the repair crew showed up. The team lead by "Mario" was very respectful and professional. The three person crew repaired the damage, replaced shingles and cleaned up the debris. We are very pleased with A-1's responsiveness and with their employees actions.

It was great from beginning to end. They worked quickly and efficiently and were responsive to our needs. They did a great job and completed the work in a timely manner. The roof looks great and we were very pleased with the work. My neighbors commented on how beautiful it looked. The choses of colors for the roof were plentiful. I would certainly recommend A-1 roofing anytime to anyone.

I did think his price was a little high but the service went well.

A-1 is perhaps the finest most professional home improvement company I've had the pleasure of working with, and I've worked with many over the years. Aside from being hardworking, organized, clean, on time, on schedule and courteous, they also were incredibly agreeable to special requests regarding the detail work as well as issues that arose after the estimate was completed. I consider all of the workers to be craftsmen and even artists, taking care, among other things, to do all the intricate aluminum capping around windows and doors with great precision and accuracy. Tony, Guillermo and Marco were remarkable in their skills with handling old-house-issues where, among other things, not a single window opening was either level nor plumb. I couldn't believe how little the inside surfaces were disturbed - they saved all the interior moulding and re-installed it all perfectly. Not a single one needed repainting. And Tony is a master with interior work - work he wasnt even required to do. It was clear to me that all those guys care more about doing a great job than going home on time. A-1 was not the lowest estimate we received but ultimately the work output was more than well worth the money spent. I would always use them, recommend them as highly as is possible. I can't imagine other companies in the same business, such as King Quality, Tri-State or any of the others in the area could do the work nearly as well for even a remotely similar price. I believe it's so incredibly hard to find a company like theirs who actually take pride in their work - not just work well enough to avoid customer complaints. This is the company to go with.
