I had to fire this company on the third day after they completely ruined my freshly stained deck. And, It looked like a third grader painted my house! It started with the power wash. There were still cobwebs, dirty windowsills and stains from birds nest. When I questioned this, I was told it was a preliminary power wash..what? After that, we never saw a washer. The " crew" was one person. He scraped the back of my house in one 5 hour day and then proceeded to paint ( no primer as in the contract ) and with the wrong product. There was no sanding or caulking. He painted in the rain, a predicted large storm in fact. ..I was home working and assumed on day 2 there was still much prep to be completed. Why would any professional paint in the rain? Of course paint was everywhere. We called the owner, Marty and texted photos of the uneven poorly painted shingles, and apparently, he instructed the painter to spackle everywhere. leaving my house polka dotted, over the already pained surface. And then there is the carpentry.. I showed Marty and the painter the carpentry that needed to be done..but when the carpenter came, he had no instructions at all and was missing half the materials. I own a box of shingles..that was most of the job. The carpenter worked for no more than 4 hours..I was charged for 8, plus $80 for delivery and disposal of materials.. really ? He brought three pieces of wood. My deck is ruined and now 2 professional painters have come to give me a quote. We are hearing things like: " I cant believe a professional painter could do that" . I am now fighting for my deposit.. I have never given a painter a deposit before.

Very well. Workers are very professional and work hard to get the job done. They power washed everything, fixed any issues and pained the entire outside of my house and shed.

The whole experience was terrible. Their pricing was deceivingly low. I have had to repaint all of my porches. They did not paint behind any of the shrubbery. There huge delays. Their crew could hardly communicate with me. The project manager was the owners son, who had just graduated college. The only way I could get them in touch with me was to call the BBB and file a complaint. When they had come out for a second time to do a two year maintenance, when painting the deck for a second time it looked worse then when they had originally painted it. They began to paint over the dirty deck, and I stopped them and told him he would have to clean the deck fist. They then proceeded to tell me that it would be an additional charge to have to clean the deck first. Since they had painted over the stain on the deck, I have had to replace wood rotted boards, and also repaint the pieces that needed replaced. I also have had to sand the deck down to the wood and re paint it.

the price was the best, but can not say the same about the work. Marty was prompt with the estimate and returning his calls. The work was delayed because they changed crews, it looks like they are subcontracting. The workers needed a lot of supervision every day - would have left bathroom ceiling and closets unpainted, and moldings not caulked, hardware left on the walls during painting - that type of thing. They were plastering and sanding without painters light and did not bring their own vacuum. They had to redo the cut by the ceiling 3 times and they used tape (?!) with run down pain underneath. Many areas of run down paint especially on moldings. Overall they were cooperating and office was trying to help to close the deal. I will need to hire someone else to correct a few bubbles that they left on the walls and figure out what to do with the doors which do not open/close well after painting and therefore pain is coming of the door jams after 2 weeks

Went just as planned -- estimate was performed within 24 hours of my first call, power washer showed up exactly when they said they would to prep the house and the painter showed up next day to sand, prime and paint. All of the workers and work was very professional -- they even painted the entire first coat by hand, following up with a second coat by machine. House looks great, couldn't be happier.

I was not satisfied with the job. I hired them to paint a large deck and two small balconies on the second floor of my house. It was cloudy the day they came, with rain in the forecast. I expressed concern over this. They painted anyway. It rained, the paint didn't have time to dry - it puddled and ran down the legs of the balcony. It was a mess. The paint then peeled off everywhere. I called more times than I can remember to have someone meet me to come out and discuss resolution. They seemed to show up whenever I was NOT home or not at all. They told me there was a 2 year warranty on their work at the outset so I expected they would make it right. . Each time I called they assured me of that point and said they would fix it. They asked me to be patient as they were either very busy/short of help or some other reason. I was patient. However, they continued to refer to the job as a touch up which concerned me because within months of the job being done the deck was unsightly and almost bare of paint. They did honor their warranty and come out but it was only after TWO years of phone calls asking for updates, meetings that never transpired and finally my request for a letter of explanation as to why they had not come back out so I could discuss next steps with my attorney. They would not send me a letter but instead I received a call from the owner assuring me they would be out the next week. Note he never did meet me face to face to discuss the original job OR to apologize for the fact that it peeled off and I had to wait two years for them to make it right. By the time they came the deck was almost entirely bare and parts of the wood had started to rot. This was a new construction- not an old deck. I can not recommend this business because I feel the job was unsatisfactory and the frustration it caused was not worth it. And it cost us extra money in the end to replace the rotted wood. The last straw was that they sent me an invoice for the re-do telling me that I owed them for the job. They sent it twice. The first time I figured it must be an error. The second time they sent it I called and left a message with their billing person. They have not returned my call. I gave them a D rather than an F only because they came to fix the job in the end - even though it took two years.

Not happy with service, but issue was rectified.

They were very good to work with. They were cleanly and were left very satisfied overall!

Their price was the most reasonable in comparison to anybody. They were not professional but were very willing to correct their mistakes. There was no quality. They were not excellent. There were a lot of things which they didn't charge me for. They were very reasonable; as I have had very expensive things done and they were terrible.

They did a very good job. I called the company, they got back to me in 5 minutes. They gave me a great estimate. They did excellent work. They were very professional and nice.

They did a neat job on the painting and they claimed I have a warranty on the paint job for cracking. The owner is very nice and was easy to get in touch with.

There were 2 painters 80% of the time. One was a seasoned painter and the second seemed to be a novice. Seasoned painter was very good and very accommodating. For the most part the paint job was very good. They did miss some spots. I'm not totally satisfied with the wallpaper stripping and painting of the batrooms. I believe this is where the novice spent most of his time. The painters were very friendly, courteous, and punctional. They were from Latin America and as a result did not speak english very well. This made it a little harder to communicate but we did OK.

Service unlimited sent a person to complete the job and he did an adequate job but missed some spots and did not remove all of the wallpaper. As soon as I called them about this they were very responsive and sent out another workman who responded to all of my concerns and fixed the painting so that it was as good as I could hope for.

I haven't done any of the work yet. The experience has been good so far.

I had a bee hive in my ceiling and the sheetrock was destroyed, Service cut new sheetrock, patched and painted, looks like new.

Marty was prompt, friendly, and professional, and brought a "brag book" of the many custom homes that Services Unlimited had done in the past. (My boss has just hired Services Unlimited to paint his large house in Weston, and HE was very impressed with the quality of the work. So his referral beared heavily on my decision to hire Services Unlimited.) The price was HALF that of a Fairfield County-based painting company, and the quality was EXCELLENT! The gentleman (Ziggy) who power-washed the house did a great job & avoided the air conditioners, which were still in the windows (because of the Indian Summer). The painter was supposed to have a helper, but they must have been short-handed that week--so he did the entire house by himself. It's a 1,900 sq. ft. raised ranch, so it's not VERY large. But I was impressed with the speed, dedication, attention to detail, and neatness of the painter. The paint job looks GREAT! We get a lot of compliments on it, and requests for referrals. While the "buttery yellow" is a stark comparison (and tremendous improvement) to the gray color the house USED to be, I only wish that I had asked Services Unlimited to paint a SECOND coat of yellow paint on the body of the house WHILE THEY WERE HERE! I don't suspect that it will be a problem...but it might help me delay the NEXT repainting an extra year. I was TREMENDOUSLY satisfied with Services Unlimited, and can not recommend them highly enough.

What a pleasure working with these guys! They were so professional, friendly, helpful and affordable! They did the work exactly when they said they would. They finished when they said they would. They came back to do touch ups. There was one doorway that started peeling and when they came out to look at it - they were horrified. The re-primed and painted it. They were so amazing. I highly recommend Service Unlimited for your job.

This company subcontracts its work to individuals. A Serbian fellow came and power washed the exterior. Not as thorough as I would like but decent... as it was done before I could remove the exterior screens on the windows. The painter and his assistant arrived and did a first class job in a much faster time than I thought. They were very neat and solicitous of feed back on their work. I asked for a few extra touch ups and they were more than happy to do them.

I liked this company a lot when I got the quote. The owner called me and discussed the job personally. But the work itself was rushed and not very good. Although the prep was largely done already, they didn't sand enough and so the painting didn't look smooth in many places. Pointing it out didn't result in a fix that was much different than the original. I actually have some bubbling in a place that will result in peeling, just weeks after the job. Also, I asked that my screens be replaced, and it wasn't done. I asked twice. This is a big job and I had to do it myself. Also, they got paint all over my screens, and when I asked that it be cleaned off, it wasn't done on most of the panels they marred. Also, I found the painters dumping painty water in my bushes. When I complained, they simply changed where they were dumping on my property!!! And I had to call them 2x to clean up. When they finally did, they left a filled bucket with a mess of brushes. The price was waaaay over what it was worth. I got a rush job but paid for something much more detailed. After company read the report, they came and fixed many of the problems. They spent a day and half removing paint from screens, re-sanding in places, and fitting my window screens. They said the project manager of my job was fired. The project manager they sent to oversee this job was very good. Use them with caution because employees vary.

Our house was built in 1955. It is a ranch house and in very good condition. The only problem that came up was that the painters didn't speak English. A crew chief turned up about twice a day. He was able to communicate with both me and the men but I think it would be helpful if someone were on site all day. I should emphasize, though, that the painters were always pleasant and polite, and worked very hard. I would certainly hire this company again.

Manager gave professional quote then delegated work to off-site project manager. Business e-mail contact was very responsive. Actual on-site crew was prompt, friendly, reliable and actually worked with little supervision on our part. Some confusion because on-site manager not entirely fluent in English and off-site project manager was only available by phone (but available). Crew/management very accommodating when some misunderstandings occurred (certain areas painted undesired color but had not originally been outlined on paper - management had areas repainted. Certain areas were not sanded as well as others and crew resanded. Work details completed. Mostly cleaned up but a small amount of paint scrapings were not hauled as expected. Paint priced as estimated but carpentry was estimated by hour and turned out higher than expected. I do enjoy driving up to my nicely painted house each day.

THEY WERE CONSUMER FRIENDLY. THEY TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK. THEY ARE GREAT PAINTERS AND ARE FANTASTIC. THEY HANG WALLPAPER, TOO.

IT WAS ALL VERY GOOD. THEY WERE REASONABLE. THEY WERE EXACTLY ON TIME. THEY DIDN'T GO OVER THE ESTIMATE. IN TERMS OF COST THEY WERE PERFECT AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY STARTED IT EXACTLY WHEN THEY SAID THEY COULD. THE PAINT LOOKS GREAT AND WHEN IT STARTS TO PEEL AGAIN, HOPEFULLY NOT SOON, I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY WERE VERY QUIET. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE JOB, BUT THEY WERE EXTREMELY QUIET. I DON'T USUALLY COMMENT ON THAT, BUT IT STOOD OUT TO ME. THE QUALITY WAS GOOD. THEY CLEANED UP.
