Very good job. Helped select color, and they were very professional.

Since I had to go to work on most of the days, any questions that I had, Pam in the office was able to contact Jay promptly and return my call within minutes and was very pleasant. I was very satisfied with the whole operation. I certainly would recommend Jay and his crew as most professional. Extra price for additional woodworking was fair.

Very punctual and professional every day. They worked long hours to get the job done. We made sure the painters were taken care of to make the job easier for them. It seemed as though they became sloppy as time went by. At the beginning of the job, they removed switch plates from the walls before painting and did an excellent job. The rooms which were finished near the end were not as professional and the switch plates were never removed, so when we replaced the switch plates, we had to touch up the walls. In one room in particular, we asked for one coat of paint. When we came home, we noticed you could still see spots through the new paint, where the old spackle had been. I had to call and request another coat. I think they should have called me and made recommendations as they are the experts.

House is stucco and is 30 years old. Had numerous cracks in walls and chimneys due to a major construction project next door. J & S did a superb job in repairing all cracks and repainted the house to our exacting standards. They were extremely cooperative and professional in everything that they did from providing the initial estimate through to completion. The crew was on time every day and their work was neat with a complete clean up every day. We have extensive plantings around the house and they were very careful with no paint spilled or damage to plantings. I highly recommend their work and I am planning on using them again in the Fall for some interior work.

The paint job looks excellent throughout the apartment. They communicate well. The project had no delays or cost overruns. Clean-up was flawless.

This was my first experience using a company I found on Angie's List and I couldn't be more pleased! I received an initial call from J&S within 10 minutes of e-mailing them for an estimate. Jay came to my house the next day (he even called to say he would be 15 minutes late. What contractor does that?), and had an estimate ready for me very quickly. This is a first class operation with service contracts that spell out exactly what the job will entail. Their prices were very reasonable and they were very responsive to my many questions. The workers left their equipment neatly stacked at the end of each day. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again!

Jay (owner) showed up promptly and left a written estimate. That estimate was followed by a typed estimate and phone calls. The company was persistent, not intrusive, with follow up. Scheduling was easy; they started 2 days after we engaged them. They asked to work on Saturdays and they were extremely polite and respectful of our schedules, property and time. The worksite was cleaned with equipment organized daily. Jose (crew chief) was easy to work with. When we were not happy with the first coat of trim, he mixed up several versions of color doing samples on the windows until we found one we liked. They were mindful of details such as taking down and putting back up our brass house numbers. They even washed all the windows after removing paint splatters. The entire job, even with rainy days, took less than two weeks. Payment was made conveniently on credit card. The office staff was congenial on the phone contacting us at the beginning and middle of the job.

Did well, but not an exceptional, overall. Competitive, but slightly higher than others, bid. Did the estimate right on the spot -- a plus. Had some good ideas for the job. More communicative than others who came to do an estimate. Delayed the project twice by a few days -- not a problem for us but someone left a phone message accusing us, incorrectly, of delaying the project. Completed the work in 2 days. Excellent paint job. Not great on the clean up. Had dust everywhere and several paint splatters on the floor, including paint clearly spread to a rug by a shoe.

EXCELLENT! This company is great. Most professional painters I have dealt with. They began the job a week earlier than scheduled because I needed them to finish right on time despite some weather delays. Quality workmanship. Jay is thorough in getting the scope of the job as the client wants it performed and the work is always done just that way. His painters are polite and respectful. They always do an excellent job cleaning up the job site for the day and finishing cleanup once the job is complete. They work hard to make you happy. I just moved into my home and accidentally seriously damaged the ceiling of my freshly painted house, putting a huge hole in the sheetrock. Exposed fiberglass insulation made repair an emergency. Jay was able to accommodate me within 24 hours providing his best painter to us. It was fixed "lickity split" Service is the key with this firm and have never failed me over 4 large projects and my emergency repair. Also, Pam in the office is great to work with.

Overall they did a good job. They started and finished the work pretty quickly, were clean, and the paint job looks very neat. Dealing with the company representatives, they seemed professional.
