These guys are amazing! Jay, the owner, came by to give us the estimate and walked me through the whole exterior of the house. He pointed out things that no one else had shown us from the other estimates we received and was very detailed. He helped us with selecting the colors and was very pleasant to work with - he answered any and all questions and even came back right away when we asked for a little extra work to be done that we had not discussed originally. The crew was prompt and professional and did an amazing job! Our house looks beautiful and we love it! I will definitely use them again and recommend them highly. We are very satisfied customers.

This was without question the most professional company I have worked with in a long time. We did a major renovation 10 years ago and it was time for repainting and other miscellaneous repair of the exterior, and a few items in the interior. Sheki arrived and immediately I realized I was dealing with someone who was genuine and ready to listen. It was obvious that the prior people we had did not do an adequate job, but he never remarked on that but rather focused on how to fix it. He brought a team over, led by Jose - who took over the job and spoke with me regularly and in detail about options, suggestions, reasons for why he recommended specific options, and generally communicated very well with me. I mentioned that I was having a dinner party on a specific date and asked if that would be an issue for them since one area was adjacent to our dining room. Sheki explained that they would be sure to have that area done or clearly cordoned off. In fact, I was totally surprised when they actually finished the entire project on the day of the party! I couldn't have planned it better! The costs are reasonable for the work and the quality of that work, and the attention to detail is worth every penny. We know that we will have Skeki and Jose and his team back this winter for more interior work and they are now our "go-to" painters! Hire them and you won't go wrong. Dr. Marshall

The previous owners of our house had done a quick-and-dirty exterior paint job right before putting on the market. Months after moving in the paint began to flake off in huge chunks all over the house. J&S came and first removed all the flaking paint, then primed and painted the whole house. After, they cleaned up all the paint chips around the house and in the gutters. They were fast, clean, polite, and professional. I highly recommend them.

Once again, we hired Sheki at J&S Painting to paint and repair the walls in our downstairs finished basement and they did a fantastic job. We requested Edgar and his team (the painters who previously painted the rest of our house) and the finished works was just amazing. They are timely, efficient and so clean when they work, it’s just incredible. They covered all of my furniture, removed all the fixtures I wanted replaced and vacuumed the entire area when the work was completed. They also removed two enormous wall mirrors left by the previous owners and replaced damaged wall trimming borders so perfectly, you would think it was a brand new wall. Sheki and his team are my first call when I need any painting done in my home. I highly recommend them to anyone!

Jay and his team did a great job! We had a little delay with drying of compound, and they handled a change in color, but Jay's team was able to address the issue and finish the job with our complete satisfaction. I highly recommend them.

Jay and his team are the perfect example of the meaning behind the phrase ?you get what you pay for.? J&S was among 4 contractors I had bidding for the job of painting our house in White Plains. Jay, the owner, encouraged me to shop around, and gave me advice about what to look for from each of the different estimates. He explained why he felt his approach would result in the best and longest lasting paint job and why it might in fact cost a bit more. He was honest about his expenses and worked with me to come to an estimate that was a little more comparable to the others without forgoing quality. I ended up going with him even though I technically could have ?saved? several hundred dollars by choosing someone else. In the end, however, I?m very glad I went with J&S. Jay was intimately involved with the project from start to finish, checking on the progress at predetermined points, walking with me around the house to point out relevant issues like rotted trim or broken shingles. Communication from J&S always very professional, with email confirmations of appointment times and updated invoices being provided regularly. We paid in installments at certain checkpoints, only after reviewing progress with Jay. When I noticed that a vent pipe had become stained after painting was completed, he sent one of his workers right back over to repaint it at no additional charge. In the end, the house looks fantastic, and we received many compliments from friends, neighbors, and guests. After our experience with the house painting, we decided to award J&S the job of staining our rear deck as well. Once again, Jay proved how committed he was to achieving a quality outcome and a happy customer. This turned out to be a very difficult job because of the weather we experienced this past summer?many days of extreme heat and humidity coupled with periods of heavy thunderstorms that soaked the deck and prevented his team from working on it for many days. Jay?s team worked diligently to get the project finished in time for a huge annual family gathering we were having in July. However, upon inspecting it, I noticed that while the railings looked great all around, they missed a few patches between the floorboards in their haste to get it done. Jay came right over to see for himself, and agreed with my assessment. Within a few days, he sent his men back to touch up the bare spots. Unfortunately, a few days later it became clear that this resulted in a ?striping? effect, where some portions of the floorboards now had 2 distinct coats of stain while the rest had only 1, making the deck look even worse. I expressed my disappointment with the results, and Jay assured me he would not consider this job finished until he was confident we were happy. Later in the summer, when the weather cleared, Jay had his team came back and strip the deck all the way down to bare wood again, and they re-stained all of the floor boards. All at no extra cost. I?m sure this is not the way Jay wanted this job to go and he may have even lost money in the end, but he was determined to get it right and make sure we were satisfied. Jay is a warm, kind-hearted man with tremendous integrity and I would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone looking for thoroughly professional, high-quality painting services.

From the first day I met Sheki Bajramovic for my estimate and although he was my very first appointment that day, I was certain he would be the one we would hire. As irrelevant as this may seem to some, there was something about his nature that was very trusting and honest. Sheki greeted me with a warm smile; he was punctual and even provided me with a folder to keep that included licenses, certificates, references, etc. for my reference. Sheki was also very accommodating when I offered him booties to wear as we do not wear footwear indoors in our home. He was meticulous during his walk-though and offered great suggestions to improve the appearance of our home. Once he was done reviewing the space and jotting down notes, he instantly provided an estimate that was emailed by his office within 30 minutes of his departure. Personally, all these little details go a long way for me and to top things off, the estimate price was the most reasonable and affordable one received. Sheki and his team of 3 arrived on time on the scheduled start date with all their materials to prepare the home for painting. Sheki provided the foreman (Edgar) with a guided tour and instructed him as per our discussions. Edgar and his team covered my floors, plastered and sanded uneven surfaces, protected my furniture, and removed all the necessary fixtures before they began to paint. They were incredibly diligent and so unobtrusive while they worked, that we didn?t feel disturbed by the typical chaos that accompanies a painting project. They completed the job in 4 days (Wednesday through Saturday), 3 days earlier than expected and their work was perfect! We work in the city full-time, so most of the time they were home alone and it was such a relief to know that our home was in good hands. J&S Painting Plus will be our first call whenever we have a painting project in the works. We would without reservation recommend their services to anyone!

From the start, Jay Gisoni personally made the daunting task of painting the entire interior of our new house a very smooth process. He took extensive notes regarding our expectations for each room and, more importantly, clearly communicated that to his team lead, Mauricio, who made sure that these expectations were fully executed. We couldn't be happier with the results! Jay's estimate beat the competition (we got two additional quotes from highly-rated painting contractors on Angie's List) by 20% and 50% respectively, resulting in a very significant savings. More importantly, the quality of the work was top notch. Even when we noticed areas that needed touch-ups well after the fact, Jay was quick to respond and happily take care of the issues. We have yet to paint the exterior of our house, but when we do, Jay definitely will be the first person we call. Very happy we went with J & S -- you will be, too!

So yesterday was my birthday and no one could stop talk about the paint job on the exterior of my house! I called a few contractors on Angies List before settling on J & S Painting. I previously had a terrible experience with a painter. He was the typical no show contractor. Better yet one day he couldn't paint because he said the sun was in his eyes. Anyway I was a little (very) anxious to hire anyone...So I called J & S. They had good reviews. I didn't know what to expect. The previous painters I called paled in comparison to J & S. Jay came to my house with a professional attitude a he had all his insurance information, his licensure, everything to show me he was a legitimate professional business ready and willing to be of service to me and my partner. Jay was patient and walked me through the entire process of what was going to happen when they painted my house. He answered all of my questions and even educated me on what and why he chose the type of paint he used. We felt like we had a service professional that really cared about his clients and for us that was important. Now for the work. Jay and his crew were careful and quality conscious but when Jay came through to check the progress he had them fix things I would not have seen. We even put little PLEXI glass bumpers to protect the newly painted doors from the doggie paws. His guys were open and we could ask them questions as well. We found a couple area we wanted to touch up later after they had finished and Jay sent the guys back out to touch the spots up. I told Jay that the best part of my house was the porch swing and they took special care of it. It looks brand new. They power washed it and stained it. My house is awesome now. They did quality work and well worth the price. I will not hesitate to call them again for any painting I need done. Jay came out to provide an estimate. I also received estimates from other companies. J&S was not the cheapest, but they were reasonable and the level of service and the care with which they seemed to run their business made me choose them. They prepared a contract for my signature and even included language that I requested. They were transparent in their dealings, forthcoming and generous with their expertise and recommendations, and fair. Upon contract signing, the work began in earnest. The crew showed up when they were supposed to and they were unobtrusive, quiet, careful, and courteous. They were also good at their job. They cleaned up after each day of work and kept us abreast of progress and timing. It was all done in the allotted time with no drama. It's been one of the least obtrusive projects we've done. We received a lot of positive feedback from friends and neighbors on the paint job. I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to see how the work would hold up and how they would respond to any issue that was covered by their warranty. This year I called and let them know that a few issues had come up that I would like them to address (a couple of touch-ups, some paint not properly adhering, that kind of thing). They came back to do a walk-though with me and wrote everything down, then scheduled the same crew to come back and address those issues. The crew came when they were supposed to and handled everything with the same quality, care, and dedication as before. The company kept me abreast of schedules and was upfront about everything (for example, when something had to wait a few days for the wood to dry) and they finished a few days ago. Jay called me this morning himself to ensure that everything was taken care of to our satisfaction (it was) and that there was nothing left for them to address (there wasn't). It was a very good experience overall. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again without hesitation.

The project went great! The team was able to paint all 3 bedrooms in 1 day. They provided me a quote on Thursday and completed the work that following Tuesday. Inital quote was a bit high but I was able to get a great rate and the team was able to work almost immediately. Really appreciate Jay's teams help on this and getting me moved in on time.

This was our second time using the company. Everything went great. Job was started sooner than we hoped and everything was completed to a high standard. Would continue to use Jay and his company, no question.

They performed the work with no issues whatsoever. Their price was almost exactly the same as 2 other bids that I received, however J&S were able to get our job scheduled much sooner than the other painting companies. They did a great job, our house looks great. We need some interior painting done and I plan on using them, without question.

They did an amazing job from start to finish, and in a relatively short time despite a few days of bad weather. Our home looks beautiful. Cleanup was also perfect. J & S Painting Plus is a very professionally run company. The manager Sheki visited with us several times to make sure we were pleased with the work and to oversee the progress. I've used J&S in the past for exterior paint jobs, but this was the first time I've used them for the interior. I was very pleased with the service. Paint job looks terrific, and the painters were courteous and professional. Follow-up questions (to Jay, Sheki and Pam) were addressed quickly and satisfactorily. Based on an Angie's List recommendation, we called J&S Painting Plus for an estimate to stain our home this past Spring. J&S' estimate was very professionally presented, together with a long list of references, unlike the first estimate we received for a higher price. We didn't have to ask for references, and discovered we knew two of the references and called them. J&S did everything they said they would. Repaired rotted boards and stained the house. The crew was wonderful....hard working, polite and conscientious. Additionally, the fellow who provided the estimate, Jay, stopped by to make sure the job was being carried out to our satisfaction. Just last month (November), we hired J&S again to repair some interior damage caused by a leaking roof. Again, the two fellows who handled the repairs/painting were excellent. Once again, Jay stopped by and stayed in contact. The next interior project is planned for Spring 2015 and, of course, we will hire J&S. We highly recommend J&S; it's a pleasure to work with a dependable, professional team of people.

We were truly impressed by this company- they were reliable, the quality of their work was impeccable, and the price was reasonable. They also managed to complete the work in 3 weeks, which was not an easy feat given the scope of the project. We were particularly pleased with the skim coating, given the original state of the walls and the ceilings.

Jay was great to work with. His crew did an excellent job and they paid attention to all the details. Jay was at our house several times during the whole time checking on things and making sure everything was good.
