Jay gave us excellent advise on what needed to be painted to prepare the house for sale, as well as recommendations on colors that would be attractive to potential buyers. He and his team did beautiful work and finished in 3 days. This is the second time that we have used J&S Painting Plus. They painted the entire exterior of our house approx. three years ago and the work has held up exceptionally well. We highly recommend them.

The project went great. We used Jay and his crew yet again, third time, and like always it was a job well done. Jay was quick and responsive to come by and give us a quote. His team executed the job on time and it everything turned out great. He couldn't come more highly recommended and we look forward to the next time we need something painted!

This is the second time we've hired Jay and J&S Painting Plus. Just like the first time Jay and his team were professional, on time, on budget, and did a great job. The team scraped off all the old paint, repaired a few damaged trim sections, and put on the new coats leaving us with a fresh trimmed house just in time for winter. As an added bonus all the windows were hand washed from the outside, something we had never done on the second floor, and it really freshened them up. We were really happy Jay brought this up and included it in the trim painting project. It was a really nice value add something we hadn't even thought of.

J&S Painting Plus is the best painting company in the area. Trust me, I've used a lot of them. They are extremely professional, courteous and respect of your home and schedule. Their painters always take such great care to do the best job and if there are any issues they drop everything to fix it right away. I highly recommend this company and will definitely hire them for future projects.

It was excellent. The rooms were in worn condition, there was a lot of trim, patching, and many many casement windows. Jay came ahead of time to give an estimate. He is a lovely man. He set the date, and brought a crew of 4 men. They had this big job done beautifully in 3-4 days. The men were very nice and easy to have around. They cleaned up and left the house in good condition.. I would hire this team again for large painting jobs that require attention to detail and that I want done correctly. They were terrific.

Jay, was extremely responsive, professional and communicative! We had a large job and Jay guided us the entire way! We will certainly hire J&S again. They stand by their work. We will use them for interior painting as well. Thank you J&S we look forward to working with you again!

We were thrilled with the quality of work from Jay and his team. He was always available to us if we had any questions (or last minute paint changes!) and his crew was professional and quick. We had quite a bit of holes in our walls from the previous owners, and the team took incredible care to patch these up for us. The result was beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for. Cannot recommend J&S highly enough, and will definitely look to them in the future for all of our painting needs.

Jay came over to price the job. He was pleasant and we decided to go with him. He promised to complete the job in one day which was important for us and was one of the main reasons we decided to go with him. Unfortunately, it carried on into the next day. The quality of the work was mediocre at best. The workers left a mess of dust and paint speckles all over our hardwood floors that I am still cleaning up?.. I was on hands and knees scraping paint speckles for hours. But what really annoyed me was that when I was up on a ladder cleaning the light fixture I noticed that the top edge of all window and door trim was not painted. I guess you don?t need to paint that right?cause you can?t see it from standing on the floor. Also, the back edge of the doors, where the hinges are, was left unpainted until I pointed that out as well. They tried to cut corners, not something I would have expected from ?professional? painters. There are still areas where I can see remains of the old paint color. Jay offered to come back out to fix it, but this all left a very bad taste in my mouth. The job should have been done right the first time and I shouldn?t have to babysit his workers and tell them the right way to do their job. At this point I will make the fixes myself. I really wanted to like their work so I could use them again, but I can?t see that ever happening.

From the estimate to the final cleanup Jay and his crew were consumate professionals. They did everything that we asked cheerfully and promptly. The crew was quiet and punctual, and they are truly skilled painters. I was especially impressed with the thoroughness of the prep work. It's probably not possible to make a 60+ year old house look new, but their work came as close as possible. I am especially greatful to Jay for his thoughtful advice (e.g. use paint rather than stain on the cedar shingles) and for patiently answering all our questions. The interior of our house will need painting in the next couple of years, and J & S will be my first call.

They did a fantastic job! The workmen were very professional providing the best paint job I have ever had in any house. They were hard working, courteous, quiet and had a fantastic eye for detail. They weren't the lowest bid but job was worth every penny paid.

The team, Luis and Eddy, were excellent: careful, respectful and professional. They even finished one day ahead of schedule. We recommend them without hesitation.

A diamond in the rough! We've had a terrible time finding contractors, handymen or home service professionals who respond to emails, return phone calls, type up detailed estimates, communicate clearly important information and overall do a good job (with attention to detail). After meeting with Jay we didn't need to meet with anyone else. He is well spoken, on time, (was sweet with our 18 month old) and provided us with a beautiful folder (thank you!) complete with letter, packet of addresses of houses they've painted, reference contact numbers for precious customers, licensing information as well as our personalized estimate and contract. At first we needed and estimate for budgeting purposes (in the early spring) and when we communicated that we'd be in touch once we'd saved up some money, Jay and his office contacted us twice with promotions and enticing offers. When we were finally ready in the early fall, Jay visited again and they were able to fit us in with an opening the very next week! Jay and I walked the property again and we went over every detail, which trim to paint which color, deck staining, options for replacing outdated light fixtures, and I was able to point out that we have older windows and areas to be careful when power washing. We opted for Jay's crew to replace an area of rotted wood which they did beautifully. He left us with three Benjamin Moore color wheels which we studied each night, haha. Our crew, Mauricio and David (and one other painter who I didn't get his name who helped one day) were fantastic. They worked tirelessly for 12 days, up and down ladders, washing, sanding, prepping, caulking, priming, painting, cleaning. It was amazing. Mauricio and Jay were patient with me as we went through a total of FIFTEEN color samples (a little embarrassing but we had to find the right shade! You'd be AMAZED at how different colors can look once they're on a house - we HIGHLY recommend testing colors until you find the right one, don't settle, it's worth it!) They work Monday - Saturday and Mauricio even came one Sunday to stain our deck because it was supposed to rain the next day! The work itself is flawless. Every line is crisp and sharp. Every gap filled. Every request met happily. Jay was involved and helpful throughout the entire process; stopping by, checking in, communicating details that we had discussed with his crew. We went from a fading barn red (trim and all! *see before photo*) house to an inky blue with white trim. They painted our brickwork white and finished the deck in a natural translucent stain which came out fantastic considering the age of the wood. Advice: With a project this large and detailed, you want not only to have excellent work done, but you expect and hope that the people you are working with are pleasant, professional and all around nice people to work with. These are your guys. From Pam in the office, to Jay to Mauricio and David, we couldn't be happier with the work AND the experience. We wholeheartedly recommend J&S to you and wish you the best of luck with your project!

It went very well. Jay was professional and well organized about the job. He and his workers came to our office on time on a Saturday, and they did a wonderful job.

J&S did a great job painting the house and was very easy to work with. They handled moving all the furniture which helped to speed up the entire process. I would highly recommend them to others.

The company is overall extremely responsive, available, and true to their word. Jay did the initial walk through and each day thereafter at the start of the project. Great and honest guy. I had some concerns of how the external patch and paint job was going but I voiced my questions and concerns as soon as I had a chance. It happened to be at 9pm via email on a Friday. First thing Saturday morning Jay made sure I was satisfied with the plan. The painter was a little messy, but I'm sure if I expressed that, it would have been immediately addressed. So I own that. If you expect the painter to be as meticulous with cleaning up as he was with painting, then bring it up at the start of the project. I'd use them again.

Jay's crew painted my house about 2 years ago. I was was walking around the house this morning and noticed that it looked like it was just painted. Everything is holding up beautifully. Jay is a great guy, fair, honest and straightforward. I have tried a few other painters who came highly recommended for a few interior jobs but I was not totally satisfied with them.

The owner Jay provided an estimate. Jay and his crew began soon after, the house was prepped, and painted in a timely manner. Rotted areas of wood were replaced and the final result is very good. I especially appreciated that questions and calls were handled immediately and very professionally.

AMAZING..... first, Jay and his team were amazing. His office manager called my minutes after my AL request for an estimate and she kept us in the loop the entire time. Pam, you are a rock star. When Jay (owner) arrived he was very thorough about what was needed, how'd they do it and did a complete inspection of the areas. The team arrived early each day (during some really bad heat) and stayed late to finish. They did a great job sanding, scraping and prepping. The house is 90+ years old and that took some serious elbow grease....... all in all we are VERY happy and will have them back in the winter to do some inside painting as well.

My only concern is that the work took longer than was promised. The last week was especially tough as the promise of finishing up on that Monday turned to the workers wrapping up and leaving at 7:30pm on Thursday. The house looks lovely and we're happy with the results but I would have preferred to get the "under promise / over deliver" treatment. The initial time estimate was 2 weeks. I get that it's an estimate. But had we been quoted 3 weeks and J&S finished in under that time it would have been less stressful. But overall the results were are truly fantastic.

It was a pleasure working with Jay and his team. Jay is an old pro and he “just gets it”. He’s a straight shooter and he does what he says– no snow job with him. My wife and I are both busy professionals balancing work and the kids – he made the process easy for us and it was a real benefit to know he was managing the job. From the beginning, he walked me through the job, answered all of my questions and explained what was needed and why. He showed up at our house, checked the team’s work and delivered exactly what he said he would (he also emphasized that he would prep the job the right way and I think his guys did). On price, Jay’s quote turned out to be in the middle of the pack - he’s not the cheapest but for you certainly get what you pay for. I can also say that Jay’s painting team was hardworking, considerate and it was clear that they knew what they were doing. I think the paint job looks great. Hopefully, it will last the test of time, too

Very professional and nice to work with. They left the place spotless and did a great job paint 2 rooms with very high ceilings. Appreciate and recommend their work!
