Extremely well! We had six different companies bid on the house and Jay was a) extremely competitive b) did an amazing job that made us feel - both in the quality of the work, as well in the communication and responsiveness to our needs - that we had chosen the most expensive company. Not only would I hire him again, we DID hire him again. We had his team paint the interior of a number of rooms in our home - and again, same amazing high quality and such a pleasure to work with.

All in all job went very well. Our wooden house hadn't been painted in many years and needed it badly. It was a big job and not particularly straight forward as there were multiple areas of wood rot, with some areas needing to be torn down and redone. Jay was fantastic under sometimes difficult circumstances. He is incredibly responsive, understanding and fair. The only issue was that with the multiple delays in carpentry, the job basically took the entire warm season to complete.

We contacted several painting firms and found J&S Painting Plus, the most professional and attentive of all of them as well as the price was in line for what we needed done. From the time we first called until the painting was completed was less than 2 weeks. Jay came within 2 days of our initial call to walk through and by the end of that day had given us an estimate...he was very thorough in his questions of exactly what we needed done that included some minor cracks and nail pops to be fixed. Within 3 days of our decision to have them do the painting, they were here and painting. Jay also helped us with paint selections providing color codes for Benjamin Moore paint that we did use. He stopped by every day to check in and insure we were happy with the work and progress and the two gentlemen that did the painting were quiet, neat and thorough. We would definitely contact J&S for any of our future painting needs! It was such a pleasure working with them!

Top notch! The J&S team repainted the interior of our entire home, and its looks amazing. From the initial meeting, it is clear you are working with an experienced and professional firm that takes pride in their work and care with their customers. After meeting several painters, we selected J&S due to their competitive pricing, scheduling flexibility and overall comfort. They delivered! The owner Jay was responsive throughout, and worked with us during a large multi-month renovation to complete the work in stages based on our schedule. Edgar and team were fantastic. The team was punctual, friendly and completed their work efficiently and cleanly. We couldn’t be happier with the work, and would definitely look to J&S for future painting needs.

Fantastic! Very professional from the first initial meeting, to the first day of painting all the way through the project. In addition their crew was very respectful, efficient, quiet, and hardworking. The job turned out better than anticipated! They originally said the job was going to take 2.5 days but it only took them 1.5. The crew started at 8 and worked the full day with high quality. Would highly recommend and would use again!

J&S WERE FANTASTIC!!!!! they were a dream in every way. The crews were professional, phenomenal and amazing. Jay, the owner, was extremely hands on and very focused on the details. He and his crew were such a joy to have in my house. We did a renovation and I worked with many contractors and vendors... J&S are at the top of my list for how enjoyable it was to work with them and how pleased I am with their exterior and interior work. Our wallpaper looks beautiful too.

We've used them several times for the exterior of our house. We were trusting and didn't question a lot of their work. Since the jobs were outside of the house, it was harder to inspect close up but we thought it looked good enough. Then, last year we hired them to do internal and external work and because you can get a much closer up look at internal work, it was not well done. The edges were all crooked and they even got paint along our new kitchen cabinets. Separately, they painted the exterior and gave a quote for replacing bad wood. We went over which ones would be replaced. However, when we got the bill for the wood, we saw the number of pieces replaced did not match how much they purchased. We even went through this with them and they couldn't justify and account for it. The worse thing about this is that over the years, we used them several times (for exterior and recommended them to several friends/neighbors who've used them too). There were a number of other "smaller things" we felt was not fair too. They are not \cheap but we thought we would continue using them because we found someone who we could trust. Very disappointing.

J & S Painting Plus gives me hope that there are still companies that care about their customers and provide high quality service. From my first interaction in contacting J & S for a quote, it was professional and obviously a well-run company. Clear communication, fast follow up, doing everything they said they would, and finishing on time- what more could you ask for! We started with getting our kitchen/family room painted and once we saw how great it looked, immediately booked 3 more rooms. The quality of the painting is amazing- our rooms were literally transformed- and each day the areas were cleaned and left so we didn't feel like we were under construction. I can't recommend J & S enough, they treat clients like they should be treated- and it leaves you wishing every company would follow their lead.

Excellent from the beginning, speaking with Pam. She set up a free estimate with the owner of the company, Jay. He was fab and explained everything. They were very accommodating to make sure I didn't have to miss any work and attentive to my needs and wants. Some providers listen to you but don't actually take care of it. If I said something he made sure his workers did it and any issues were addressed quickly. He was very detail oriented and responsive throughout the project. The workers were always on time, professional and let the house immaculate.

They were on time, clean and neat, also did grout and calling around tub. Pricing very fair.

We just moved into a condo in Yonkers - 3 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths. We called several paint contractors from Angie's List. Jay was the most professional of all the companies we called. He is punctual, his team is clean and careful and they finished in a timely fashion. We asked Jay if he would use his vacuum to clean out our garage - he agreed and, even though he broke his vacuum, he rented a professional vacuum and because this caused a small delay, he didn't charge me. I told him I was happy to pay for the cleaning but he didn't accept. Jay also painted all the closets, including shelves, which were not even part of the original estimate - my wife was visibly moved by this incredible act of generosity. And here's the kicker - he was the most reasonable (and most professional in terms of providing a detailed written estimate) of the three contractors who provided estimates to us. Jay is a very positive person and you can see he really enjoys providing a superior service. I recommend him wholeheartedly. His A+ rating here on Angie's List is well deserved. So, if a fair price and high quality and conscientious work is important to you, you're in great hands. I used to work for a contractor and have worked with many handymen, painters and contractors over the years but I've never had a better experience than the one I had with Jay Hall of J&S Painting Plus.

The absolute BEST!!!!! I cannot express how happy we are with the entire experience with J&S. I called and spoke with Pam and she had Sheki come out the next day! They were so professional from start to finish! From the first moment I met Sheki he ensured me that the house would look beautiful once they were done. He and his crew were so wonderful the entire time. The quality of work is top notch, Sheki was honest and so helpful, and they showed up to the minute on time each day. Sheki does business with a smile and customer comes first - I had them paint the garage door the same color as the house and then decided that I really wanted it the same as the trim - no questions asked they painted it again. Sheki was so personable that my 2 year old son absolutely adored him! He would wait at the door for him to come each morning! We will 100% be calling them again and would recommend to all!

Really well. Pam and everyone at the office is super professional and responsive.. Sheki and his crew were given a nearly impossible timeline to finish so we could move in... And they got the job done faster than expected... I am hiring them again for a few additions we made inside... I really can't say enough about these guys and they quoted us so much lower than everyone else. I highly recommend their services...

Our entire experience with Jay and his company was fabulous, and we highly recommend that you use them for your painting needs. The great experience started with the estimate. Jay gave us an estimate the same day that he visited to scope the project. That estimate was detailed and explained exactly what the project entailed and how much each piece would cost. Jay arrived at our home on the first day of work to ensure that his employees knew exactly what they needed to do. He also checked in and remained engaged during the week-long project. And Jay answered any questions we had with good nature and understanding, including by keeping us updated on when to expect the project to be completed. Jay walked the project with us when it was finished to make sure it was done to our satisfaction. To sum up, Jay is exactly the type of person you want to deal with for any type of home improvement project. The J&S paint crew was equally terrific. The painting was exceptional, both inside and out. The paint was applied neatly, the lines between ceiling/door moldings/baseboards and walls were clean, and the finished product looked great. In addition to doing the obvious things (like doing a great job painting our house), the crew did the small things that showed that they cared about the details of their work. The crew did not make a mess of our yard or the inside of our house. They repaired baseboard moldings that had been loose for years. They carried a stack of shutters to the curb on garbage pick-up day (without me asking them to do so). They neatly stored their equipment at the end of each day. And they did some nice carpentry work as well. These are just a few of the small things that make this business stand out. So, if you want a great paint job at a very reasonable price done by people who care about their work, their customers, and their company, then J&S Painting is absolutely the company you should hire. Jay and his employees are very professional and did an amazing job. Jay had the most competitive price and included extra services that the other companies we received estimates from did not. I will definitely be hiring them for all our painting needs. The outside of our house was in really bad condition with a lot of wood rot, it now looks like a brand new house, we've had many comments from neighbors and friends about how nice the outside of our house looks. His employees are very professional and would clean up and put all the ladders and supplies discretely away at the end of every day so that you would never know we were having work done at our house.

It was the BEST possible experience! These folks are professional, thoughtful and invested in making sure that we were not just happy, but ecstatic with the services they provided. Our home now looks amazing and all the issues we needed to address with weathered (rotted) wood and exterior upgrades were handled quickly and perfectly.

Sheki came by for an estimate. He was professional and outlined what he would do and listened to our concerns about the job. From then on, we had no worries. They even repaired 2 windows that had cracked prior to the job. Every aspect of the outdoor job was addressed. They painted railing and the foundation as well. Even before the job was finished, the house looked 100% better. We highly recommend J &S Painting Plus and look forward to using them again!

Jay and his staff were extremely professional. When Jay came in to determine the estimate, it was very easy to talk to him. He asked questions about areas that I had not considered. In some cases, I included his inquiries to the job. The staff came in on time and immediately began to work. The work was very well done. They willingly moved furniture and pictures and put them back for the most part from where they had removed them. As usual with painting, you need to clean but they help mitigate some of the dust by expanding the areas that needed to be covered. I am planning to use Jay and his staff again.
