I found Bernie’s landscaping company on Angie’s list and took advantage of the big deal to have him come and create a plan for my small yard. We discussed what I wanted and he made suggestions. I then met him at a nursery to select the plants: 4 hydrangeas, 3 knock out roses, 3 variegated euonymus golden shrubs, 1 holly bush, and another little shrub that I can’t recall. He and a crew of 3 men arrived 2 days later and completed all tasks. It was a very hot day and they worked tirelessly. Everything turned out beautifully and I was very satisfied with their workmanship. They were punctual and very meticulous and left the yard neat and clean. I waited 1 year before submitting this review because I wanted to make sure the plants would survive. I’ve had to battle with the deer, but they all made it through the winter and are doing fairly well. This summer, I hired a mason to do some hardscape and I had them surround the two beds with black Belgium blocks which provides a much neater appearance than just edging. I would definitely work with Bernie again and highly recommend him to anyone considering a landscaping project in the future.

Wanted to hire a landscaper but their estimate was high

It went great. Bernie came over first to see what we needed and then a few days later a crew came with Bernie and did the job and it was great.

OK. Nothing special. The guy who came out suggested hydrangeas to bring color to the north-facing front of my property. I tried it, but they idn't flourish.

I did not like him at all. He ruined my tree. I know you have high regard for him, but I am not happy with him. My tree died on one whole side after they trimmed it. He was forcing me. He kept calling me back. I said, "No, it's the wrong time of the year. I can't do it now." He said, "No, you can do it. It's okay. Blah blah blah." Well, it was the wrong time of year, and half of the tree died, and it's right in the middle of front of my lawn, so I am not happy at all with him. It didn't happen immediately. I didn't know until the following spring until the tree did not come back on the other side. I could take a picture of it, it's absolutely ugly. I don't know what to do about it, I really don't. I hate taking the tree down. I planted it in memory of someone who passed, which only makes it even worse. My thought was he's looking for money, it's not the season anymore, and he's pushing the envelope here on me and he was really insistent, and I agreed and I'm sorry I agreed because I knew it wasn't a good idea. Pay attention. You're supposed to be a knowledgable person of taking care of trees and what not and you knew this was a wrong season to do what you did, to do the trimming, and you actually pushed me into saying yes, and I said yes, and I totally regret it. They should know their seasons. They should know when they can do whatever work they do. The price was good. He wasn't being responsible or responsive. They were on time. I would never use them and nor would I recommend them.

I'm sure it would have went well if I could have waited for the appointment date. Glinski was professional and timely in evaluating the job in order to give me an estimate. The offer pricing I thought was unbeatable ($699 for 3 Tree Service Professionals for a Half-Day). I had to go with a different tree service professional due to schedules of other contractors needed for my overall project.

Bernie and his team did a fantastic job landscaping our home. Bernie worked with us to come up with a design that we liked and recommended the best plants, trees and shrubs for our yard. He was very responsive whenever we had questions about the process or wanted to make changes to the design. He and his crew were punctual and professional. Overall a real pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend.

I told him what I wanted and I had certain preferences. He had two jobs and he did a great job with the trees and clearing them out. When it came to the landscaping he brought flowers that I didn't want and he refused to take them back. The plants that he brought were of poor quality. He brought about 2 dozen plants and only seven of them survived. He also did not provide any mulch and he just refused to replace anything even when we offered to pay. The worst part about this was his disrespect towards me and he was rude and screaming and was awful to deal with.

Everything went really well, from the first phonecall, initial visit and price quote, through to the end game.

They came on time and were careful to protect other gardens within the same area. They did an excellent job cleaning up when done.

I thought this would be a consultation and we would receive a visual design. Bernie Glinski called me and made an appointment promptly. He was professional and I'm sure a good landscaper with years of experience. However what I received was a 15 minute consultation and a line drawing sketch for my front lawn. I couldn't be sure what the plants would look like and when I mentioned the design was not to our liking, nothing else was offered. I could have received the same service by asking for an estimate directly and not paying 99.00 for a design which did not meet my expectation.
