We got quotes from at least five different HVAC contractors. Jim from AMX impressed us above all the others as honest, no-nonsense, very knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. The work was done on time, on budget and without any problems.

We got bids from one other supplier. AMX was about 10% higher than the other bidder, but we chose them because Jim inspired greater confidence. The other supplier would have probably been fine, but it is important to me to be comfortable with, and have confidence in the people I am dealing with. The entire installation went as planned and agreed to, without a hitch. The installers clearly knew their stuff, and worked efficiently and considerately. The workmanship was excellent -- and I am a fussy customer who closely supervises any work done on my house. A/C is a technically complex undertaking. Selecting the components and designing the installation really matters for ultimate performance and efficiency. I did my homework, and was satisfied that the recommendations from AMX were appropriate, and that the work was at a high standard.

AMX consistantly sends out great technicians. Everyone of them has been a seasoned pro who works with you. They are there when you call and have fast response times. The other night the hot water heater broke and was flooding the down stairs. I called the plumber and was told that someone would call me back. I called AMX because the heating system is in the same room and wanted to know how to safely shut the heating system off. The technican calmly told me what I needed to do. Even told me where the value was to close off the hot water heater. The value was rusted and would not close. He then told me to turn off the water for the house. Before I hung up, he told me to call back if needed anything else. It was not just a standard line, he wanted to make sure things were ok. The plumber finally called back and since things were and quot;under controland quot; that they would not be there until late the next day. In other words, now the whole house would not have any water until they came. I called AMX back to have them check the heating system. AMX was there immediately. The technician checked the heating system and gave it the ok to turn back on and he also took a look at the value on the hot water heater. He was able to turn the rusted value to close so I could turn the water back on for the house. I have been using AMX for heating and cooling for over 1.5 years and every technician knows what he is doing and cares about doing a quality job. I have complete confidence in them. I just wish they could do everything for my house because life would be so much easier.
