Precision Door Service

6/5/2023 Precision Door was called to replace a roller type assembly for one of my garage doors. The technician informed my wife that our door did not use a spring loaded roller anymore and suggested installing springs , safety cables and new pulleys. Good so far. My wife authorized the installation an estimate was supplied and the work completed. When I arrived home and was presented with the bill I was shocked! Springs that sell for $50-75 dollars they charged us $200 per spring, $400, plus additional parts bringing the bill to over $1000, for springs to repair a garage door. The entire job took a little over an hour. This is unacceptable in my book. There is no way in good consensus I could recommend this company to anyone. I give them a 0 star rating

Great installation. Had a service man by the name of Jesse Peligri. He was terrific. Great communication and always on time for appointments. Jesse was a meticulous worker and made sure the garage door opener worked as intended. Very friendly and a very hard worker. I'm glad he was the service man to do the garage door install. I would recommend Precision for any garage door service. Thanks guys!

It went fine. I was called the night prior to installation to see if I was available. The office scheduled for 8-12 noon the following morning and said that since there was only a minor job in the morning, they would arrive shortly thereafter, but the technician arrived closer to 1 p.m. The initial discussion was that the measurements for the track were incorrect and that since the existing track showed no rust nor discernible wear, that it should be left in. I asked for a warranty extension or discount if that was going to occur and I was offered a $50 discount. But a short time after , it was determined that the new track was needed and the installation proceeded as originally planned. The door seems to work fine at this point, though perhaps the bottom handle might have been installed a few inches too high because to manually close the door, I need to stick my hand through the weatherstripping to grab the handle.
