+ 1 moreI cannot say enough good things about the company and especially Brian. From the time I made the first phone call to the time Brian finished the job, we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. Brian wore cloth booties whenever he came into our house and was courteous, understanding, and a true professional. The work was done perfectly. Although we paid by the hour (quarter-hour after the first 2 hours) he wasted no time and completed the work in the shortest time possible. We greatly appreciated the effort he and the company made in keeping the cost down. Before the appointment John and Phil told me what I would need to buy and have on hand. Although it cost me over $300, I was able to return $200 worth of items, due to Brian' ability and efficiency. This is a wonderful company with hard working and honest people. I would call them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them to anyone needing a handyman.
Description of Work: Brian came to our home precisely at the time scheduled. He got to work immediately and installed new flush kits in both of our toilets. He need some materials that I did not have so he got what he needed at a local plumbing supply house during his lunch break. Before he left for lunch he suggested he also pick up a soap dispenser for the kitchen sink. He then proceded to install a new kitchen fawcet with the new soap dispenser which perfectly covered the hole left by removing the sprayer which we no longer wanted. It was a great suggestion!! He then scraped and caulked both bathtubs and the backsplash in back of the kitchen sink. He also repaired our outside security light. I had bought a new one for him to install, but he suggested that he try to fix the one we had. He was successful and it saved us $50.00.

+ 0 moreI made an appointment. A young man named Brian came and listened as I described the chores on my list. He went to the store and got the needed materials and then performed the work. He was very friendly and professional. He had to come back to fix something that went a little askew. There were no questions asked and no charge. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I asked for a variety of services - drywall, fixing fallen bathroom fixtures, etc. Everything was done quickly and well. It was a little pricey but they stand behind all of their work and treat their employees properly which is something I want to support.

Description of Work: It was several services; they installed an air conditioner through the wall, they changed locks, and other things. I have recommended them to my neighbors and so far 2 have hired and admired the service. Of course they do many more and bigger jobs.

+ -1 moreThere is a 2 hour minimum & as with any house, there are multiple little jobs that I ask to get done at the time of the visit. The company is licensed and insured and has a track record. They are also part of a national franchise. The rogue handymen out there may be cheaper, but it's a huge gamble letting those guys in your house. Mr. Handyman comes in a marked truck, with tools, and the workers are uniformed and professional. Robert, the handyman, came on time, was efficient and knowledgeable.
Description of Work: This is the 3rd time I have used this service. In the summer and fall, the primary job is getting a/c's in and out of windows.

+ 0 moreExcellent. The technicians that work for Mr. Handyman helped re-refinish my basement after some flood damage and after the installation of a water management system. They sistered-up the joists, installed "green" sheetrock, chair rail and fixed any other wood details that were ruined wherever necessary. The job took 1 man 2 days and the work was outstanding. Another time, 2 technicians installed 5 flower/window boxes and assembled and securely installed a PVC pergola; this job took 2 men about 6 hours to complete; the job was excellent. Expensive, but not outrageous, and definitely worth the peace of mind that these are always trained professionals who know what they are doing; no worries!
Description of Work: Carpentry, woodworking, assembly and installation. We supplied all materials; they supplied the tools.

I was happy to have found him but I think there needs to be a wider selection of people in my area to do such services. He was timely and fair in price. I was satisfied from top to bottom and would use him again.
Description of Work: Mr. Handyman repaired a windowsill that had water coming in because of erosion on my 2000 square foot home. He replaced the parts that were eroding and made repairs so water no longer seeps into my home.

He explained the procedure, the cost and told me the worker would come in a Mr. Handyman truck that is clearly marked. I told John I had a $20 coupon from Angie's List web site, that's why my total was less that quoted. Pete called me about a half hour before the appt. to let me know he was on his way. He was very pleasant, professional, and knowledgable. He gave me tips on how to keep the garage organized. I was surprised at how many services they provide., the checklist of services is thorough. In my area there are many things that the sanitation dept. doesn't pick up, Pete gave me a number to call to make an appt. for pick up. I was very pleased with the company he suggested.
Description of Work: Pete cleaned out and organized the garage that was built in the 1960. A few months ago I had squirrels in the garage, they left a lot of ripped insulation, torn cushions and lot of debris. A lot of the debris was in the rafters. Pete cleaned that area and removed the old makeshift foundation that was placed on the beams and replaced them with plywood so the area can be used for additional storage. I had a table about 3ft by 10ft that was behind the garage, he placed the table in the garage so I can use it for storage and have a work area for my plants, etc. There was a lot of old window panes, screens, long metal pipes, rotted wood, lawn furn., and other materials that needed to be removed. Once the garage was cleaned he organized all of my tools, lawn furniture, gardening supplies, boxes, etc. He changed the two motion flood lights on the garage and the two motion flood lights over the kitchen door for the back yard. He put All of the debris, etc. out on the curb for pick up.

The assigned guy always showed up on time, knew exactly what had to be done, did it very professionally, cleaned everything up after each visit, and did his work quietly and efficiently. The new inside closet wall looks great again. We had another project in another home and made the mistake not to ask for an estimate and they didn't give one. The work was done beautifully again, but the price was way too high and for that reason we won't contact this company again. The cost of that project was a surprise, but their work is excellent.
Description of Work: We had a leak in a closet wall. The wall had to be removed, cleaned up, and replaced with a new drywall. They removed wall, insulation, and related mess had to be taken out. It was a process that required two separate visits.
