It went well. Dave showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and most important, cleaned up after himself

Regrout partial shower tile, washer for sink, reconnect drain in another sink, and fixed a broken kitchen drawer.

The company was very professional in setting up appointment, showing up on time, and working with the customer. The handyman assigned was terrific--thoughtful, communicated well with me, made suggestions for fixes or alternative solutions. He was extremely cordial, great personality and clearly competent.

I have 2 words for this setup: daylight robbery. Beware - charging by the hour means the workers are in no hurry to finish the job and work well; don't expect that the owner would take responsibility for that - this is what happened to us: Quality and speed of work - very disappointing! - We were given a preliminary estimate by the owner and we thought the price looked reasonable compared with the other companies even though they charge by the hour. In reality, it took the guy who had a helper for a half day (we paid his hours too), more than 2 days to finish one bedroom 9x12 and one wall in the living room. Plain paint, nothing fancy, other than the normal spackling that goes with some imperfections and 2 spots where we asked for the drywall to be fixed. He was in absolutely in no rush, taking his time, as the meter was running anyway. We thought ok, maybe it's because he will do a great job. Sloppy, unprofessional, not good - there were even areas where the paint had been dripping and the droplets had dried this way, part of the moldings not even painted, etc.. Most importantly, if we hadn't stopped him it would have probably taken him a week to finish the 3 rooms (we have a small split) and by that time we would have been broke! Owner's responsiveness - he couldn't care less! - We called the owner at the end of the first day to share our concerns (both quality and timing). He didn't have time to listen ad told us he would have time for us at the end of the following day...???? I guess that's how they get one more day's worth of pay out of you... We were barely able to get him to come the day after and all we got from him was "pay me my money, because I am a busy guy, I have to go places, no time to deal with you". He refused to talk about quality, was very abrupt, all his focus was on getting his money. The aftermath: We felt wronged and blatantly mistreated for no reason. Most importantly this derailed our entire renovation project - both time-wise and budget-wise. We ended up losing both hard earned vacation days and the opportunity to finish the other legs of our renovation project as we had to deal with the aftermath of dealing with Mr Handyman. Hope the above info helps you to avoid finding yourself in our situation. Good luck fellow homeowners!

Very well, you pay, but you get the job well done and professionally complete. I was quite pleased. The offered advise when asked for and were kind, willing to help and gave suggestions of how to proceed.

Joe, showed up on time and went right to work. He was pleasant, professional , neat and most of all, really knew what he was doing. All the work was done efficiently and everything has been working well and looking great . The service is not cheap, and I did find myself surprised at the difference between what was estimated over the phone and what I ended up paying, On the other hand, some of the repairs were really corrections of shoddy work done by others who charged a little less. I don't think I'll have to pay twice for the work that Mr. Handyman did.

He was great. He was on time and did everything that he was suppose to do and was well with in my budget

He was very polite and explained to me the history of his company. I did not care for the fact that he would not see my after 6PM or earlier on a Saturday. He explained, he does not work after 6 and he does not work weekends. In addition, he charges $40.00 dollars for an estimate, which if you use him will be deducted from the bill. Maybe its just me,but this "rubbed" me the wrong way. I found this very surprising considering his reviews. I guess contractors have just become so imdependant that a prospective customer has to work around the contractors schedule. Oh well, we move on.

Overall, it went well and the job is well done. The Pros: They were prompt, curteous, neat, and professional in dress and manerisms. The Cons: I thought it was a little cheesey that they charge for estimates. I did use them and my estimate fee was refunded, but given the fact that it is the owners who come give the estimates and not the guy's who actually do the work, I thought it was another way to make a buck if you go with another contractor. The worker showed up on time, but given the fact that the boss speced out the job... he should have known what was needed...instead I had to go to Home Depot with him to get the supplies and pay for them, this ate up an hour in labor...and as other's have said, they have a heafty labor rate. To save me a couple of bucks the worker reused a piece of wood from the original door frame, after it was painted I could see indentations in the wood from where he had pried it off the wall. NO ONE ELSE would probably ever notice it, including my wife...but I did...so call me picky. So, other than a slight blemish on a piece of wood that no one else would notice...even though I was unhappy with a couple of their policies, I knew about how they operated before hand....so why did I use them? I'll tell you why I used them: Because they appear professional, are licensed and INSURED, and frankly when having someone do work inside your house you want someone who you can trust, someone who is reputable, professional, and certainly licensed and insured...not some fly by night crook in the back of the Pennysaver. .

He never showed up and over the phone quoted me $150 per hour for work - as well as tried to charge me a $40 fee just to come out and give me an estimate! Maybe it was a good sign that he didn't come out.

They were courteous, nice, and when I had a problem with the AC unit because they did not caulk the bottom of the window, they came out the next day without any problems.

Dan was highly professional, punctual, and courteous. He picked up the lumber and fasteners required at the home improvement center and started work immediately. Job was performed in four hours including complete clean-up. Only drawback: at over $100 per hour for labor, Mr. Handyman's competence does not come cheap. I was, however, advised of the hourly rates in advance. Disposal of old planks would have cost $75 additional.

He is very nice and courteous. But he is very,very expensive. He is $158 for the first hour and $108 for the next hour.

Overall, it went very well. The repairman arrived within the timeframe promised. He completed the tasks timely (90 minutes). Had the one thermostat been good to install, he would have been done just under the two hours I paid for. He did indicate that when I obtain the proper thermostat, I could contact them and they will install it and charge me for one hour, not the two hour minimum. The only problem that occurred was that the one thermostat installed was done incorrectly and the repairman did not test it before he left. I called Phil immediately after I realized it was not working and he sent the workman back within a few hours to correct the problem.

I thought I had a broken fixture and they were so honest he said I had a broken bulb. He did charge me because I sent him to buy the bulb. He did charge me for the visit. You promise to pay at least an hour when you hire them. I have used him before to hang up a ceiling fan for me. They were very good. They are very honest and very fair. They call and follow-up with me and ask if I was satisfied.

We keep calling them because the work is so good. It started with fixing a sliding balcony door, and kept going through smaller jobs to the garage window installation. Not only would we call them again, we have and look forward to using them for all of our handyman jobs. Their staff is professional, thorough, helpful, pleasant - everything you want. They have gone above and beyond to help with jobs that they thought they would not be able to do initially. We are very pleased to have found them.

The guy was unbelievable. He was on time and very polite. He was right on the price and was punctual on the time frame he estimated. I would highly recommend him.

They were ok. Just a little expensive. We had difficulties for them coming out and ultimately they did the job.

He came and charged me $40.00 for an estimate. He said if he did free estimates for everyone, he'd be broke. So he took my $40 and gave me an estimate that was so exorbitant it wasn't even funny. The estimate for the two things I wanted done was $1,650.00, which is out of control. His response was an A because he arrived within an hour of my phone call. The F overall is because he was out of control expensive. I would absolutely not consider using him.

I spoke to John and Phil who couldn't be more responsive and helpful. They sent over Brian to do the work, which took several visits, and each time Brian was professional, courteous and extremely helpful. I would definitely use them in the future. It was a pleasure.

Mr. Handyman sent one of his repairman to do the job. It was done is a fairly quick manner. I did notice that there was a problem as the door was not closing properly. I called and the repairman was sent back and it appeared the door was closing properly. My neighbor did not return to her home for several months as she had to go to rehabilitation for a few months after the hospital. When they came to see what needed to be done they were very curt and wanted to add an additional charge for painting.

Contacted by phone, we had a conversation where the fee schedule was explained, they quickly understood the issue and addressed it. The representative arrived at appointed time was shown the issue, quickly grasped the problem even suggested the ways to remedy it. He had all the parts with him necessary to complete the job and rather then replacing the whole downspout he properly repaired the problem area. Fast friendly competent - I would not hesitate to contact them again, I would also feel comfortable recommending them to friends and family.

No explanation was given as to why our handman work is unattractive to this company.

I was extremely pleased with this company. All of the people that I dealt with were professional, polite and returned phone calls very quickly. Robert who did the work was prompt, courteous and did a good job. I was not happy with the results of the cement repair and called the company. They were very prompt in responding to my problem and had it fixed in a couple of days and I was very satisfied with the results. I felt that the price was a little high but you get what you pay for. I would use them again and would also recommend them to my friends and neighbors.
