Description of Work: typical big company. double-billed me for several months, didn't correct it until i squawked. took over our contract from our alarm company, did no service, never checked our system, just wanted our money. we are now with simplisafe.

 + -1 moreThe installer was ok. Its the company that stinks. If you go on automatic debit with your monthly monitoring, watch your statements because they double bill your account. If you need to get a hold of customer service you will be put on hold for 20 minutes. When they tell you that they will call you right back, don't hold your breath. That return call NEVER happens.

 + -1 moreI think General Security is more expensive than their competitors, but the service is second to none, the quality of the untis are top notch, and the salesperson was very accomodating to any issues I had in the beginning.
Description of Work: General Security upgraded our alarm system from an antiquated wired system to a wireless one. We installed two alpha numerice keypads, 3 motion detectors, 4 door units, 8 window units, a glass shatter detector, 3 smoke detectors, 3 carbon monoxide detectors, and a small attachment for a keychain that can activate the alarm from inside or outside the house. Additionally we pay $30 a month for monitoring.

 + -1 moreI found out about General from my neighbor and I am glad I did. They are great to work with. They do the job right. They have the knowledge and the skill level to provide excellent services year-round.
Description of Work: General monitors the home alarm system in my more than 1200 square foot home. I do pay them monthly for their services.

 + -1 moreWhat a pleasure it is to deal with this company. I have set off the alarm before and my phone immediately rings. It is them making sure I am okay and that my house is okay. They respond right away. There is no hesitation. They act and act fast. That is why I like this company. They take care of me.
Description of Work: General Security had upgraded my 1600 square foot home's alarm system years ago. Most recently, they have provided me with monthly monitoring.

 + -1 moreTHEY ARE A VERY GOOD COMPANY. WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM AND THEY FIXED IT WITH NO CHARGE BECAUSE IT WAS THE PHONE COMPANY'S FAULT. THEY ALSO MAKE IT VERY CONVENIENT TO GO OUT OF TOWN BECAUSE THEY ALLOW A TEMPORARY CONTACT PERSON TO HANDLE PROBLEMS.
