Description of Work: By pre-arrangement, someone from this company was to come by our house today to do 2 things: 1) clean the flue from the furnace to the top of the chimney; 2) inspect the flue and certify that it was all right to put in a new boiler. When the person showed up, he refused to state clearly why he was here and what he was going to do. Specifically, he refused to confirm that he was going to clean the flue out and kept talking about the fireplace, an irrelevant issue. I called Michelle who had arranged the appointment to confirm that they were going to do what she told me they would do. She again refused to confirm that they would clean the flue from the boiler through the chimney stack and started talking about the fireplace. I asked her several times if they were going to do the two things they said they would do as noted above. Like the guy she sent here, she refused to confirm that they were here to do the two things we had agreed on earlier. After asking her several times to confirm the agreement without her doing so, I told her it would not work out and told the guy she sent here to leave. My experience of these people is that they are very evasive and don't seem to understand the difference between the flue from the boiler and water heater that is in the chimney stack and the flue from the fireplace. This basic confusion on their part, general failure to do what they said they would do and extremely time consuming verbal evasions to simple questions, indicated they were not trustworthy at minimum. It is unfortunate since she seemed nice when I first spoke to her. The problem is what they actually would or would not do and their failure to confirm that, once they gained entry into the house. It had a bad feeling of a bait and switch routine.

Description of Work: several years ago rebuilt one chimney...have serviced and swept chimneys [3 ] since then on regular basis....then hade to do extensive masonary work to 2 of them.......are always gracious and responsible.....
