I was unhappy with their work. This particular installer, in my opinion, did sloppy work. I would recommend you not use this particularly company.

I was attempting to have window treatments installed by Distinctive. I scheduled an appointment for measurements, and was gien a two hour time frame. At the end of the timeframe, I received a phone call from the installer that he was running late - which was fine. An hour later I got a call from the company saying he was not coming because the closest parking he could find to my apartment (in NYC) was 2 blocks away. 2 blocks!! I called the installer furiously, and he told me he could not walk that far because he has "heart problems." He was just doing a measurement - it's not like he was carrying equipment - and how was I supposed to believe that a man who is supposedly installing all my window treatments was unable to walk literally 2 blocks!?! I spoke to the manager of the store to tell him how disappointed I was, and he had the nerve to tell me that since that man had been with the company a long time, we needed to show him respect. What about respecting the customer?? Amazing. Nevertheless, I gave them another chance - the manager himself was supposed to come do my measurements. Of course, this also took 2 attempts at scheduling before someone actually showed up when they said they would. Imagine my surprise when it was in fact NOT the manager himself coming as he had promised, but someone else! Fine. He took my measurements, and I thought finally we could get a move on getting my window treatments. That was two weeks ago, and despite literally hours on the phone, being passed along between millions of people (because somehow magically the manager is never available when I call, no matter what time of morning, afternoon or evening, conveniently), they somehow can't find my measurements. Granted, I'm only out the $40 for the measurements since they haven't even given me a chance to pick my shades yet, but I am cancelling my order immediately and going to work with someone else. This is the WORST customer service I have ever encountered!! No one should bother with them - there are certainly better companies out there!
