Four Points Remodeling & Design Center

I needed two floors replaced and a complete kitchen makeover. Jim and Missy put me at ease from the beginning of this project. The showroom made selecting new cabinetry, countertop, flooring, and hardware a breeze with no running around trying to make my selections. Everything went smoothly. The only minor snag was due to my decision to change the backsplash tile, and I'm so glad I did, because I absolutely love the backsplash! And my beautiful Cambria quartz countertop! Questions and concerns were addressed promptly and courtesously. Add-ons along the way were worked in (widening of a doorway, adding a couple new doors) without a problem. I LOVE my new kitchen and floors. Every person, from the front desk to the guys that did the work, represented Four Points with courtesy and professionalism. Missy and Jim are wonderful and very easy to work with.

My original 1954 bathroom was taken down to the studs and remodeled, including a new door, new shelving in what was formerly an empty space between the end of the tub and the outside wall, and insulation. The workmen were prompt, efficient, flexible in working around my schedule, and responsive to all my questions. Missy and Jim were receptive to changes, easy to work with and always helpful. I am thrilled with my new beautiful bathroom. I highly recommend them for any remodeling projects.

Missie did a Great job on the design and layout of our new kitchen, after we gave her an idea of what we were hoping for. Great show room so we could make the decisions on the materials we could being using in the new kitchen. She was knowledgeable enough to help us choose in the various materials, which was a great help in our choices. When that was all said and done, they had a computer program that showed us the what the kitchen would look like on completion. The Company's employees were very capable in doing their job, on time each day and courteous. There was one day the workers could not make it on the job because of the flu and Jim, the owner, came in so the job could keep the schedule. My wife and I are pleased with the outcome and they were competitive with their price.

Owners (husband/wife) were kind, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Business location was easily accessible and full of the products they use so it was easy to make decisions on fixtures, vanity, tub, etc. The two young men that did the work were also professional, highly experienced, and most importantly, trust worthy; they were in my home unescorted for 10 days. They cleaned up each night and arrived promptly each morning. My bathroom looks like it's out of a magazine! I loved them so much they are now actively designing my kitchen!

It went fantastic! Beyond our expectations. As an architect I know good design, quality and service and we got all three with Four Points Remodeling. They were clear, curtious and the guys on our job were awesome with incredible attention to detail. And they stated and ended as planned. Outstanding!

Overall excellent job! Missie and Jim were easy to work with and Missie was a great help in the design phase - she has a terrific eye and a great sense of style. The construction was top-notch. I was very impressed with the quality of the plumbing and electrical installation that even gets covered inside the walls and is never seen. You can tell the craftsmen really care about what they do and how they do it. All the tile work (floor and shower), also, was great. I'm very happy with how the bathroom turned out, however, there was one substantial glitch along the way - that being, THEY DON'T PAINT!! On their website one heading claims they offer, "Full-Service Remodeling." I really have to wonder, if you leave the painting of walls and ceiling for the customer to subcontract out, how is that possibly "full service?" A direct quote from Missie, when I noticed and inquired about wood flooring samples at the showroom was, "we do it all." Well, not so much! For full disclosure, the estimate stated, "make ready for paint" when talking about the ceiling and walls. I, obviously, misunderstood what that meant. My question though, as a neophyte to the remodeling process, should I have known what that really meant? In hindsight, I guess I should have asked, but nothing jumped out at me to inquire about. "Make ready for paint" seemed to me like the actual painting didn't need to be spelled out, it was a given. After all, what contractor remodels an entire bathroom, but leaves out the final step? Missie and I even picked out the paint color together. I was now on my own to become a subcontractor. I, personally, didn't know of any painters who would do such a small job, (the bathroom is only about 5'x7') I contacted the two painters Jim recommended, but they couldn't or wouldn't do the very small job. I told Jim I would have gladly paid the extra money (a 15% markup, as Jim explained) to have him manage the ENTIRE process, so I didn't have to spend MY time making arrangements and coordinating dates and times for the work. After all, this is exactly why one hires a contractor in the first place! So...if you're going to hire Four Points Remodeling, make sure you go over EVERY item in the estimate & ask a lot of questions!

Missie and Jim were very helpful and patient in assisting in our choosing the various parts, hardware, bath, toilet, etc, etc, that needed to be replaced. The installation and floor tiling went well. The remodeling was performed by craftsman and we felt that we were in professional hands. An excellent job by excellent people.

The crew arrived and covered the floors, stairwells and portioned half of the room off so nothing would get dirty. Roger and Corey were professional and accommodating along the way. They informed us of what they were going to do each day so we could plan ahead. In the end we were extremely satisfied with the quality of workmanship. Jim and Missie also checked in with us regularly and they helped us from the very start with the design and picking supplies. We would go with Four points again! No surprises, just great service and a well run operation.

Jim, Missy, Sharon, David, Joe, Drew all very personable; appts. & schedule were never missed; communication very strong and much appreciated; whole team listened to our concerns; some work had to be re-done because of crew's high standards.

I was impressed that Jim the owner of Four Points was there every day. All his contractors have been with him a long time & obviously have excellent work relationship with him. They were very concerned with keeping our surroundings clear- stairs & hallways were covered in sticky plastic. Plastic sheeting protected our bedroom. All workers were very polite & friendly & professional. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Was almost sorry to have them finish & leave!!

I have no complaints whatsoever and am totally satisfied with every aspect of the work.

The bathroom looks beautiful. We traded in our 1970's bathroom for a 2017 model bathroom. The job was completed sooner than expected. Jim and Missy always made themselves available to answer of our questions. This is the second remodeling job we have hired Four Points to complete. They remodeled our kitchen 3 years ago. We started our bathroom remodeling process in February, with a September/October target start date. I dropped by the showroom and made an appointment for Missie and Jim to check out our large and outdated bathroom. They came out to take pictures and measurements and review our list of what we did and did not want in the new bathroom, and within a few weeks Missie had a plan for us to review. At this meeting we made preliminary selections of cabinets and counter tops, and a few weeks after that we were given an initial estimate. Of the three bids we received for this project, the Four Points bid was second highest. We selected Four Points because their bid was within shouting distance of the highest bid, great feedback from some references, and we thought we could work well with Missie and Jim, which turned out to be very true. My husband is an avid H&G viewer, so he had very specific ideas of what he wanted done with new insulation, better attic ventilation, etc. and he was able to discuss all of his ideas with Jim. Missie was very helpful to me in tweaking her initial plan, selecting all of the “public” stuff—I was allowed to take countertop and cabinet samples home to study at length, and she spent a couple of hours with me at the tile store selecting floor and wall tile. Once the work actually started, it continued almost nonstop until the bathroom was completed. Delays in previous jobs pushed our start date out to the Monday after Thanksgiving. This almost resulted in a major delay after the bathroom was already gutted, as the insulation contractor Jim had recommended was involved in a big job and was not able to break away to complete our work. Jim scrambled and found another contractor with an available day that fit in the schedule, such that other than the day after Christmas, we only had one day when the site was idle. The crew that worked on our bathroom, Bogdan and Bob, were exceptional. They worked long and HARD every day and never complained (to me, at least) that they had to carry everything up two flights of stairs. I was consulted when necessary and kept informed of the next day’s work. They worked well together and were very quality conscious. I can say the same thing about the contractor they brought in to do the heated floor and tile. We are delighted with our finished bathroom. It’s a beautiful and functional room, and we absolutely love the heated floor. We’re appreciative of the work done by Four Points Remodeling—everyone is invested in the work, professional and committed to customer satisfaction. We highly recommend them, and already have to our friends.

Missie and Jim were GREAT to work with! Missie was extremely helpful with the design, color and fixture choices. Jim explained all that would be done and answered all of our questions and concerns. Bogdon and Bob were great to work with also! They were on time every day and daily protected our other rooms from dust and did a great job of cleaning up every day. When Bogdon and Bob were here they worked on our kitchen like it was their own and we could definitely tell they were confident and took pride in what they did! They also answered all of our many questions and helped us make choices with small details.

*We got 3 bids for this project. Missie's plan was by far the most complete and most thoughtful. Four Points was the most expensive of the 3, but the bids were not apples to apples. We felt the Montgomerys listened to our needs best and balanced our desires with our budget most effectively. Missie designed a new kitchen for us, creating a new footprint in an awkwardly-shaped existing space. It was a complete teardown involving moving plumbing, electrical, and ductwork, new lighting, and removing a pantry to build a custom entryway. We had already purchased new appliances. Keeping our budget in mind, she made recommendations about what would work and what wouldn't, and made color and design suggestions. Jim and Missie spelled out a clear contract indicating exactly what they would do, customer responsibilities, and payment timeline. A few things were added after the job began, some work based on what was hiding in the soffits and added painting. Bob and Michael, the workers, were fantastic. Always punctual, very knowlegeable, and communicative. When there were a couple of ways to do something, they consulted us for our preferences. A few snags came up during the project: a wrong cabinet was delivered, the door and window were delayed, a cabinet was damaged. All of these things I consider par for the course given such a large project. Jim was upfront and contacted us directly to inform us of any issues or delays, and how he intended to handle them. I always felt that they were in control, and that our project was a priority. Our project was estimated at 3 weeks. It ended up being 3 weeks plus a few days. Four Points did a complete remodel, minus the floor. Missie suggested another company do vinyl flooring to save us some money. We are extremely happy with our kitchen. Our storage and workflow works so much better for us. Our entryway is useable and functional! Everyone who has visited comments on how beautiful it is. Four Points has definitely earned their reputation here on Angie's List, and we recommend them to anyone doing a significant remodeling project. When we are ready to do our bathroom, we'll be giving them a call.
