Aaron's Exteriors

We own a lovely 1883 Victorian with rich ornamental detail. We originally contacted Aaron's Exteriors and two other contractors to replace our aging half-round gutters. Aaron immediately returned my call, came to measure and gave us an estimate. He was the only contractor to do so. The gutter type and color that Aaron recommended couldn't be more effective, attractive, professionally installed or perfectly priced. He even primed and double painted every surface of the fascia and corner moldings that the gutters would cover at an extremely reasonable price. He also followed up with a gutter cleaning in the fall, and we will continue with his maintenance schedule to keep the system operating as designed. We had significant water damage to one corner of our home due to the defective older gutters. This could have turned into a nightmare, but Aaron's evaluation of the problem -- and planning and execution of the extensive repair -- saved the house from further (structural) deterioration and my budget from the cost of a monumental rebuild. Aaron's repair is lovely and seamless, down to the architectural details that he skillfully reproduced. The roof on the porch needed total replacement. It's now solid, looks great and cost much less than I feared. Then there was the painting. Aaron meticulously sanded every square inch of our porch, including the ornamental railing and ceiling details. He then primed and applied two coats of paint, at a total cost of $2/square foot. At our request, he also resurfaced the porch ceiling and added molding to create a coffered look. When the roof our addition began to leak, Aaron repaired that as well. Everything is sound and looks fantastic! People walking and driving by continually interrupted work to ask for Aaron's card or ask us for a referral. Our village planner has moved Aaron's Exteriors to the top of his referral list. This is no mean feat in an area designated a historic district. We've already contracted Aaron's Exteriors to complete the paiting of our house this spring. I'm actually looking forward to future projects. Having a contractor this skilled, pleasant and reliable is like money in the bank.
