Dave is great. He is professional, responsive, very personally invested in the work his team does. Went well. as always. Dave has done yard cleanup for me for years, and does excellent snow removal. We have a small private street that the city didnt plow, very difficult area and his guys were always great. Early, efficient. Couldnt recommend Dave more highly. His personal tree trimming work was also excellent.
Description of Work: Mulched the garden did tree trimming, weeding. and generally made the garden look awesome before an open house.

This contractor (actually two men working as a company) was recommended by a friend. I called the number provided, and waited. About two weeks later, Mike called, apologized for the delay, and made an appointment to come over and survey the job. He kept his appointment and looked at the job, took some measurements, and quoted a price, noting that since the stone was already there, he wouldn't be charging for materials. I had been told by the friend who recommended him that texting was the best way to contact Mike, and this turned out to be true...phone calls went unanswered, but texts drew rapid responses. Mike said on his first visit that the unusual rain at the start of the season had delayed things, so we waited for a couple more weeks until I texted him and asked for a hard start date. He gave a date, showed up with his crew late that afternoon, and took down the existing wall. Two weeks later, I texted him again for a completion date, and he apologized again, noting unforseen delays, and his busy schedule (he does BBQ parties by contract on the side, and this was summer). He gave another date for the work to continue, and never showed up, so I texted him again...more apologies and a new date. He did show up with his crew the Thursday before Labor Day weekend, put in a whole day, and told us that he'd be back after Labor Day. This time, he showed up as promised, worked on the job for the next 4 days, and completed it. while it turned out that he did need more material, he used some that was left over from another job, and did not charge extra for it. The finished wall is gorgeous...Mike is a true artist and by his own admission, prefers to work with natural stone rather than pavers. I watched him several times as he carefully considered the size and shape of a piece, rejected it, and tried another until he found one that was satisfactory. The reason my rating is less than stellar is due to communication and scheduling issues...he's a great guy, does good work, and charges what he promises, but doesn't know how to schedule his projects and communicate with his customers to keep them and quot;in the know.and quot; Now that I'm aware of the scheduling and communication issues, I'd hire him again with appropriate expectations. His work deserves an and quot;A+and quot;, but customer relations hold him back.
Description of Work: Rebuild a collapsing retaining wall from natural stone.
