I have had to call back for ants after all the rain in beginning of May, they were there the next day and ants are gone. I wish it didn't cost so much, but hey, they are there to keep us pest free : ) so their great service is worth something!

+ -1 moreBill came out, and simply, it is rare that one experiences this kind of integrity in service. He spent a significant amount of time doing a run through on our recently purchased house. The prior homeowner had left us with Pantry Moths, and he gave us an easy (and successful fix) for that. Shared that otherwise, the home was free and clear and in very good shape. Strongly recommend. No charge for the estimate. Obviously we will call Garrie should we ever have the need.

The serviceman arrived during the time window I was given and explained the process and what he was going to do. The real test is if over the next couple of weeks that our house is not invaded by stink bugs as it was last year.

+ -1 moreThe company is easy enough to work with and the pest guys are nice during visits. The initial visit is when they sprayed not only outside for ticks, but inside to address the inside pests. The pests seemed to be better, but here and there I'd see bugs. That has picked up quite a bit in the two months since they sprayed. I called a couple weeks ago to schedule them to come back. There were not a lot of available times near-term, but maybe it is a busy time of year for them. I think we scheduled about a week out. That was fine, I'm just hopeful we can figure out how to effectively treat for these inside bugs and spiders.
Description of Work: I purchased a season of tick treatments and annual pest control. They have visited 2-3 times.

Explained very clearly what needed to be done in order to keep our home safe from termites, insects and rodents. Discussed a workable package for us. Set up a service appointment immediately. Service was performed the following week. Also called for a follow up to see how we were doing the week after installation was done. Great service, great Staff. We definitely will call if needed again.

+ -1 moreI contacted Garrie Pest Control to set up a "free estimate" inspection on Tuesday, August 27th. The appointment was confirmed by Garrie Pest Control, the next day, and I was given a window of 1:00pm-4:00pm on Thursday, August 29th, for the inspection to occur. On the day of the appointment, I did not receive a call from the company until 4:10pm to let me know that the inspector was on his way. I live just 5 minutes from this company's office. Because I had been waiting at my home since 12:30pm (just in case the inspector arrived early), I decided that I had waited long enough as a potential new customer, and called Garrie back at 4:20pm to cancel my appointment. The companies in Elmsford, 1/2 hour away from my home, were more accommodating and conscientious. First impressions matter to me...especially when my schedule is not being considered by a company who is hoping to get my business.
Description of Work: Nothing. There was supposed to be an inspection to determine the cost of controlling and removing a hornets nest found inside my home.

While termites don't usually first appear on the second floor, we wanted to find out what was going on. Garrie came within 24 hours, and looked both inside in the attic and outside. They treated the silver fish and we were reassured that any infestation was under control.

My contract is for one year. Bottom line, there are no carpenter ants running around my house front steps, or deck!

+ -1 moreDespite their reviews at Angie’s List, I would not hire this company, at any price. This was a big waste of time, but at least not of money.
Description of Work: The company posted a “deal” at Angie’s List, for tick control. Fine print said deal was good up to ½ acre. I tried to find out how much it would be for one acre. That was impossible to get out of them. But first, I spoke with two people who didn’t believe me that the deal hadn’t expired. The first person said we can’t give you that price because deal has expired and asked me to send them a screen shot of the deal. Somebody else was in charge of their “Angie’s List division.” Their email system didn’t accept attachments I suppose, because the pix didn’t go through. So I sent it another way. They seemed disorganized. After several phone calls they acknowledged that the deal was still good (Angie’s had it listed for 47 days longer). Then they said they would need to come out in order to give me an estimate for one acre, but they wouldn’t come before I bought the “deal” and coupon. I wasn’t going to buy anything at that point, without at least a ball-park estimate of the final cost. They wouldn’t budge, they wouldn’t even give me a price on the phone. How hard it is to add a ½ acre to a price? I’m sure if I had asked for an estimate just as a homeowner who found them by Googling, without mentioning Angie’s List they would have come.

+ -1 moreI called Garrie Pest Control because of all the glowing reviews on Angie's List, and I was not disappointed. I can't think of a single thing that let me down. An assistant answered the phone right away, I was able to make an appointment for just two days later, the inspector Steve showed up on time and took an appropriate amount of time for the inspection. He explained everything thoroughly and didn't rush me through anything. I scheduled the work a few days after that, and although the service technician John was running a little late (still within the 2-hour window I had been given, but on the later end) he called ahead and told me when he would arrive. He was polite and professional. A day later, I had such a noticeable drop in bugs I couldn't believe it. I would absolutely use Garrie again and plan on recommending them to everybody who needs a pest control service.
Description of Work: Total property inspection, resulting in a total property spray for all insects, a tick-specific prevention plan, and a couple of rodent traps.

Description of Work: In used Garrie Pest Control to spray the outside and then they looked around on the inside. I actually ended up having them come back because I was having a problem then. They bombed inside the walls to see if any wants were coming out.
