 + -1 moreI appreciated that the appraiser called ahead of time to alert me that he would be a few minutes late, upon arrival and the proper introductions he walked around my house taking notes and making questions to better understand my requirements. He prepared a draft estimate in a few minutes and said that he would send me by email the final estimate in a couple of days. He was very professional and knowledgeable, highly recommendable. I will review the estimate and will decide whether to go ahead with them. I will write a separate review on the quality of their work if I decide to go with them.

Borne Bello was the crew chief and he and his team were friendly, helpful, always on time did a masterful job and always went beyond the call of duty. My wife and I were extremely pleased with working with them and WILL use them again. Oh yes they finished the job exactly when they said they would.

The thing about the painting that was so important was that they spent more time preparing the walls than painting the walls. They followed through. They were very careful to check with me all along the way whether there was anything that I saw that I wanted to bring to their attention. You felt like you could do that, that you weren't being annoying by doing things. All the workers were good workers and friendly and appropriate. The job is excellent. They made the doors in their shop. They did just what I wanted. They came and installed them and took away the old ones. It was a good company. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: I had my apartment painted and had the door of my kitchen cabinets changed by George Apap Painting.

 + -1 moreThe estimator was professional and pleasant, the crew leader was charming and the workers were diligent and tidy. We expected the job to take 4-5 days. The first 2 days went well on the main level of the condo. On the third day, there seemed to be a real push to fininsh the job that day. On the fourth day, one painter returned to do touch-ups and final trim work. While we felt that the job had been rushed at the end, the work was good and there was minimal clean-up necessary afterwards. The business itself seems quite professsional and customer service oriented. The right choice for quality, perhaps not the least expensive option.

We actually went on vacation while they painted our house! When we returned it was like nothing happened - just everything had its new shiny coat of paint! No dust and the furniture was on its exact space! And almost no smell of paint!!! Arek, the crew's manager, was very punctual and very helpful in determining what small touches we can add to make the house look ready for sale! Arek's crew is definitely our choice for our next project!

 + -1 moreI got their name out of your book and called them and they sent somebody over to see what the job entailed and gave me a price. We set a date. They showed up on time and did an excellent job. I had to buy the paint. I asked that they start at nine because I don't get up very early and they said that would be fine.I would suggest that you ask them what paint is the best, I didn't and I wish I had.
Description of Work: My stairwell hasn't been painted sense it was built, and it really needed painting. The ceiling needed 3 coats [1 primer sealer and 2 coats of flat white. the walls needed 2 coats of primer paint. They came Wednesday and washed the upper walls and ceiling and started painting and they finished the next day. They were on time and very nice and cleaned after they were done. I would recommend them to anyone. I had to have them put an extra coat on the ceiling because the first 2 coats weren't enough.

 + 0 moreGeorge came out an looked at the job. He was really professional and listened to what we wanted to do and didn't try and oversell us on other products. His office staff was really friendly every time we interacted with them. Scheduling the job was hassle free and the painters showed up on time. What really impressed us was the great care the painters took in covering the plantings, driveway and stone around the barn. The end result was awesome! This old barn now looks like new and they cut in perfectly around all the aluminum trim around the garage doors without a drip. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to hire a painter that cares about the entire experience surrounding the job. I look forward to hiring them again in the future.

They are very professional; I have used other people in the past and I was very impressed with that. The owner came over to give me an estimate and is a very nice gentleman; George was his first name. They are rated very high on Angie's List and the pricing was reasonable.

The outcome was so good that after a chemical cleaning only one coat of stain was necessary. They were extremely helpful in recommending colors for the deck and doors. Very patient and willing to apply samples. The house looks great. It is good to work with professionals who take pride in their work.

 + 0 moreArek and his entire crew were terrific. They were extremely professional, exceptionally neat and understood our goals. We were always informed of the day's plan. They went the extra mile to accommodate us. For example, in repairing a peeling paint on a wall, they determined the peeling was caused by a leak and helped to determine and correct the cause before repainting the wall -- this on a contracted no charge job. The crew took pride in their work. Definitely good value for the price. We would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Wallpaper removed in several bathrooms and bathrooms repainted; extensive patching and repainting of accessory living room and bedroom; single walls repainted; touch-up of woodwork and chipped paint areas.

We went with the one that felt better overall not just price but also detail in estimating the quote, and professionalism of the person giving the estimate. The general work went well and we are very satisfied. The crown molding work that was performed was very good. Areas were things could use improvement are project management of the job. I am a DIY person and I have a certain appreciation for detail. I am of the impression that some of the feedback that I fed back to the painters on the job they did should have been the job of the project manager and overall quality control of the crew. Also I think there is improvement to be made in their accounting /customer relations department. There were quite a few times where communication was not good and I had to call or send an email various times to get some things done.

 + 0 moreGeorge came for the initial estimate, did a walk through with me and immediately gave me a price quote, which was quite refreshing considering that the other paint contractors that gave me estimates which took 24 to 48 hours. He accomodated our schedule and had his painting crew in my home promptly at 7am on both painting days. When I informed him that the big move day was on Saturday, he send extra painters to complete the job. They did a great job, paid attention to detail and even worked around the alarm installer. After the job was completed, the crew chief came back to correct a few minor mistakes that we'd found and discussed. I would recommend them highly. They are a company intererested in providing great customer service and satisfaction.

 + 0 moreDon't deal with Steve Apap. If for some reason you feel compelled to use the company, only deal with George.
Description of Work: The first time I used the company was to paint a room in my house, including the trim and doors. The job was done well with the exception of the paint dripped on the wood floors. The floors had to be polyurethaned due to the paint. George had him men do this at no cost to me. The second time I used the company they painted the diningroom. This time the workers put their heavy paint cans on my antique diningroom table instead of moving it out of the room. The younger brother Steve was in charge of my job. Steve is quite arrogant and disrespectful. I am old enough to be his mother yet his attitude is horrendous. When shown the damage to the table he replied that are you sure it wasn't damaged before? This was in sulting. They had to get a professional in to repair the damage. In addition, only Benjamin Moore paint was to be used and I discovered that they had used Sherwin "Williams paint on the ceiling instead of the p[romised Benjamin Moore paint. When I questioned this Steve said oh its just as good. That was not the agreed upon paint. No efforet was made to redo the ceiling with the correct brand paint. , The last and final time I used the company was to wash, scrape/feathersand the front porch and apply 2 coats of paint. They started the job late in the fall so any touchups had to wait until late the following spring. The paint that was used to touch up did not match and no effort was made to rectify the problem. Again Steve was in charge of the job. Its too bad that this arrogant young man had so much obvious power in the company. I will never use George Apap again! They made a mess of the porch!

 + -1 moreAfter reading many reviews, I was excited to get an estimate from George Apap Painting. We closed on a house and were looking to paint the entire interior including woodwork of a 3000 sq. ft house. He showed up and walked through for the estimate. Then I never heard from him again. He never got back to me with an estimate. I called his office a few days later and spoke with someone who said she would talk to him and get right back to me that day. I never heard from her or him again. Just very unprofessional and clearly not interested in a large job. Update: George called after reading this review to let me know he had some issues arise and he had lost the notes to my job among others so he couldn't get me an estimate. I appreciated the call, but still had called in a week or so after leaving a message and didn't get a call back at all. I am sure they do great work, based on the reviews here. I was just disappointed because I was excited to get their estimate and work with them based on the reviews here and it just didn't work out. I know it's also a busy time of year.

 + 1 moreI rent this condo. They cancelled several appointments with me. The service was horrible. The taping and compound was just horrible. The condo board Heritage Management, and the homeowner reached an agreement for them to come out and redo the job. I'd say 70% of my personal property was damaged and thrown around, left outside for a week. My neighbors were picking up pieces out in the yard. My sofa was torn and a lot of my stuff was broken. They sent out a cleaning service to clean and it wasn't satisfactory. They won't give me any of their insurance information to get my belongings replaced. I've made three attempts to get this taking care of. It didn't cost me anything because the condo board paid the bill for the service.
Description of Work: They were supposed to come in, replace the all ceilings' sheetrock, paint all of the ceilings with two coats, and paint all the walls with one coat. They started on the 4th and were supposed to be done by the 6th. They didn't finish until the 10th.

Description of Work: I got four quotes from painters in the area and while these people were nice, they were by far the most expensive. They were offering a 20% discount and even with the discount factored in, they were still way more expensive than the others.
