Swezey Fuel

Went as promised. Called to change service from another fuel delivery company.

I first chose this company to deliver my oil about 20 years ago. The company that I had was not responsive to my needs, their services were overpriced and their work was shoddy on their best day. I called in Swezey and have never looked back. Their oil deliveries are made without my having to call them, the price of the oil is competitive and their service is punctual, prompt and reasonably priced. Since they became my exclusive dealer, they have replaced my furnace burner, my furnace and my 550 gallon oil tank all with outstanding results. They were polite, kind, friendly and responsive to my questions. (My wife loves them because they clean up when they are finished.) On the rare occasions that the heating system had to be repaired, the service technicians were there within two hours of my call. This was true even when I called once at eleven o'clock PM during a severe snow storm. Within forty-five minutes of his arrival, the system was up an working. Five years ago Sears installed central air conditioning in the house. Had I known that it was one of the things that Swezey did, I would have had them to install it. I am going to have Swezey service it now that the service contract is over. I know that if they handle it, I will have nothing to worry about. I have owned this house for forty-five years. During that time I have had five companies performing these services. Swezey, the sixth, has been the best by far, something that I say with sincerity and with no reservations.

Service man arrived on time to check out boiler. Said I was out of oil and that I should get new unit. Received price for new unit to be installed in a couple of weeks.

January 23 we had the company come in. We had used them a few years ago. I locked into a rate for my oil. And put in to get a two year service contract, Someone came to do the initial inspection said nothing and left. It is now 2/25, we ran out of oil. We called in the middle of the night, they said a service man would contact us, no one did. We called again same thing. We woke up, called the dispatcher, said we can't deliver to you, since we had no contract. We called our salesman, he said we had not contract because we didn't pass the inspection. They sent a serviceman, he got the burner working, by putting in 10 gallons of fuel. My husband asked when we were going to get our delivery, he said we are not, because they said our tank wasn't up to code. We don't understand why we had to wait until we had no fuel, sitting in the cold, to find all this out!! Mind you they were our company about 3 years ago.

Coldest day of 2013, 4 degrees out- put call in at 4:30am boiler fixed by 9am. John and all the service guys are great. This is the fourth emergency call regarding no heat or hot water over four years...always quick response and repair. Glad we chose to have contract with them when we moved in. Waking up to a cold shower or no heat is no fun, glad we can rely on their service and regular deliveries. My heart goes out to Sandy victims who are still living with space heaters...

Spoke with Brad on the phone. No pressure and answered all my questions over the phone. I knew what I wanted based on other estimates, so there was no need to come out. He seemed very knowledgeable and did rush to get me off the phone. I would have used Sweezey, but went with another highly rated company on Angie's List and saved a few dollars.

Swezey conducted an inspection of our boiler before the service began. No complaints other than the price of fuel oil on Long Island.

We relied on Swezey to get us though Hurricane Sandy and they came within a few hours of being called to help where they can. They have never pushed us to buy additional services and only made suggestions when necessary. We recently had a serviceman out to our home to discuss different heating options and was very impressed with how knowledgeable and friendly he was. Considering how often these companies come to our home, especially in the wintertime, it's important to have a contract with a company you can trust.

They do not do COD deliveries. I received this information and a very nasty attitude from their customer service rep. All I did to receive that attitude was say and quot;Hi, how are you,and quot; and ask about fuel delivery. I probably would have went for a contract, but she didn't even try to sign me up for one.

Friendly, efficient, and a job well done.

We have used this company since 2005 to deliver home heating oil and service our oil burner. They are reliable and return calls promptly. During last years annual furnace servicing they recommended replacement of our original 1970 furnace.(The pipes were crumbling and we were not getting enough hot water for showers) They did not recommend adding a hot water tank, letting us know it could be added later if we still felt it was needed. (It was not needed, our showers no longer run out of hot water and it saved us money) They installed a separate heating zone for the basement with a digital thermostat. They came on schedule, finished the job in one day and cleaned up before they left. With a down payment, they provided 0% financing for 1 year. We are very pleased overall.

The workmen arrived promptly. They laid paper down through the house to the basement steps so as to not make a mess. It was a bit of a tricky fit to put in the tank. The installer had to take out some pipes and reroute them, but he did it cheerfully, even though he could have placed it in a less desirable location much more easily. The job took twice as long as planned because of this, but there were no grumblings about it. He even noticed that a part on the burner needed to be replaced and he did it on the spot. I have a contract with Sweezey, so there was no additional charge.

He did the job on time and very good installation.

They are very honest and prompt and are there when you need them. The oil burner contract is included.

We are no longer with them. We got a new system and we kind of switched things around a little bit, but we had no complaints about the machine. They were always very prompt if something went wrong. We really had no complaints about their service or anything. They were competitive and not charging any more or any less. They were very responsive. They responded, and when they said they were going to be here, they were here.

They are very reliable. They are very adaptable to the situation you're in.

We have been using Swezey's Fuel Oil Service for twenty years. We used them initially because they gave me teacher's discount. They no longer have the discounts but we have kept them ever since. They have always been here on time. They are very professional. No one talks down to me, which I like. They respond well to emergency calls. They have been here within an hour or two when I have called them with a problem. They have even showed up for me on a Christmas Eve. The fact that they are here within the hour when there is a problem means everything to me because I've an eight six year old dad at home. The workers who come out are very professional and very clean. They are really nice. We have a yearly contract with them and because of that we have to purchase our fuel oil from them. Their oil is comparatively highly priced and that is the only drawback. We have a very old furnace and they have helped me get it through another two or three years until I got my job back; I just bought a new furnace. They also worked with me and negotiated the price of the new furnace which was nice. They had to install the new furnace on a Saturday for which they normally charge more but they didn't because they understood that I had just got my job back. They are local and family owned, which I love. They provide a very prompt service which is fantastic. They are not the cheapest because the fuel they provide is of high grade and they also provide high quality service. I've never had an issue with them. I would highly recommend them. I would continue to use them in the future.

They did a great job and were very reasonably priced. I have been using them for at least 15 years. They are dependable and reliable. They never try to oversell and give us exactly what we need. Their customer service is excellent too. They are a good name that has been around for a long time.

I have been using Swezey since I moved in 18 years ago. At that time they installed a new burner and have been keeping it in good shape ever since. The servicemen have been polite, neat, helpful and prompt. I only had to call once in an emergency and they responded promptly on a cold night. The costs for fuel are within reason. I have had no complaints and would highly recommend this dependable company.

Called 8-24-09 for a appt. for an estimate. I was not a customer, so I had to speak to a sales rep. I spoke to Jim Dowd briefly and he said he would call me back. He never did. I called again the next day and stated that I did not receive a phone call yesterday. She asked again if I was a customer and said I had to speak to a sales rep. Again, she connected me with Jim. This time I got his voice mail and left a messege that I called yesterday about an installation estimate and to call me. He never called. Meanwhile, I got 3 estimates from Perillo Bros., Frank Bros., and Burner King. I needed this job done the next day and they were all able to do it. All were very nice and punctual. I went with Burner King because they were the least expensive, included a chimney cap which I never had, and I can still buy oil COD. The other two, I had to buy oil from them for a year. All 3 included a 1-year service contract. Check Burner King in a few days and I'll tell you how my installation went.

I have a service contract with Swezey's and have always found them as a company to be responsive and professional, and this was no different. The person who took the calls was willing to send someone to my home late at night for a problem that was not an emergency (no hot water in the summer). I opted to wait for daylight, and the repair men arrived promptly each time. They all are neat, prompt, communicative and personable. I have no problem with the 3 visits it required to correct the problem because I understand the difficulty in diagnosing certain problems on an aging burner when they are not occurring at the time the repairman is there. They arrive when promised and in the past have let me know when they would be delayed. I am very satisfied with the service I have received for the 16 years I have been with Swezey's

From the time i met Jim Dowd, the salesman, till the installation men left my house, i had nothing but a great experience. Jim explained everything in detail (this was my first experience with an oil burner) and answered all my questions. The installers came when they were scheduled to arrive and completed the whole job in one day. They cleaned up so that the basement looked better than before they came. They answered all my questions and showed me the important parts of the equipment and told me how to use them when necessary.

THEY REALLY HELPED US OUT. THEY WERE ABLE TO DO A QUICK FIX ON THE OIL BURNER SO IT WOULD LAST THROUGH THE WINTER AND WE COULD WAIT UNTIL SUMMER TO REPLACE IT. THEY CAME OUT QUICKLY TO FIX THE LEAK AND REPLACE THE TANK WHEN WE HAD THOSE PROBLEMS ALSO.

SINCE HAVING MY OIL BURNER SERVICED, IT RUNS MORE EFFICIENTLY. THE STAFF HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND CORDIAL TOWARD MY HUSBAND AND I. WHEN I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY OIL BURNER, SOMEONE COMES OUT PROMPTLY.
