Dryer Vent Wizard of Nassau County

This company wanted $476 to install a dryer vent ductwork that is next to the wall. The opening for the vent is already cut and is next to the dryer. How can six feet of duct and a new vent cost so much? I paid the $50 fee to inspect this job and told the technician I will find another company. They also would not give me a written quote for the inspection fee.

It was my first use of Angie's List and I was most satisfied; the serviced was professional, very pleasant and extremely competent. The service man recommended changing the hoses on the washer as well as installing a metal vent pipe and new outside vent. All was needed and now both he washer and dryer work much, much better. I would very highly recommend them. We did not know until recently that a clogged vent pipe can cause a fire and they need to be periodicals cleaned. We were only prompted to cal when the old non-metal pipe collapsed.

Guy was very rude and talking back. So many companies out there go with someone else. I don't care what the company writes in response to this they were not present nor did they do anything.

Tech came to the house and informed my wife we needed to replace piping. he said it would fix the clogging issue. I asked him over the phone if he checked the line to see if it was clogged. He never even took the line off the dryer but said 9 out of ten times this will fix the problem. The cost of 3 feet of pipe was $400. Tech was very rude and nasty. Waited 3 days for this type of service.

They charged $50 for the service call. The guy who came said he could not fix the vent. My vent was not up to code & he would need to replace the whole vent line (about 30') and he would have to charge extra because it was a constricted space. He gave me a quote of $1200. I did not have them perform the work. I called someone else who replaced the vent line for $200.

Technician (Alex) arrived on time assessed the situation gave his recommendation and proceeded to do the work. He had to climb up onto a ladder and replace the brand new but incorrect dryer vent, cut a larger hole in the roof to accommodate the new dryer vent and then complete the set up into the dryer by re configuring the dryer vent hose properly. Made no mess, was very professional and did a great job. Will use again to clean the vent and hose when it becomes necessary.

Bill the technician was very professional and friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. Upon one look at the venting that my dryer had he said it was not up to code and a fire hazard (which I had a hunch was going to be the case). Bill told me what needed to happen and a couple different options and the price implications. Once I decided what should be done he gave me an estimate and then started the work. Bill was very efficient and completed the job in a little less than an hour and a half. I feel like the work performed was very good and feel much safer now knowing that the venting is to code and now my dryer actually works like it was supposed to all because of the proper venting! Very happy.

The technician, Bill, was on time, very friendly, and gave lots of information as he worked. Before he left, he gave me advice about an unrelated problem with my range hood. The price was fair for the amount of time involved. I was impressed with the level of service.

Bill the technician did a very professional job. He arrived on time and quickly and efficiently installed the air vent and cover. He was very friendly and informative. Everything was done cleanly. Although the price seemed a bit high it seemed fair. The price always seems a bit high when you use a professional (such as plumber) but if it is done properly, cleanly and quickly it can be worth the cost. If you do it yourself you have to factor in ability to get the job done correctly and cost of materials. At one month after installation there have been no problems or complaints.

Bill the technician arrived on time, and installed a new dryer vent that was up to code. Before he left he removed all of the rubbish created from the job. After using the dryer with the newly installed vent for the past week, I have noticed that my clothes dry quicker.

The service went very well. It was not an easy process but they were very good. Even if they run into additional problems he kept to same price. They were quick to respond. They did an evaluation and gave me a price. They stop the price even thought like they run into some additional difficulties. They were neat, clean, friendly and very straight forward. I would recommend them.

Did not have them do service. They wanted to charge $49.00 to come to the house and tell me what I needed. I already knew what I needed and asked for a telephonic estimate only which they would not do.
