Top Hat Chimney Sweeps

Our chimney presented a challenging situation for a liner solution. In fact, we had a different contractor give up on installation of a liner for our chimney after multiple days of effort. Top Hat Chimney expertise is excellent and their logical and persistent approach resulted in the best technical solution. They also worked to minimize cost within the constraints we faced. They conducted themselves professionally and kept things clean inside and outside the house. Being summer time, we haven't had a fire as of yet but based upon the high quality workmanship, don't anticipate any issues. We give them top marks and highly recommend them.

This company is wonderful!!! When they say they will be there they will. This is my second experience with them and it has been great. My son had a similar installation and he has nothing but good things to say about them. The folks that came to our house were both neat and professional and did a quality job. The price was also very fare!

I highly recommend Top Hat a Chimney Sweeps; I worked with Caleb. When he arrived the day of he appointment, he was punctual, very efficient and knowledgable. The chimney has no more water leaks and the wood stove he installed works great especially with the frigid weather we've had this winter.

Fine - wet weather canceled the original date of completion. The work was rescheduled a week later, with the provider arriving at the time promised. The provider worked efficiently and professionally, used quality materials, answered all my questions and took photos of the chimney work at my request. Overall, excellent!

Was a good experience and would hire again. Did a very good job,was very good to talk to. The job was done in a very neat way no dust or dirt left after the cleaning.

I like them very much. The guy who came was very honest and he told me exactly what needs to be done and he would not do more than what needed to be done but he knew what is needed to be done to make the chimney safe. I didn't compare them to any other price so I can't say if they are lower or higher than others. They did very good work. They were 2 hours late, they went here in the morning to take out the part.

I called Top Hat because we had repeated incidences of birds coming down the chimney. Top Hat returned my initial call promptly even though it was a weekend. They arrived promptly at the appointed time to do an estimate. They also returned at the precise appointed time to do the work. They were courteous, professional, quick, well-informed, and all around a pleasure to do business with. And we haven't had any birds down the chimney since then.

We had an emergent need to certify that our chimney was clear due to a carbon monoxide scare the night before. We called and were able to obtain same day, expedient, professional service. I could not be more happy with the visit and I would recommend Top Hat to friends, readily.

We had a chimney fire. Thankfully it was noticed quickly and there was little damage. But the fire department strongly suggested a cleaning before using the chimney (and wood stove) again. Top Hat came out and did a cleaning/inspection on Thursday. Said there were a couple cracked tiles and that the chimney should be lined for a wood stove. They came back and took care of that on Monday. (The approx. cost listed is only the inspection/cleaning, not the retrofit. Top Hat helped get insurance to pay for that). One of the little things that stood out about their experience and professionalism: Instead of putting their ladder against the gutter, they put it further away, but against a portion of the roof without a gutter - so they didn't damage the gutter. Fast professional service. I will call them again, but this time before a chimney fire.

They provided a detailed estimate. Gave me an estimated time frame the work would be done and then called me when that time approached to let me know the exact day. Very professional. Had no trouble communicating with them - patient and easy to talk to - willing to explain. Gave me references immediately. Provided insurance information very quickly. They took care of the paper work I wanted. I had a liner put into the chimney that services the heating system and hot water heater. They provided a quality liner, insulated it and placed a rectangular cap in the chimney. They connected the heater/hot water exhaust pipes to the liner and completed the masonry work at the place the connection was made. They tested the heating system. They cleaned everything up and provided the warranty information I needed. They had enough help at the right times so that everything went smoothly and efficiently. They have a good interaction with each other and no profanity. Though not the lowest bid I had, they had the best quality product and made sure all the "i"s were dotted and the "t"s crossed. I would highly recommend them.

They cleaned the chimney and the guy got up on the ladder and gave me a report on the masonry. They were okay and did the job I asked them to do. They were punctual and their prices were reasonable.

Supurb as always.We first used this company in 2007. Purchased wood burning furnace,three wood burning stoves. Since installtion they have serviced everything twice a year. In 2009 they began cleaning air ducts at our place as well. I cannot say enough about their service, and attention to detail. Thank you Top Hat.

One-stop-shop for your chimney. After getting five different stories and some wild estimates from various masons and contractors we were happy to find people who really knew what they were talking about. They clean, repair, rebuild chimneys as well as installing fireplaces. We've been very happy with ours.

They were excellent. They were very polite when they were out. They did excellent work at a reasonable price. We can see the difference already. We will definitely use them again in the future.

This company is reliable and was always on time. They stayed on budget. The workers are courteous and friendly. They were good at keeping us informed with the schedule of work due to weather and always called to let us know what was going on.
