After flying in to meet them to review the property, they never provided a quote for the work. After several follow up requests, they said they were too busy.

Cris came to my apartment for an estimate. He seemed to know what he was talking about and I was looking forward to receiving the estimate. He specifically asked me when I needed the estimate by and I told him within a week. No problem, he said, I'll get it you by then for sure. A week came and went, no estimate. Two weeks, nothing. I called and emailed and twice he told me he would have to me that night, the latest. Here we are, over a month later and I received no estimate. No apology, no contact even. Needless to say, I'm going with someone else but waiting for his estimate that never came delayed my project by weeks. I'm very disappointed I wasted my time with York Deco.

Cris provided insurance, licensing other building management requirements prior to work on my co-op apartment. Cris also assisted on ordering of custom doors. All workers were very nice and responsive to any issues that came up during the job. Would definitely use York Deco again!

Chris first came to inspect the job and give me an estimate and them came back the next day with a crew of 3 painters. They covered every bit of floor, got to work quickly and did a beautiful, very neat job. I would definitely hire them again.

Im very pleased with the way my bedroom came out! I was very pleased with Cris ability to create all of my visions of what I wanted to get done and everything was perfect! I had wood paneling and linoleum flooring installed in my room along with a ceiling fan plus a outlet installed! The vision I wanted was a log cabin feel to the plus with more space. Cris also remolded my makeshift closet to an functional one, The carpenter Carlos (whom is employed by Cris & did the project)was very polite and professional! I would recommed anyone to York Deco cause of the trust and constant communication they provided throughout the whole project. If theres any criticism I may have of York Deco is that they need to manage time better other than that they are a top notch company! YORK DECO ARE MY CONTRACTORS I WILL RELY ON!! I recently hired Cris to do a renovation of a 3 family rental property in Gowanus. What started out as a basic remodel has turned into a complete gut job. The job was going so well that when my parents were looking for someone to paint their apartment and stain the floors, I recommended Cris. He got them a great quote, and got right to work. He was ready with all the paperwork that their demanding co-op needed and dealt with their limited hours for construction. And still, he kept a crew at our place working Saturdays and sometimes even Sundays to get the work done on time. So when it came time to do work on my own house, I called Cris again. I'm happy and am no longer searching for a good General Contractor.

This work was performed after my tenant of 5 years moved out of my co-op apartment This is the second time I have had Cris provide services for this apartment. Previously, a leak from an upstairs tenant caused me to have wallpaper removed and the plaster walls and ceiling repaired in the kitchen. I was pleased with the work Cris did on the kitchen, so I contacted him again for an estimate. He gave me a very competitive price and worked with the building management company to ensure all issues regarding licensing, insurance, and other building requirements were met before beginning the work. The workmen arrived on time and they completed all work in the estimated time of 2-3 days as promised. You cannot tell where the cracks in the plaster were repaired and now the newly painted walls, ceiling, trim and closets look excellent. When I need to paint this apartment again, I will be contacting Cris at York Deco. The quality of the work and the professionalism of this company ensure I will remain a loyal customer. Additionally, his workmen noticed the faucet in the bathtub was leaking. The stopper had been closed and water was filling up the tub. We are not talking just a drip, but slowly running water. Cris contacted me as soon as his workmen reported the matter to him. I was able to avoid water damage to my apartment by getting the faucet repaired before any harm could occur.

The work went well and Cris was very professional and timely in his work. I had checked around for pricing and he had worked with me on the price. I had used Cris before for concrete work to fix a crack on my foundation wall so I knew price was not the main issue for him. I would definitely use Cris and his company again.

ONCE I SPOKE TO CRIS AND EXPLAINED TO HIM EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED I WAS IMMEDIATELY PUT AT EASE. I FOUND CRIS TO BE EXTREMELY COMPETENT AND AN EXPERT AT WHAT HE DOES. I FOUND HIM ALWAYS CORDIAL, POLITE AND VERY ENGAGING NO MATTER HOW EARLY IT WAS IN THE MORNING. HE ALWAYS SHOWED UP ON TIME AND KEPT CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WHETHER IT WAS VIA EMAIL OR THE PHONE. CRIS ALWAYS ANSWERED EVERY QUESTION I HAD AND ALSO HAD GREAT SUGGESTIONS FOR ME WHICH USUALLY WAS DEAD ON! AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED CRIS EXCEEDED EVEN MY WILDEST EXPECTATIONS AND BEST OF ALL, HE FINISHED ALL JOBS ON TIME AND WITHIN THE PROJECTED BUDGET WHICH WE DISCUSSED WHICH IS ALWAYS GREAT! WITHOUT QUESTION CRIS WILL BE MY ONLY CONTRACTOR THAT I WILL BE DOING WORK WITH FROM NOW ON GOING FORWARD! I AM DEFINITELY FORTUNATE TO HAVE FOUND HIM.

He is cool under pressure and a great communicator who takes a lot of pride in delivering a truly excellent product on time, and on budget.
