Description of Work: Northern Tree Service mowed the two large church lawns today and two weeks earlier. Previously they trimmed three large evergreen trees and removed a small tree damaged as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

+ 0 moreThey did the schrubs just the way I wanted them. They gave me some suggestions on how to keep them low and still have the flowers on them. I have used them in the past and have been very satisfied. They also relocated a plant for me as well. He is very professional and I hope to use them again.

+ 0 moreI specifically requested that he come for the estimate when I was home. He was very responsive and nice. Since I wasn't going to be home yesterday, we rescheduled for today at 8:00 am, but he didn't show-up. After contacting him, he advised me that he had come yesterday when I wasn't home. My complaint is that he didn't leave a note or call, letting me know that he was here. I believe that if you have an appointment with a customer, you should have the courtesy of calling them back if you aren't going to show for a scheduled appointment.
Description of Work: I contacted him to come-out to provide an estimate to have roots in my front yard removed.

+ -1 moreWe had a difficult time finding anyone to take on this job. The two listings we found on Angie's List didn't pan out. Paradise Landscaping gave us what we considered to be a high estimate, and didn't return calls when I made a counter-offer than shaved $100 off the price. Gallo Landscaping wasn't returning calls or coming out for an estimate (although Mr. Gallo seemed very affable and polite on the phone). I got this recommendation from our neighborhood listserv (Boerum Hill), and Mr. Boehm was out within hours with an estimate HALF that of Paradise Landscaping. He did the job within a few days, and to the satisfaction of my next-door neighbor, who has a well-maintained garden. They were quick, thorough, and neat, and didn't damage any of our plants. GREAT JOB!
Description of Work: Cutting and removing ivy vines hanging off the side of our building as a consequence of earlier roof work.
