Description of Work: I contacted JR regarding a steel porch repair. They were very professional and courteous. They arrived on site promptly as scheduled to evaluate the job, and provided an estimate 4 days later. Unfortunately, their estimate was 25% to 35% higher than the other 4 estimates we received. Also, they indicated that the repair would take 4 days to complete, which was 2 days longer than all other companies.

Description of Work: They repaired and installed concrete tiles on my front steps and porch. They also repaired and replace the concrete driveway curtain. I called last week because the winter had been rough and a couple of things needed to be touched up. They came and did the work the same week. I am now using them to repair and seal my driveway. They are a little pricey. But you get what you pay for. These are professional who do quality work. They arrive on time and work hard. Joe is in constant contact to assure that the work is being done according to the customers desire and satisfaction. If you want the job done right this is the company that can get it done.

Description of Work: JB Contracting was great - we needed sidewalk replaced and yet maintain access to the driveway. Therefore our scheduling needs were a little crazy. JB was willing to work around our needs. The crew arrived promptly at the appointed time, worked quickly and professionally. The concrete squares look great. You could tell that they took pride in their work by the attention to detail that they showed Would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of concrete or masonry work. We will use them in the future

Description of Work: They replaced the top layer of bricks lining a walkway and the cement of that walkway. They also power washed the rest of the stoop so all the bricks would look new. We had a terrible problem with weather and when they power washed, the new cement they'd poured got gouged. They tried to patch it but the result was way below our standards.(theirs and mine) They returned and polished the cement to minimize the patched look and this worked well. I am now waiting to see how it holds up through the winter. I am confident that it will weather well. I know that Joe of JB is conscientious about maintaining his standards and his A rating. |n

Description of Work: Reconstructed brownstone stair pillars

Description of Work: They replaved much of our sidewalk and the entrance to our driveway. There were added complications because a Parks Department permit was needed because trees were impacted. Joe was incredibly efficient and professional. No time was wasted. He first assessed the work from a picture, then came out and looked at it. He met with the Parks Dept representative on site (who felt comfortable because he was familiar with Joe's work), then he scheduled, said it was a one day job, stuck to the schedule, and called periodically to be sure everything was going well. This company is terrific!

Description of Work: Complete tear off and replacement of shingles on roof w/all necessary flashing, vents, gutters and leaders. The job was done in two days. Great experience from the moment I spoke to Joe Battaglia (owner)who gave me the quote and answered my many questions right down to the team, headed by John, who were on site. They were prompt and worked efficiently. It rained the same night they finished the job and we had torrential rains two consecutive nights a week after the job was completed and listening to the gutters doing their thing kept me at ease knowing no rain would be coming inside my home. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Demolition & removal of debris from property (hi-rise apartment in NYC), removal of wall covering from walls, re-constructing 3 closets into one walk-in closet, closing up 2 doors & replacing baseboard, making floors even in closets and cleaning up walls in another closet to make even & supply insulation.

Description of Work: Total Renovation of home and did not do work correctly and lousy work which had to be completely removed and redone by another contractor, and threaten to put bullet between eyes and tried to foreclose on our home by falsely claiming that he finished all work which we didn't pay JB GENERAL CONTRACTING for the complete job.

Description of Work: For a residential property, this was a large concrete job. We used JB to replace over 50 linear feet of curbing and replace sidewalk. Also two large concrete yard areas were replaced and regraded to protect house from rain water during heavy storms. It was a five day job producing two containers full of debris. The work was done efficiently and safely with high regard for my family and my neighbors. The entire area was power washed and well cleaned afterwards. Best attempts were made to protect my wrought iron fence and the crew was careful enlarging a tree pit to protect the tree. I would recommend this contractor.

Description of Work: They removed the old covering on the front concert porch. Repaired the sub floor and installed grey stone tile on the porch and two front stairs. They also repaired the side work and installed a new apron for the driveway.they arrived on time ,worked well for two days and completed the clean-up. I also like the followup calls to ensure that I was satified with the completed work. I think the price was fair for the amount of work involved. I will use them again when I change my asphalt driveway to concert.

Description of Work: they took very little time going over the project specs and seemed generally disinterested. They gave me a quote 3,000 higher than others.I asked for an estimate in writing and never heard from them again.

Description of Work: Nothing, except give a bid to replace a stoop in front of my row house ranch style home in Brooklyn NY. I had two quotes prior to theirs and already know that my steeps were salvageable, J.B's rep. said they needed to be replaced. Their were some other things he said needed to be done I did not agree with using commom scene, and what was stated from the previous contractors. However, I would have made these changes including the steeps to get the job done right. When he gave me his price I took a fence. I could not believe he quoted $12,000.00. I beleive it was because I'm a. women and he thought I did't know any better. His bid was $4,000.00 more than my first bid and $8,000.00 more than my second. Outrageous!!!! I ask is there not any honest trustworthy people in the world I understand you work hard for your money and so do I!!!!!!

Description of Work: I called for an estimate to point my bricks in the front of my house. He was on time, but it was over priced.

Description of Work: We contacted J&B for a sidewalk repair job to address a notice of violation from the Dept of Transportation. Danny was very nice and responded to emails promptly. Very professional and courteous. Though the price was a bit higher than estimates we received from other contractors, I would contact them again for other jobs in the future.

Description of Work: I had front of driveway widened, cobblestone up one side of driveway and back steps replaced to one step. I have a tight schedule and we made a appointment and Joe came exactly as scheduled . I explained what I needed to be done and Within 2 days Joe had a quote. Joe was willing to accommodate the work according to my schedule because I wanted to wait to have a fence installed prior to the concrete being done. Once my fence was installed I called joe and he scheduled the work to be done the following weekend. I will also note that I wanted it to be done on a Saturday and joe made it no problem for that to be done. I felt the work was being done in a professional manner and I didn't need to be out their over looking the job while it was being done. The work came out better than expected. I plan on doing more concrete work in the future and I plan on using JB construction..
