The guys at JB Contracting did a phenomenal job on my house. I needed to have the concrete work done on the exterior of my home. Joe came out and was very professional and thoroughly went through my property to give me a detailed estimate. He called a few days later with and estimates and we agreed on the price. I signed the contract with a deposit and the permit was pulled from NYC. They started with dropping a dumpster early in the morning. The next day the crew was there before 7am to start the demolition of the existing concrete. The crew was exceptional. Rosario was the lead and he was extremely professional and addressed all my needs and concerns. The guys were careful, fast and efficient. Any item that came up was addressed to me first before the work was done. With all the rain storms and hurricane that passed through the east coast my concrete did what it was supposed too. It is pitched perfectly and all the water sheds away from my house and down to the street. Joe also put a lip on my driveway which I was supposed to have and now I don't get any puddles or leaves building up at the mouth of it. It makes a huge difference! I would highly recommend JB Contracting for any of your needs.

I was immediately impressed with how knowledgable and professional they were in approaching the project. They were completely aware of all the permits that were required and filed applications promptly. The only snag in the entire process was a delay in getting the permit from the notoriously dysfunctional NYC Landmarks Commission. Once the permits were granted the job was scheduled and completed in one day. Judging by the size of his equipment this was clearly a small project for them. ALL of the crew was very friendly and professional. In repairing the sidewalk there were issues to resolve with how my sidewalk abutted my neighbor's because of the roots from a tree that was not on my property, and he resolved them seamlessly. They were very thorough in re-routing the pedestrian traffic for the day in a safe and accommodating way. But most importantly; the sidewalk looks great!

Joe came to the house the same day I called him, gave me the estimate right away and waited for my call to confirm. He was patient enough to come back and explain the whole thing to my husband and right away we schedule the project. Eddie was the guy who actually performed the job. He is the best!!! Detailed oriented, perfectionist, nice and really hardworking. He spent a couple of days working in our kitchen and gave us some good suggestions about the materials. We absolutely loved their work and not only we would recommend them to our friends and family but we actually used their services again for the front steps of the house. Again they were very punctual, professional and honest. Joe always called after the guys finished their work to check if we were happy with the job or if we needed anything. Even though it may sound like JB is a big company, Joe really cares about his clients and provides customer support and service so you get the best service and the benefits of working with a good (big) company. We really really like their work and will not hesitate to use their services again.

I have only good things to say about JB Contracting. From the onset, I was treated with the utmost professionalism and courteous. I frequently travel for work and sought out JB a little in advance of actually committing to the job so there was a long lapse in communication between inquiry and starting the job. I'm not the easiest customer to deal with, not easy to reach and on the move at a moments notice. JB accommodated my schedule concerns and carried out the job to excellence. This was actually a fix to a job I had done incorrectly before so needless to say I had a bee in my bonnet about the whole thing. They immediately responded to my inquiry, came out and gave me an estimate well under what I had paid for the previous mistake. They scheduled a time and day, knocked out the job to perfection as far as I can see. Where I used to frown and fuss walking into my home, I now grin, pleased at the site of my repaired front area. I'm elated at the finished work. THANK YOU Danny and Joe for your patience and hard working team.

Joe gave me an estimate over the phone using pictures I sent over the internet, I had the work started and finished within the same day we scheduled. I only had to wait a day or two for the work to be done, and he even called to make sure the masonry man was already on the job (he was), and afterward to follow up on my satisfaction of the work. The masonry man even cleaned up afterwards so nicely it looked like nothing had even happened in the area - I had to put up a sign telling my tenants not to step there it looked so good. AAA professional guys, seriously - would recommend without hesitation!

I contacted JB Custom Masonry & Concrete for an estimate with regard to work on my sidewalk, back wall and patio/driveway. Joe came a few days later and give me an estimate for $8,000. However, I had gotten a few more estimates of which one was very similiar to JB Custom Masonry & Concrete but at a lower pice. I selected this company and had the work done for $7,000. Had it not been for the price I would have hired them.

Joe came and gave me an estimate that was better than I had gotten from others. workers arrived on time the day agreed on. work was completed as promised. they cleaned up very well. not 100% satified with the steps but since they were finishing someone elses work I guess it was the best they could do. upon checking the steps again I found the work not really satisfactory. they did not follow the pattern of the original steps and used only 13 bricks where the original had 14. leaving the cement between much thicker. very noticable. not quite as professional as I would have liked. The staff was excellent, both office and contractor. Arrived on time and cleaned up as promised. Disappointed in end result. Contacted Joe and told him I was disappointed in the look of the stairs. He sent Mr Moh back this morning they cleaned the old steps and repointed them so that they match the new steps. Looks really good . Am very pleased with the way my concerns were handled. Will not hesitate to use them again.

They returned calls promptly and their estimate seemed like a qualified one. There was nothing to complain about. I am yet to select any company for doing the work.

I must say that from start to finish JB was very pleasant to work with. Joe came over to my place and gave me a very reasonable estimate. I had five other firms in for estimates and JB was right in the middle when it came to price. Their men showed up on time everyday and acted in a professional manner. Joe,Danny and the nice lady in their office were very helpful with any questions I had.

The service was EXCELLENT!. The dumpsters were brought on time to the job site, and hauled away just moments after they were filled. I was surprised at how professional the office staff was during the work process, and how focused they are in providing excellent service. Going forward, I will only use JB for dumpster service. They are clearly well experienced. The things that I liked the best were: Its basicly one call, and they take control of everything else. The timing, and making sure everything is set up correctly and removed with care. Reasonable prices, great value, and excellent customer service. AAA in my book.

The price was average with everyone else for a 750 square foot that most people were asking for. The guy who came by was nice, knowledgeable, honest and knew what he was talking about. I think he could have done better on the price. He just gave us a quote verbally which I didn't like personally but would rather have liked something written. He came by when he said he was going to come by.

The work was performed in a professional manner with easy access to the staff onsite & in the office. The worker cleaned up the work area nightly and at the end of the project, the foreman walked the site and responded to all concerns as to care of the stones.

How wonderful to see a contractor who really takes pride in the work they do! JB Masonry re-pointed our bricks and gave us new front steps and railing. Our house looks like it's had a beautiful face-lift. The workers started and finished on time, charged just what they said they would, and did a very professional job in between. We can't think of a single negative thing to say. We highly recommend JB Masonry, and are looking forward to asking them to come back to re-pave our patio.

Overall JB is a first rate company. From the first inquiry to the final day of the job they were excellent. When I first spoke to Danny he was professional and courteous, he answered all my questions and explained some options. When Joe came out for the estimate he was great, he gave us more options and he really knew his stuff. Once we hired them they were right on the job, from calling to schedule, to arrival times, and Joe called me every night to see what we thought. You really cannot get any better.

The work was done in a very professional and efficient manner. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. They were very agreeable if I had any suggestions. I am very pleased with the results and happy with my new front path and repaired driveway. I intend to use JB again to steam hose, clean, point and seal the brick on the front of my house as well as the chimney.

We used both Angies list and ServiceMagic to locate suitable contractors. Seven contractors specializing in concrete work were narrowed to a short list of three contractors. The final selection of JB Custom Masons was made due to their responsiveness, clear communication, sufficient detail on work to be performed, reputation,and good record with the Better Business Bureau. The work was performed as described. We were able to work with Danny and Joe with a high level of coordination which was beneficial to our retail store tenants. Due to the work being performed at the front of the stores, including the entry way (doors) to each of the businesses, it was necessary to create temporary walk ways to enable the stores to continue serving their customers (imagine a Dunkin Donuts not being able to serve its customers who need their coffee). The crew performed their work in such a way as to minimize the impact to the businesses. It was sheduled in a single work session so as to miminize the disruption. Upon completion of work, the tenants reported the results were high quality (i.e. their stores look pretty). The specifications (concrete, reinforcement screen, etc.) indicate the job performed by JB Custom Masons should last for many years. In Summary our rating of JB Custom Masons is A+

All in all, a great experience.

Called up the office to schedule an appointment, office staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Owner came out for an estimate, was punctual, did not rush us, asked all the right questions. Came to an agreement on price and date of completion. They were able to send someone out a few days earlier than promised, which was appreciated. Worker was on time, was very meticulous, left the site clean, did excellent work.

Due to the high estimate and no regard to how I wanted the job done I declined to go further with this contractor's estimate. My 1st and only contact happened sometime in either May or June of 2010.

Overall project was excellent in the end. Job well done!!! First I was very impressed with JB's crew punctuality. Every morning they showed up around 7am and cleaned up by 5. I love the fact that they didn't mind me hanging around watching them work. They listened and addressed my issues same day. I didn't feel intimidated at all. They're work ethics are a cut above the rest. I like that they treated my property with care and cleaned the work site thoroughly each night. I'd like to express my gratitude to Joe for checking in via phone during the project and also showing up on the first day. Thank you Paul for supervising the work and addressing any issues right away. Very impressed that it only took JB's crew 4 days to complete mine and my neighbor's steps. After the cement set, they came back two days later to power wash the project site. JB's crew is very detail oriented when it comes to brick work and pavers. They pay special attention to cuts, details and measurement. JB is a very organized company with their own equipment and trucks. I have to honestly say that my neighbor and I felt uncomfortable on the phone with JB's office staff, Danny. I felt like I was always being rushed off the phone. As if he was too busy to talk to his customers and listen to their issues. I found at times he was impatient, cocky and rude. I preferred to speak to Rosa. Rosa has excellent customer service skills. She listens and let's you know that she is on top of the customer's issues. She is willing to work with whatever small or large issues the customer has. Thank you Joe and Hyman for fixing the iron gate's post. The gate is working like new again. Thank you again!!!! You can be assured that I will gladly recommend you to my friends and business associates.

THEY DID SEVERAL SIDEWALKS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THEY ALL LOOK GOOD AND WERE DONE IN GOOD TIME. I LIKED THEIR WORK AND WOULD USE THEM AGAIN IF I NEEDED TO.
