We were pleased with initial consultation and disappointed we never heard back despite following up.

He chemically cleaned and neutralized my disentigrating stairs/stoop, repaired all broken masonry, gave it two coats of matching color thorocoat finish. He was fast and so far it seems good. Just hoping it lasts 10 years or more. One year later, the contractor came to fulfill the warranty, after the harsh winter caused some bubbling of the coating. Unfortunately, the original builders installed stairs with too much lyme, so JB Contracting did much more touch up than I expected they needed to without any additional charge. The works also gave some good advice for the next time the stairs need repair work. I would definitely recommend JB to my neighbors with similar stair problems.

JB Contracting is a very professional team. The price was fair. The work was excellent! The service was impeccable! The project manager Ron is amazing, patient, and very service oriented. He was very responsive. Ron's, project management skills are top notch. The foreman, Rob, was great too. Rob made sure that was done with the best quality and eye for detail. Ron and Rob also offered great solutions and ideas as we worked on the project together. What was most impressive to me was the speed in which the work got done. The team worked quickly but carefully and finished ahead of schedule. Lastly, Joe the owner of JB Contracting made sure that the service his company provided left me happy. He called me personally to make sure that I was happy with the work. What a nice touch! Not too many businesses now-a-days have that level of attention for its customers. If you are thinking about getting major work done in your home or business, I highly recommend JB Contracting.

Joe and company are very efficient and trustworthy. Out of the four contractors that we called JB General Contractors has the BEST prices. Very reasonable and affordable. He came for estimate on Wednesday morning and received and signed the proposal the next day. Work started as scheduled. The workers are steadfast and very professional. Moore (foreman) is very helpful and made sure everything is being done well. They even did some extra work for us. They don't rush things and they informed us what needs to be done. They delivered what they promised! Overall, we are very pleased with their work and would use them again in the near future! Thank you so much Joe for making our house a HOME! Happy Holidays!!

We called Joe and he gave us the estimates promptly. The start of the project was delayed because of the terrible weather in Oct but they were on top of it as soon as the weather cleared. They were professional and courteous to our neighbors during the project. They've done an outstanding job and will work with them again.

Joe gave me a fair estimate for some sidewalk work at my house. It was the best priced of 3 estimates I got. I live in a historic district which needed a permit, which he took care of. Joe got the permit fairly quickly. He contacted me the day before they did the job. His guys did a good job with the work and the sidewalk looks great. Since it's only been a couple of weeks since I had the work done, I can't speak to the durability, but it certainly looks nice.

Called JB and Joe got back to me quickly. He scheduled a time to come over to scope out the job and arrived on time. He called as he was on his way to let me know he would be arriving soon. We discussed several options and I received an estimate by email that night. Joe was responsive and professional. Joe called to let me know when the work would start. The workers arrived as scheduled. They were polite and professional and they did a great job. When they left that night everything was cleaned up. They came back the next day to complete the job. I've had a lot of work done on the house and these guys did great work. Again when they left and the job was complete, everything was neat and clean. I will definitely call JB if I have any other jobs in the future.

A few hours after we called the company general line, Joe himself called back and got some general information of the project. He decided (and we agreed) that it would be best to see the job site. The appointment was set on the next day and Joe showed up punctually. He walked through the site, asked qustions, and appear very knowledgable/experienced in this type of work. It took about 20 mins and he promised to give us a quote the next day. Surely enough, a detailed professional quote was sent to us within 24 hours. His team member also responded promptly with our questions and followed up with technical detail clarifications. The assessment was free of charge. Although we didn't use their service this time due to our changed plan (unrelated to them), we highly appreciate and impressived by the responsiveness and professionalism Joe and Ron extended to us. The endorsement and recommendations from Angie's list are right. We will certainly keep them in mind for future needs.

They responded very quickly, showed up on time, were very professional and capable, and cleaned up the job site nicely. The work they did seems thorough. They had to work around an extension on the back of the house and sealed up any possible joints they could find from work that had been done previously. Good experience.

JB contracting was professional and did a quality job. The work was done in 4 hours, they roped off the area of sidewalk so that no one would walk on it and it was fully dry by the next morning. They also obtained the necessary permits and removed all the waste materials.

Joe was a pleasure to work with. He evaluated the project and promised a quote within one day, which we received. Work was completed on time per schedule and Joe's team of men were very professional, courteous and punctual each day. I highly recommend JB General Contracting and would gladly use them again should I need additional work completed.

They were extremely efficient, respectful and professional. They took the extra effort to round out the concrete around the tree, making it more decorative and functional. They did all they said they would, and did it in the time frame provided. They are highly recommended.

The guys did a great job, and that includes the laborers as well. Tony and his son Rosario were excellent, very professional with professional equipment to do the job. Did everything I asked for and more . Joe kept in touch with me, and even called after the job was done to make sure I was satisfied. My driveway and the front of the house looks great. Would definitly use them again. BTW, they are quick as well - in and out in one day. Came back a second day to power wash and to fine tune a few things. They left no mess!

He did a good job with the service. It rained and there was a slight issue, but he came back the next day to fix it as soon as I called him.

Joe and his crew showed up exactly when promised and Joe made sure to reach out to me constantly with progress updates as the job went on. The entire job took roughly 3 weeks and everything came out beautifully. I was looking for a company to put the finishing touches on my house, and Joe and his guys really came through. When I had any questions or slight alterations I wanted done, it was never a problem and everything was done exactly as I wanted. This was a big and expensive job and I am very pleased with the end result. Joe even continued to call to make sure everything was ok weeks after the job was completed. He was even helpful in recommending a landscaper to finish my outside work.

I dealt directly with Joe who was responsive and prompt although a bit abrupt. His crew showed up early and the job only took 2 days. I only had two issues with the job 1. I was disappointed by the professionalism of his crew, specifically the laborers who come to tear up the concrete. The JB workers (who wore JB branded shirts) were polite and professional. The other members of his staff (who I assume were temp labor) were less professional. They even cat-called passing woman throughout the day. I live close to a high school so some of those woman were underage. That was a bit disturbing. But the crew leader Tony and his son (I didn't catch his name) were both proficient and approachable. 2. If you live in high traffic area (my house in route to a subway station) you should demand they leave up barricades until the joint compound is completely dry. At the end of the day 2 they only left up yellow caution tape tied to buckets/utility poles to block off the work site. Within a couple of hours most of the tape blew away and pedestrians tracked the joint compound all over the blocks. This wasn't a huge deal but I had to scrub off the mess over the next few days. Overall, everything went well and a few weeks later and I'm still getting compliments on the new sidewalk. I would defiantly work with Joe and Tony again. I was just be more selective of their subs if the next job was inside my home. And FYI- they charge you tax but ask you to address your checks to CASH. This seems to be a trend for contractors recently This isn't unique to JB so it's not affecting my rating. That's just a general complaint about the industry.

They started work quickly and were very clean. Our neighbors have told us how professional the work looks. I will recommend him to everyone.

They were great, very professional. They did the job on the day I requested. They cleaned up nicely and I am very satisfied with the work. I would absolutely use them again.

The qaulity of the work was great. His crew showed up on time, were courteous and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and gave me instructions on how to treat the concrete for the next week (wet it once daily if it didn't rain) to build its stength so as to prevent cracking. The day the work was done it rained and some of the concrete got a little pitted. Joe responded right away and came to my home the next morning to repair the pits. The work they did looks great and I've had no problem with it. I think he does excellent work.

Joe arrived and I explained the situation and showed him the damage. He immediately determined that the job was too big and that the problem wasn't with my unit specifically but that the building wasn't made properly. This may very well be true as our building has all sorts of problems. I asked if there was anything that could be done to at least prevent the problem from getting any worse and he told me that he could simply remove the affected sheetrock in my basement, clean the mold and then replace with water proof sheetrock. This sounded like a good plan and he said he'd send a quote. 3 days later I simply got a text message reading $750. No context or explanation beyond a number. In order for me to get the work paid for by the seller who I purchased the apartment from I needed a proper quote/estimate. So I texted back asking that he please email a quote so that I could submit it. He said he would but I never received anything. I then called the office a week later as a last ditch effort and was told they'd be sending a quote along. I've yet to receive one. If the job was too big or too small I get that and as a business owner myself I understand that being choosy about what jobs you take is part of running a successful business. But so is professionalism. After reading all the positive reviews I truly wanted to hire JB but after my experience would not recommend them. Hy hope is that this was an isolated incident and perhaps my situation was unique. But as is the nature of community based sites such as Angies List I feel it's important to share all experiences, good and bad, so that we can all make informed decisions when spending our hard earned money on services such as these.

The best part was that they did the job on time and as a matter of fact, they stayed past the time to make sure that the concrete was hard so nobody would come and scratch their initials or put footprints in it. They made sure of that. I guess the worst part was there was a slight delay in the beginning, after they got the concrete broken up the concrete delivery truck got stuck in traffic so they had to wait maybe 1/2 hour, 45 minutes. It wasn't their time, it was the concrete delivery that was late.

It turned out very well. Everything looks very good.

I am about to use them again. They were pretty good on the first job so I am about to use them for a second job. It was a great job.

After reading several reviews I went with JB contracting. I liked the fact that he was straight to the point with little dialogue. He listened to what I wanted and saw what needed to be done. He was Very professional at all times. Being a woman I felt confident he was not in it Just for the money. It was a little costly but the outcome was worth it. The men that did the work represented him very well. I would recommend him and will definitely use him again. Thank God for decent, trustworthy businessmen! Thank you JB!!!!!!
