They put in my radiant heat system in 2003. They come in every year to clean it. There is no furnace, it's radiant heat. It's a boiler system. The price was average, I think it was fair. They're good.
Description of Work: They did a check up and cleaned the whole boiler system.

The goal of this project was to provide my parents with a reliable heating/cooling system. The existing furnace was a 25+ year old wood burning/oil combination unit that was having continual problems operating properly, resulting in my mom burning wood only. Prior to this combo unit, the house (an 1881 era two story home) had an old Lennox coal burning furnace - most heating was via supplies on the first floor only, and relied on gravity for return only, with no dedicated cold air return ducting. This was too much work considering her age and the toll Alzheimers is taking on Dad. I live in Northeast Ohio, a good 7 hour drive away. I set up August 16, 2013 as a travel date to come to my parents house and invited several contractors to come and give comparable estimates/quotes for the HVAC system upgrade - with verbally agreed upon appointment times set before making the trip. Charles Chiasson from Chiasson Heating arrived promptly at the agreed appointment time, and spent a good hour and a half going over all the things that would be done. I felt so comfortable with the meeting that I would have had his company do the work without holding the remaining appointments. Charles was very knowledgeable and desired to meet my expectations. There was not a high pressure sales attempt during our meeting. My professional job duties include hiring and coordinating work with contracting companies in the telecommunications arena, so this type of interface is second hand to me. I could tell immediately that Charles was genuine, honest, hard working, and one who would stand behind his company and work. Several of the other contractors never showed up for their slotted times, nor even called to cancel their appointments. I did have a meeting with a second contractor later that day - but I was settled that Chiasson's would be doing the work. The following week, Mom and I set the date for Chiasson's to do the work on Sept 23 and 24, 2013. The work included the following: *Disconnect the existing Combo wood/oil unit and move to side of basement. *Installation of a Rheem 95% two stage high efficiency furnace with a variable speed ECM blower system. *Installation of a Rheem 3 ton 13 SEER central air conditioning system. *Installation of an AprilAire high efficiency air cleaner. *Removal of oil in tank in the basement, and removal of tank from the basement. *Install supply air sheet metal, install new panning and connect new and existing supplies to new furnace. *Install new return air drops and connect existing returns to existing. All existing duct work and return air joists were cleaned and sanitized with duct cleaning machine. *Install new PVC venting through side wall. *Install new black metal piping for LP gas from the LP regulator to new furnace. *Install new Honeywell two stage heating and cooling thermostat with large LED read and backlight. *Install a condensate pump with PVC plastic piping to nearest drain. System startup, check and adjust all system operational parameters. The work was completed on the scheduled days, and my mom was very impressed with the professionalism of the installers from Chiasson's that did the work. She is also relieved that she doesnt have to go into the basement to throw wood into the old furnace to take the chill out of the morning air. I want to thank Charles and the entire team at Chiasson's!
Description of Work: Furnished and installed a replacement propane furnace, central air conditioning system, and high efficiency air cleaner.
