Westwood did a good job refinishing the floors. They came three times to apply the finish. The floors looked nice when they were done.

As a new resident of Westchester, I was recommended to Westwood by my realtor. I needed the flooring in the lower level of my house upgraded to hardwood, to accommodate my interior design studio. I have created similar rooms in previous houses, all over concrete floors. I have also dealt with many flooring providers who told me it couldn't be done. In the past, I have had to really push to get them to deliver what I wanted, and eventually I would find the right person to do so. With Westwood, they got it right on the first try. We hit a couple of bumps (had to level the floor more than anticipated; also discovered a sump pump in the corner that we had to work around). But they solved every problem and displayed professionalism and creativity along the way. I will definitely hire them again.

It went great! Westwood has done many jobs for me and each time the work was exemplary. They are always on-time, professional and courteous. They stand behind their work 100%. If I ever have a problem or need them to change something, they are always very responsive. Great customer service. The show room is top-notch -- excellent service with very knowledgeable sales people. they work with your budget and never try to sell you something you don't need. I highly recommend them.

From working with the yard to select our slabs, to measuring and creating the template and all the way through installation, this team was fantastic! They were knowledgeable, professional and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent service and superior work.

First point is that the floor looks wonderful I am very happy with the finished product unfortunately getting there was not quite as easy. I contacted Westwood after seeing their truck on the highway and then looking for them on Angie's list. After seeing basically all good reviews I telephoned and an appt was made for the next day for an estimate. Victor arrived and measured the room and we agreed on price he told me that he would call the next day to arrange a date to perform the work after five days I called them and was told by the person who answered that there was no record and she would get back to me. About an hour later Victor called and said he was sorry for not contacting me but would tomorrow between nine and ten work for me I agreed. The next day I waited until 11:30 before calling the office only to be told again "We'll get back to you" about fifteen minutes later Victor once again called and again apologized stating that the crew he sent had broken down and had not contacted the office but that they would be there in about one hour. Finally at about 1:30 they arrived and completed the job. The results were excellent but losing a whole morning waiting was quite annoying

Victor came to our home to give us an estimate for floor repairs after some water damage. He seemed very upbeat and pleasant. He inspected the floor and told me that he would get back to me the next day with an estimate. Two days later, he called our home and asked to speak to my contractor. I passed the phone to him and never got to speak to Victor. I texted him back and asked if he wanted to give me the estimate or speak to my contractor and he texted back saying "Speak to your Contractor". That was it. He didn't call back with an estimate - in fact - that was the last that I heard from him. He didn't even have the courtesy to call me back to tell me that he didn't want my business - which I would have understood. I was so disappointed as he had come highly recommended by another contractor. Fortunately, on Angie's List, we found Eagle Hardwood Flooring who could not have done a better job. Victor from Westwood flooring had said that there were a number of things that they couldn't do which Thiago from Eagle DID do. In fact, Victor told me that they couldn't exactly match my floor which Eagle hardwood flooring DID do. Everyone who comes to our home asks us "Who did your beautiful Floors". Thank you Victor from Westwood for your unprofessionalism as if it were not for you - we would not have found Thiago from Eagle Hardwood Flooring.

Company was very professional. Came out to do an estimate immediately, got back with the price in a few days. Invited us to come to the showroom to look at the wood samples in person, since we decided to go with pre-finished wood. Showroom staff very nice and helpful. Installer came on time with the crew, was extremely hard working and professional. Job took 2 days, looks beautiful. Hauled away all materials and carpet immediately, left no mess.

We first met Tom, who provided great service, giving us all available options and let us take our time to make the right decision. Based on the great sales service from Tom, we opted to have westwood also install the hardwood floors. And that is where we met Pat. He visited our new apt, and did a quick measurement. He provide us with a quote and closed on the price. Once he opened up the floors, he found out that there were other issues, and that were going to need to add plywood before installing the floor. There were no added charges. Tom , Pat and their crew were professional. I'll would certainly recommend them to family and friends.

Exact schedule for the floor work was not fully clear from the start of the work, the workers were polite and professional. It came out beautiful, but surface was a little gritty in a few places.

Everything went as expected. Job took 3 days. The apartment was cleaner than when the job began. The floors looked great.

This is sort of two tales about one store. Everyone I dealt with in the showroom at Westwood, especially Thomas, was polite, professional and helpful as we went through the difficult process of picking a countertop and backsplash. Their advice was insightful throughout and they helped steer us toward optimal solutions within our budget. When we settled on a backsplash that was a little more than we had anticipated, Tom worked with the manufacturer to get a deal on volume pricing because of the number of tiles involved. My issue, however, stems from the other end of the business. For visits to do the template of the countertop and for the actual installation, the crew arrived late and only after I had placed phone calls to inquire about their whereabouts. When the countertop was put in, the crew broke a valve underneath my sink, which will now require a plumber's visit and turning off of the water. Westwood said, without an argument, it will pay for this, but it's an inconvenience. A little more care and attention to the detail and this situation could have been avoided. I also had an issue where I discovered the edges of the countertops were not shaped consistently. Some were curved, others straight. But the only way to fix it was to take back the entire countertop and refabricate it. That wasn't happening. Westwood did take some money off the final bill to make amends. Again, the customer service in the front is beyond reproach. For that, I would recommend them. However, more attention to detail and better training of those who visit the house and ultimately shape the full experience of dealing with the store is needed.

We had a great experience with Westwood flooring. Victor took the time to answer all of our questions, not only on the day he came to take a look at the job and give us an estimate, but several times after we received the estimate. He was very patient with us! They refinished two bedrooms and a hallway. The floors were in pretty rough shape after years of being covered in carpet. The job took about 4 days and was completed while we were on vacation. When we returned from vacation we were VERY pleased to see how great the floors had come out. It was the best decision we've made so far in our short home improvement history. I highly recommend Victor and his team. They are very professional and do outstanding work.

Floors had been previously covered by old carpeting and even laminate in some places. They were a real wreck before Westwood got there. The crew worked quickly and really did an amazing job restoring the natural wood. Excellent quality work. Arrived when they were supposed to and finished on time. Very fair pricing. Highly recommended.

They, did a fantastic job. They were on time and did more work than was included in the original estimate and didn't ask for more money. The craftsman who did the work was a tru professional with 12 years experience. I would definitely use them again!

This was a redo from a previous remodeling. Victor and Joe were great - they did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. They really put my mind at ease that the job was going to be done to our specifications. And, it was.

They were alright. The work is fine. The sales guy told me he was confident we could move our stuff in a few days after the floors were done. The contractors who were still doing some work while the floors were being done warned us to wait longer. They did decent work, but our contractors were not as confident in the time frame given to move in and move furniture around. The floors do look great.

We had originally thought of considering Westwood Flooring to do our bamboo flooring for the master bedroom and loft area. They had been highly recommended by several friends who lives in our neighborhood. Thus, when we went to their showroom, we only looked at their wonderful displays of wooden flooring and never thought of getting tiles from them. They were also recommended to us by All Star Woodworking for their countertops. While purchasing the countertops at Westwood for our new bathroom vanities and tub deck, Thomas of Westwood asked us if we needed tiles. It was only then that it dawned on us that they also sold tiles. In shopping around, we found that Westwood Flooring gave us the best pricing on any tiles that we ordered. But, what was a great, added bonus was the wonderful customer service and support that we received. On a few occasions, we saw tiles elsewhere that were not displayed at Westwood. Thomas would call his distributor and order us samples so that we could take them home to see if they were a right fit for room and the lighting conditions in our house. As well, Thomas allowed us to borrow and take home any tiles that we found at Westwood in order for us to see if those tiles would work well with what we wanted for a particular room. Also, there were times where we weren't quite sure what style or color of tiles we needed. After describing our design plan, Thomas was able to go though his wide selection of tiles and give us recommendations to consider. As previously described, he allowed us to borrow and take home samples to look at it under the lighting conditions in the rooms of our home. Generally, the longest that we ever waited for any order was one week. More often than not, it would not take more than two or three days. There were three occasions where we had underestimated our order, and needed tiles quickly to complete the various projects. In all three cases, Thomas was able to rush the order where I was never delayed more than 2 days. Finally, the tiles that Westwood carries are all of high quality. They truly carry a wide selection of tiles that would meet the needs of anyone. It is without hesitation that we recommend Westwood Flooring for any of your tile needs. As a further and related note, we have not only been pleased with their tiles, but we have also been completely satisfied with the countertop work and bamboo floor installation that we ultimately had Westwood Flooring do for us. They truly are a hidden treasure worth finding.

We wanted to replace our existing carpet on the second floor with hardwood flooring. We we first started researching wood flooring for our master bathroom, walk-in closet, loft area and stairs over a year and a half ago by looking at two highly recommended companies. Westwood Flooring was the most responsive and emailed us an estimate immediately after coming to measure the space. When we had considered the other highly recommended flooring company, we had to pursue them for their estimate after they came to measure. So, when we seriously decided to have bamboo floors installed, we chose Westwood Flooring, since they had already been so very accommodating when we were selecting tiles for our bathroom renovations. Victor, who came to measure both times, was very personable, reviewed our estimate, and explained the different types of pieces needed for the entire floor and stairs. We wanted minimal trim and opted for shoe molding for our baseboard. After finalizing with Victor, we scheduled the installation to be done immediately after Labor Day. However, due to an oversight, this did not occur. However, Victor made up for his error by expediting the order to minimize the delay to only one week, and increasing the crew size to have the installation done in less time than it would normally have been done. Three men came and worked very efficiently. The team taped up plastic sheeting to minimize dust going into the rest of the house. They set up their saws outside on the deck and the driveway to cut the wood. Rinaldo was responsible for installing the flooring in the three areas. He nailed each plank to the under laying plywood floor, and cut what planks were needed to fit the space. Fabio and Leo were teamed to renovate the stairs by cutting and trimming the treads of the old stairs and installing the new bamboo steps, risers, and railing base. They also capped the edge of the loft floor with the matching bamboo nosing. The stairs, loft and master bedroom were completed by the end of the first day. As we inspected the work that Leo and Fabio had done on the stairs, we noticed that the two pieces of bamboo nosing, which were butted together to create the railing base for the lower stairs, did not have matching shades in color. We realized that bamboo has varying shades and that the joined pieces at least should be close in color, as was done for the railing base on the upper part of the stairs. However, the railing base for the lower staircase had two very noticeable shades and was not a close match at all. When asked if they could replace one of the nosing pieces to match the other, we were initially told that they did not have enough bamboo nosing to do so. We were disappointed. But, when Rinaldo returned the next morning to finish the flooring for the walk-in closet, he brought another piece of bamboo nosing and replaced the unmatched one on the lower railing base. He had found a great match and installed it beautifully. He installed all the shoe molding in all the areas when the closet floor was completed. Finally, Leo and Fabio installed bamboo reducers for the doorways leading into the master and guest bathrooms. They also replaced a plank of flooring in the bedroom so that there was a better distinction between the flooring and shoe molding. Aside from the slight disappointment we had in scheduling and matching bamboo color, the entire installation of the floors and stairs came out beautifully. The floor is very smooth, very clean-looking, and give our second floor a more spacious feel. The Westwood Flooring team did a wonderful and professional job on the installation of the bamboo floors and stairs. They also went out of their way to own up to their mistake and do whatever they could to accommodate us. We would recommend them for their professional installation without any hesitation.

We initially went to Westwood Flooring to purchase tiles for our bathroom renovations and realized they have a large selection of countertops options as well. Their large selection made it simpler to compare the different types and materials of countertops, from stone to the many brands of quartz, which we were interested in. We had looked at different stores, but each store carried only a couple of the quartz brands, so comparing was difficult if you wanted to see the colorations of each brand side by side. Thomas at Westwood was very friendly and informative about the products, providing pros and cons. He made recommendations about the layout and cutting of the slab for the spaces to minimize the amount of seams needed so it would be aesthetically appealing. There was also a choice of edging available. Tom helped calculate how much we needed and the cost of the materials based upon our measurements of the spaces. The production team did a beautiful job cutting and polishing the quartz with precision. We chose the same white quartz for all three bathrooms. Our initial experience was the laying of the deck slab for our whirlpool. The Westwood team came and templated the space for the slab. The installation of the deck came out beautifully, with only two seams, which are hardly noticeable. The team was very professional and worked well together, each team member responsible for a particular aspect of the installation. The second experience was the master bathroom vanity top, which was also templated first. The vanity countertop was cut to fit perfectly between the two vanity towers. The cutouts for the double undermount sinks and faucets were cut neatly for the perfect fit. Again, the team installed and caulked the vanity countertop cleanly, providing another beautiful job. The third experience was the installation of another quartz counter in the guest bathroom, as well as a matching quartz backsplash. The countertop included a banjo piece which extended over the toilet, providing a bit more counter space. The matching backsplash gave the area the illusion of a larger space with a more uniform look. The team worked seamlessly together, assisting each other and finishing their own part of the job. They produced another pleasingly, successful, professional and beautiful installation. The fourth experience was the installation of a quartz counter for the powder room This was the simplest of the four, and, as was expected, installed professionally and beautifully with the rectangular undermount sink and single faucet. Finally, the fifth experience was the installation of the kitchen counters. We chose a beautiful deep blue quartz with recycled glass. One end of the counter was extended to provide a counter for seating. The vertical leg support was a solid piece of the matching blue quartz with a miter edge which was joined to the countertop with epoxy. The miter joints, suggested by Thomas, gave the counter a very seamless, clean and sleek look. When the team started to install the vertical support, they realized the slab was slightly higher than the top of the counter. They immediately took it outside, where they had their equipment, to cut the slab to the correct height. However, before they proceeded to cut the slab, they were meticulous and precise about measuring the piece a couple of times to be sure of the amount needed to be cut. All the pieces were also leveled both horizontally and vertically, providing another gorgeous, professional installation. (Please note that due to the lighting, the attached photos of the blue quartz do not show the true beauty and color of the quartz to do it justice.) We definitely recommend Westwood Flooring for their selection and installation of countertops. The Westwood team take their jobs seriously, work well together, arrive punctually, take a lot of pride in their work and provide outstanding and beautiful installations.

The work was performed right on estimate and on time (3 days). They even replaced the subflooring in the bedroom at no additional charge when I discovered the old floors there were very squeaky. Being on time was particularly critical as I was incurring charges while waiting to move into the condo. The estimate was professional, the individual was right on time, the install team was neat and timely. The only cleanup I had to do was to vacuum the sawdust from the installation off moldings and walls and I will need to paint the moldings. The floors look absolutely beautiful and they did a top notch job.
