I called to ask for a service to come to look into a dryer that was not starting up. Their website boasts that they service on the same day. The teller said that a service can be "squeezed in" on the day and someone will be there on that day between 1-5pm. There will be a cancellation fee if I cancel the service request. The repair service never showed up. The next day when I called back, the teller kept on insisting that she meant the next day and not on the day and that it was recorded to be on the following day. Took me 3 calls and a strong insistence that I can't stay home and need to get to work finally made them agree to cancel without penalty. I did not misheard them when I called the first time to make the reservation because I did ask back, "Are you sure you can come today??" I needed to be super sure of the time and date because I had to stay home and take time from work during the time frame.
Description of Work: The service request was made by a phone call. The teller suggested a given time and the repair man never showed up.

My oven door was broken on Saturday April 2, 2010. I called Service Pro because they were the first company to pop up online as a Fridgidaire repair specialist and because they offered a $25 coupon. I scheduled an appointment with them for Monday April 5 from 1pm-4pm. I took the afternoon off from work to meet them. At 2:50pm Jen, their representative called me to tell me the service tech would be at my house in 10 minutes. At 3:50, I called back and was told he was delayed and that he would be ther in 10-15 mins. He never came. I left a message, but did not hear back from them for 3 days. When they called back, they apologized and said they could meet me Monday April 12 from 4pm-6pm. I took another 2 hours off of work. I called at 4 and they said someone would come. No one ever came. I called and they said they would have tech call me. Tech said he could not come to my house. Tuesday April 13, I get a call from Wallace, apologizing, telling me tech has now been fired and he would set me up with a Saturday service call and he would get back to me right away to confirm that. It is now Wednesday and I have never heard from him. These people give incomptetant a whole new meaning.
Description of Work: Broken oven door. No service performed, but $200 in lost wages.
