It was diagnosed and fixed. The electrician was fast and courteous.

Excellent service, diagnosed the problem in short period and fixed it , door bell camera installed in short order.

We hired Conte to install wiring and overhead light/fan fixtures for 3 bedrooms, and to install wiring and lighting for a large attic. We first got an appraisal, and the office staff had already tentatively scheduled a work date, which worked out well. I was at work during the process, but the crew of 2 electricians were able to let themselves in and perform the work. I came later to check it out and they did a terrific job. Frankly, if I didn't know I hired them, I would have never known they were there. Perfect work, everything cleaned up, and now we can see in the attic. They installed an illuminated switch in the hallway below attic so that we can turn on the lights from below and see (via the illuminated switch) if the lights are on or off. Definitely would hire them again.

They came the day after I called, finished in the minimum time and were easy to deal with. $150 for a house call seemed a little steep, but I'm glad I called them.

Job went without any issues, courteous crew, affordable price, will definitely hire again.

They came as an emergency because all the smoke alarms were going off. They were about eleven years old and I thought it was a battery issue or a wire issue or something. It wasn't. It was time for them to be replaced. They were like hot-wired to the house, you know, a plain battery without being plugged in, so I had to have an electrician do it. They responded right away because the alarm was going off all night. They were here in the morning right away with their crew. They had to go and get two more and they were right back right after lunch. They're extremely good people. I would give them A across the board. I would definitely use them again.

They are very competent, polite, and patient since we change plans and request a lot.

Fantabulous! I've used Conte numerous times and they are one of the nicest, most professional and competent, reasonably-priced and fair, companies I have ever known. I am not exaggerating, and, no, I have no personal connection to the company. In this case, which is not unusual, he worked quickly, found the problem, solved it, and didn't try to tease it out into a more expensive fix. They charge a flat fee for the first hour—so since the short was fixed so easily, I had a couple of other things we got done as well. And, Joe, my service guy, is the nicest guy you will ever want in your home.

They had to take the light apart. They are also very fairly priced. They even have emergency overnight service. If they get hung up on another job, and they're gonna be a little late, they call. They do a great job and are fairly priced. Some people are way higher priced than them in this area. They did my whole house wiring when we rebuilt it. They know my house and they do a good job. They have been consistent over time.

They had to do all the hookups, light fixtures and everything. They did excellent work, in a timely fashion, the job was done clean and neat.

I got new lines put through because if I used one outlet in the bathroom and the kitchen outlet at the same time, something blew. So they did all of that. They were very good. I thought it was very reasonable. I liked everything about them, they were great. My interaction with them was very good, easy, marvelous. They did everything for me. They understood what was wrong and took care of it for us. They knew what I wanted and did it. The work they did turned out perfect.

Great! Able to do entire upstairs and basement in one visit and FAST. Would definitely call upon again if needed.

They were on time, very professional, did not cut any corners on safety, performed the job for a good price, and tested the equipment to make sure everything was in working order after installation. I am very satisfied with the completed project.

This went very well. The basic price per hour was stated by the office in advance when I arranged the appointment. They came on time, double-checked what needed attention and went ahead and did it in a very reasonable time. They were very pleasant and professional. All-in-all, I'm very happy with Conte Electric, and I have dealt with them several times in the past, always good!

This company is very responsive and very prompt, an unusual thing these days. The men were exceptionally polite, clean and professional. They completed the work in less time than expected and were very informative as the work progressed. They left not one piece of refuse, dust or wire behind. Very polite and professional people. As an electrical engineer I cannot hesitate in recommending this firm to anyone based upon my experience.

Reviews are mixed as I dealt with multiple people and I don't know who performed some of the work as I was not living at my house during remodeling. Some people were competent, nice and friendly whereas another's work and attitude were bad. If possible, avoid having their electrician Fausto do your work. He made some minor mistakes such as reversing the motion sensor light power switch plate in the attic. I don't know if he was the same electrician who did not recess a quad outlet box next to my kitchen. Mistakes happen but he gave me some attitude when I asked him to adjust the motion sensor light timer. Pre-install, I asked for it to be ~ 20 seconds but it stayed on for 10+ minutes. I told his supervisor and Master Electrician, Chris Paci who laughed it off as no big deal. The one big mistake Fausto made which could have been disastrous was that he did not remove the green neutral wire in my generator transfer switch box located in the basement. Moreover, this wouldn't have been discovered had not the Electrician Inspector spotted it in mid December '14 while he was at my home to check the solar panel electrician's work. If I hadn't installed solar panels, I wouldn't have known about the green wire problem since Conte Electric didn't set up the inspection right after my June '14 generator hook-up. Also, there were several times when I did not receive email responses from Chris Paci. I still have multiple emails in my sent box that he has never responded. His email dated June 2, 2014 stating that his crew would bolt down my generator the next time they came out to me. That's hasn't happen as their crew have been back twice to fix the above issues but have not done the bolt down. That's the one positive about Conte Electric; they do come back in a timely manner (no more than a week) once they are aware of the issue (except they still have not come tie down my generator.) I've had a landscaper who told me 3x in as many weeks that he would come back to fix his work but he never did. One thing, I've noticed, contractors, including Conte, do not apologize for their mistakes. I was raised to apologize and accept responsibility if I did or say something wrong. Although, it's great that they come back, I hope they realize it's still an inconvenience to have any contractor do work at one's house. Better to have qualified individuals perform things (without attitude) right the first go-around. It saves everybody time and money. Update: 3/26/15 Since Conte doesn't seem to want to admit or acknowledge the crucial mistakes mentioned above, I am downgrading their score. They don't seem to understand the potential severity of Fausto's mistake with my Transfer Switch green wire and their forgetting to set up the follow-up electrical Inspection. Instead, they chose to say they are committed to quality and will continue to do so...blah blah blah. It's only now in a public forum that they apologize. I have emails when I notify them of the problems with no apology whatsoever.

Estimate included adding a circuit although there is existing capacity on circuit in place.

Price I gave was an estimate for the 200 amp upgrade. I dont have the price in front of me for either job, but I kept forgetting to put this up and did not want to put it off any longer. Chris showed up for the estimate for both jobs. He presented reasonable quotes for both jobs. He also offered various options for both jobs that I did not think of, so that helped a lot. His crew showed up exactly as promised. Both jobs went smooth. Both crews were polite and professional. The office staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I like the fact that both crews were quite and clean, no b******* and banging things. I think we have all had work done with companies that send in crews that complain about how everything is wrong , that and the job is going to be difficult . I was so glad these guys were NOT LIKE THAT. They showed complete confidence that it was all going to be fine, and it was. I would not hesitate to recommend Conte Electric to family or friends, as a matter of fact I already have.

I discussed the work with a Conte representative (did not catch her name) when scheduling the job. She asked if I'd like someone to come out and give me an estimate first and I said no thanks; I had an idea of how much time it would take and thought it would be easier if we had one appointment instead of two. But she did explain the bill rates to me so I knew what to expect. Joey showed up on time and with a smile on a freezing cold morning around 8:15 am. I reviewed all of the work with him and he took it all in, discussing potential solutions on the #1 job which was moving the existing fixture. He was extremely pleasant. He put on "booties" to protect our carpet before he would walk on it which we appreciated. He completed the work in about 3 hours which is what I expected. He did a nice, neat job. We're happy customers.

This was two separate jobs. Although it is taking some time to get the generator, their guys came out in advance and installed the panel. They gave us the option of purchasing the generator in our own for quicker turn around. They were very professional, courteous and explained how everything will work once the generator arrives. Their quote was less than 1/2 what others wanted and they quoted us the most reasonable generator for what we wanted powered. Other companies only gave us the option of far more power than we needed or wanted & far more work on our panel. We also had an entire room with no electricity (we just the purchased home, it was not a thrown breaker) and a handful of new light fixtures and switches to install. Obviously, the room issue could have been a big or little problem. One company gave us a flat fee estimate of $2,000 to diagnose and fix the problem + additional fees for the other installations. Conte gave us a quote with minor fees for the install work and simply "Time & Material" for the room. It took Joe 30 minutes to find and fix the problem @ less than $100 an hour. They are a busy group, so it took some time for our work. But they are very reasonably priced compared to others and honest!

Person arrived on time and was knowledgeable about what to do. The ceiling fan was in a box, the electrician took everything out of the box and installed and assembled the entire unit. This ceiling fan was a replacement so the box and wiring was already in place. It was effortless on my part. Staff was friendly and made good conversation. I will use Conte Electric again on my next project.

The main breaker in the house kept shutting off when we turned on our spa. It had never happened before. Conte was quick to respond and gave us the best date for service. Two servicemen came and checked out the board and spa very carefully to test the draw when various appliances were on at the same time. They waited awhile to make sure nothing happened and also fixed some outdoor lighting in our entranceway. Everything since has been fine. We will call them if it happens again and perhaps have to change the main breaker.
