TruGreen Lawn Care - 5515

Priced fairly. Lawn looking so much better after only the second season of applications! The heads up phone call for upcoming arrival is very helpful! No pressure sales is appreciated. Technicians have all been very personable and friendly and do a perfect job! Branch # 5515Brenda Zarkovich announced her arrival and departure, was so nice and did a perfect job!

I originally had Scotts lawn service, TrueGreen bought them out. I did not care for the services 1) they left plenty of fertilizer pellets on driveway and sidewalk, 2) applied fertilizer just before a thunderstorm, washed away a lot of it into the storm sewer, and 3) Scotts would leave bill at the door, pay it, no problem. It took TrueGreen about 7 to 10 days to send the bill through the mail, which the payment would be late with in a couple of day of receipt. All these lawn services have automatic renewal, TrueGreen gave me a real bad time trying to cancel the service. I will never ever consider them again !

The cost was $200 for the year. I heard from other people that they did that type of job for other people. So, that's why I went with them.

The quality is very good. I like the technician that I have. He’s very knowledgeable. He answers all your questions and gives you good advice. I have to tell them I want that technician or I wouldn’t use them again. It takes him probably within a half hour. It’s an acre. Cleaning up after himself is fine. No problem.

The service turned out excellent, wonderful. The price is average, the same as everybody.

They are good. I would say that they can't get much better than the lawn service they get from them. Don't expect them to do much more than that. It's exactly what they do.

I am a little disappointed because I had crabgrass and I still have crabgrass. I also have stickers. They just come when they come. They are very professional; I can't complain about that. They are super-polite. They just come, do their thing and don't bug me. So far they have proven to be the best but I wish they could get rid of those stickers.

They don't mow the lawn or trim the shrubbery. I don't know what they did not do right this time but the color is gone in my lawn. My lawn is, like, brown. Some of that may be coming from watering and not watering enough. It is a little more than that so they are coming back out to re-treat it for free. They are pretty good, so I am just going to see what happens. My lawn is usually a real plush green and very nice but for some reason this year it is not doing well. There is a little crabgrass so they are going to come out and treat it for free. The price may be a little high. They apologized and I don't know what happened. I have had them for about 15 years and this is the first time I have had a situation.

I did not like them. They started out at one price and then they increased the price but they could not tell me the reason why they increased the price. I talked to the supervisor and I never got a straight answer from them, they said that they will call me back. I never had problems with their service, it was their price that I had problem with because I could not understand why their price suddenly went up in the middle of the year. When I told them that I don’t want to use them anymore because of the price increase, they seem to accept it. It seems that their prices did go up but I should have been notified first. It went up substantially, it went for $15. I consider a lot of money. It started out to $45 then it went up to $59. The service was very good and I was pleased with the service. Something happened but I’m not sure what it was.

I sign up for the year for a certain amount. I have used them for 3 years now. This year has been good, I have no dislikes, and I am a pain too.

A young salesman came to the door from Trugreen. We were in our house about 9 months so our lawn was in need of help. We had considered having top soil brought in and hydroseeding done. The TruGreen representative explained what they could do to help as an alternative. He was knowledgeable and talked about their service including aeration and seeding in the fall. I am glad I started the service with TruGreen and can already notice the difference. I did not need to put topsoil down or hydroseed. Instead I went with the TruGreen recommendations. It was a lot cheaper and so much easier for us. My neighbor also hired TruGreen Kathbased on my experience.

They are conscientious about where they are putting down the chemicals in regards to my vegetables. They also comment on things we can do to make the lawn better.

There were no problems. They weren't any better or worse than anybody else. I've used them for a couple of years. It is the same fellow that comes and I like him. He is a nice guy and will answer questions. He will point out any deficiencies or whatever. The price is average.

This is the 2nd year of using this service. I was not pleased with lawn results last year (which was 1st year using them). Decided to give them one more chance. Lawn quality is still not what was expected (weeks, crab grass, etc). I have decided to go with a new service for the 2014 season.

The price for the service is reasonable when comparing to other vendors, however, two problems have occurred: 1) No notification on service. The sales rep clearly stated that I would be provided with at least 48 hours notice on all lawn care applications. TruGreen applied fertilizer and grub control within two weeks of my purchase yet failed to contact me at all for notification of spraying services. I was only informed after I called to question why I was not notified that I would need to stay off the lawn for 24 hours. 2) After clearly stating to the sales rep I wanted to purchase a full-year service all at once, the sales rep still assigned me to a payment plan charging me $73.70. Less than one week later, I received a charge on my credit card for the full amount. After contacting the local office, I was advised that it would take 1-3 business days to remove the $73.70 charge. After 4 days, the charge was still on my account. I called the local office again to be informed that the charge will now be removed in 2 weeks. I would like to recommend TruGreen to friends and family but I have not had a satisfactory initial experience. The company has not yet provided pesticide services so I cannot comment on the impact (quality) the services have had on my lawn. Update: I contacted customer service because I did not receive a service agreement to be signed for the new year of service. After three requests, I asked to have services cancelled if I did not receive service agreement by a certain date. I did not receive service agreement by required date. TruGreen showed up and still applied chemicals to my lawn - without notice. I called to reconfirm my cancellation and found that I actually had a credit for overbilling from the previous year. The company is very unresponsive to my requests - they do not have customer service based out of Western NY (it is in Lancaster, PA) and I have yet to receive a call back from the service manager.

They come with a schedule and they treat my lawn about six times a year. They are professional and friendly and I will continue to use them in the future.

They are okay; they are fine. I haven't had any problems with them. They do it about 5 or 6 times a year. The gentleman that does it is knowledgeable and he answers any questions. He demonstrates and they are not adverse to answering any questions. Their prices are probably about the same as everybody else.

It went good. I use them all the time. They do fertilizing, weed control and grub control. I am getting the really basic service. I just changed to this. The lawn looks great. I called to change to the basic package. It was easy to contact them. They leave me a voicemail when they are coming to ensure there is access to the lawn. They are unobtrusive and do the work.

TruGreen is fairly punctual. They let you know a couple of days in advance when they are coming. They don't want any animals in the yard, after they apply the chemicals. When they send the statement, they include suggestions about what you should do for your lawn. Things like watering more, or raising the mowing height. I have been using them for about 6 or 7 years.

They keep the lawn looking very good. This is my second year with them, and I'm happy to be with them. The lawn has never looked better.

I have a contract on an annual basis and it runs $218, that is five applications. I have no dislikes. They do a good job. They are always here when they say they are going to be here and they stand behind what they do, but if they had any problems, they rectified and it was prompt. Their price is probably a good price when compared to some others.

I don't think they actually did anything to the lawn. I never had so many weeds and grubs. When I complained they were unresponsive and then rude. When I refused to pay for any more treatments, they harrassed me over the phone.

The experience was great overall. They were prompt and efficient in providing the service.
