We had looked on-line at companies that build custom doors; those companies promised 3 week delivery but we wanted to shop local so went with Quaker Millwork to purchase new interior doors for our home renovation. We visited the showroom and saw nice products so we placed our order. We were told our order would take 5 weeks. Instead, it took 11 weeks. Calls to inquire about status of project rarely were returned or returned in a timely manner. When they were returned, the answers were vague, or creative, at best - ranging from, ?we decided to bring the work in house? to ?the only guy that does the work is out sick?. As the project bogged down, we felt our $6,000 residential job wasn?t big enough for Quaker to care about. Quaker?s inability to deliver pushed our finish date for our home remodel back further and further given that it could not really be complete without bedroom doors, closet doors and bathroom doors. Interestingly of the four wonderful reviews posted on superpages.com; 3 were posted on the same day, coincidence? Two of those even had the exact same wording, go figure.
