Buffalo & Orchard Park Topsoil Inc

I originally wanted to go with another topsoil company that was closer and less expensive, but due to the heavy rains this spring, their manure compost was too damp to mix with the soil. So due to time constraints with getting my vegetable garden planted, I went with this company. They were able to deliver the same day that I called, which was very good because I had plants in containers that were wilting in the heat. Unlike the company I wanted to go with who ran their soil through a 5/8" screen, Buffalo & Orchard Park Topsoil provides 'shredded' topsoil. I didn't realize this would mean that I would get large rocks, trash and just about everything else that they dug up and processed with their shredder. Additionally the manure compost mix that they provided was not very well incorporated with the shredded soil and was very clumpy. It took hours for my husband to break apart the manure clumps and mix in, so that our plants didn't get burned from the acidity. We spent a lot of time pulling out rocks the size of golf balls to the size of my fist, as well as trash like rubber, plastic, cloth, etc. from what was delivered to us. Most of the trash looked like stuff that would come off a construction site like plastic utensils, work gloves, burlap, etc. This was my first time purchasing topsoil by the cubic yard, so I'm not sure if this is out of the norm or not. But I would not use this company again.
