A PC Clinic

John at A PC Clinic took our back-up hard drive and new computer and transferred files to it, came to the house and set it up without linking it to any of our laptops. The price was much higher than expected after quote. We were to bring in one laptop to his office to receive an additional memory stick, and after more than an hour wait we were told our model laptop would not accept more memory. We were charged for cleaning up viruses in it. When we tried to use the new home lan system, it required a user and password which John never gave us. It took many contacts and phone calls and 5 weeks to finally get him to come to free up our system so we could use it. He entered our home yelling/accusing me of telling his assistant I thought they were giving me the run-around! I told him I felt they did! He became offended and instead of fixing the problem, handed us a refund check for a fraction of what we had paid them. So we got left with a system he set up and we cannot use and out $259.80 after his small refund.

My laptop would not boot up. Possible motherboard issue and that is very expensive to repair. My data on th HD, was my main concern. John confirmed my Mother Board in the laptop was gone. John (Josh -intern)stated they would offer a refurbished Dell with dual core processor 3GB Memory, etc and copy all recoverable data from my drive to the Dell laptop. All for $300.00. Agreed and received the refurbished Dell and my data is there and works great. I did notice the power cord was damaged, called and John responded, that he had the correct new cord there, seemed to be a mixup. So going to swap that out this week. Very professional and so far great customer service.
