I contracted with Ashby exterior (Steven Ashby) to re-do the roofs on our cottage, garage and shed. He came highly recommended by a neighbor who had used him. |He was not always quick to return calls. Once he had reviewed the potential job with me, there was a delay in sending the estimate for a couple weeks, which really wasn't explained. We wanted to move the job along because he looked at the job about labor day, and we wanted to be sure to have a new roof by winter. He assured us that he could get it done by the end of November. To sum it up, I needed to be persistent in contacting him if I didn't hear back from him. |With that out of the way, I want to say that he was extremely knowledgeable about roofing methods and materials. He told me that he personally worked every job site with his crew and makes sure they do everything right. The results were great! I went back up on the new roof with him last Saturday, and was very happy with the workmanship. He showed me, with pictures, how they had encountered rotted wood, structural challenges, and had worked to make everything right. He noticed that our 2 skylights over our deck were deteriorating and called me, and we decided to have them removed and roof over the area. |They also did an excellent job on cleanup, with only a few tiny pieces of debris seen. |We weren't able to compare prices due to our location and the coming end of the season, but we believe that his price was reasonable. | | |

He is good. He was very reasonable. We always found him to be very good. We would use him again.

The team came recommended by friends and was very professional, knowledgable, and capable. They did an excellent clean up job after work was completed, using magnets and other equipment to find any runaway nails or metal in flower beds from the project. Team was quiet and quick.
